[Xperia J] Flash Mode + Fastboot = 'USB Device Not Recognized' - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello Everyone, So i have a Sony Xperia J Unlocked Boot Loader + Custom MIUI Rom, I wanted to go back to stock rom, but when i use flashtool and place my device on flashmode a green LED indicates on my device like usual but on my pc screen it says ' USB Device not Recognized' so now i can't flash stock ftf, is there any other way to get to stock rom or any way to resolve this problem?
(I have a 64-Bit Windows 8.1 Laptop)

First select ftf that you want to flash on Flashtool, wait for pop-up window that tells to connect your phone than connect your phone. If you have drivers installed and disabled drivers verification it should work.
Good Luck

Thank you for your time & for looking into my case, However i've managed to solve the issue, It was due to a fault Data Sync Cable I simply used the one for my S4 and it worked as normal.

[q] SONY XPERIA E SOFTBRICK (HELP)

So I rooted my Xperie E C1505 and installed Chainfire3d , thinking nothing bad was going to come out of it, and when I installed some package on Chainfire3d, ignoring the warning, my phone is now stuck in Bootloop!
Just now, I unrooted my phone using KINGO Android ROOT, but this hasn't brought me anywhere I have Flashtool and I downloaded a 4.11 Xperia E firmware and it is in the "firmware" folder. I attempted to flash my ROM and it was going fine until it asked me to connect device in Flashmode. I installed Flashmode and Fastboot drivers and I connected my phone, but only the green LED came up on the phone and nothing happened
I have no clue now so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open flashtool,select firmware.
Untick everything except wipe data.
Flash.[Will take some time]
A dialog box will pop up saying connect to flashmode.
Power off mobile.
Press the volume down button while connecting phone via usb.
Phone will get detected, and then a firmware shall be flashed.
[Have you installed adb drivers?]
I downloaded ADB-USB drivers but when I open it in WinRAR, it's a .inf file so I dont know what to do

Dude if you haven't unlocked your Sony Xperia Phone's bootloader you can repair your phone with Sony Update Service (SUS) software.
You just need to be in the working flashmode and else all work will be handled by that software.. from downloading the firmware of your phone to flashing it and then you will get your phone up to date working with the latest firmware.

Thank you for ur reply, yes bootloader was unlocked and I was trying to install the custom rom but after restarting my xperia L never started again. Black dead...no logo just red LED blinking and I tried key combination but nothing. To repair through sus and flash tool it should be recognized by the pc. Its being recognized as unknown device by pc and did try to install driver manually but no luck. In both sus and flash tool I found message no phone attached.
Plz guide me.

Thanx, Before this issue with my Xperia L I was using PC companion and I guess this already installed drivers but now neither PC companion/SUS nor flash is detecting my phone. I am using windows 8 currently but I also tried on windows 7 to install the drivers but no luck. My friend suggested that I need a boot loader as all the data in my Xperia L has been washed out due to bad flashing. In my country no boot loader device available for Sony Xperia 2013 models. Any alternate solutions?
Bootloader..?!! I think you don't have any kernel in your phone currently that's why it isn't recognizing your phone by the PC.. Try using SUS on Windows 7..make sure your driver's are installed properly.. Either through SUS or Flashtool..
If your phone is Not Recognized by Flashtool that means you don't have Required Drivers Installed. Use the Below method to Solve this Problem.
Open the folder /Flashtool/drivers & Install "ggsetup-2.2.0.11".
If Still after the Above Process Flashtool doesn't Recognize your Phone. Use this Method.
Open the /Flashtool/driver folder & Extract the "XXX_ADB_Driver.zip" anywhere on your PC/Mac/Linux. [ This Zip corresponds to your Phone Model. ]
Now Open "Device Manager" on your PC/Mac/Linux & find the device which is with an Exclamation mark on it. [ Make sure your phone is Connected to the PC ]
Right Click on that Device & Choose Update Driver.
Choose to find the Driver Manually.
Now Browse to the Folder where to have Extracted your Phone Model Zip File.
This will Install the Required Drivers on your Computer.
After that Open Flashtool Again & Try to Recognize your Device.
If Still you see any problem reply back for further assistance..
Hit Thanks if I helped you..

Hi pervenkal, try varunpilankar steps, I too faced this issue while flashing my Xperia L for the first time, 7 months ago. But it is most probably driver issue, during that time I tried lots of drivers even the one given with flashtool, but finally drivers from ADT bundle helped me.

The red blinking light sounds like your battery is low, I read about someone who had do e this not long ago. Couldn't boot tinto recovery because they had insufficient charge. Charge your phone on mains power for an hour, and then try flashtool again. But make sure you wipe everything.

First, Which phone you have, c1905 is Xperia M
Second, Flashing Xperia M ftf to Xperia L is a guaranteed brick ==
i don't think it can be fixed without a complate nand rewrite. just a assumption

Bootloop is normal after bootloader unlock, you need to flash the ftf rom there and then the FXP (kernel first) for example.

If gg gate drivers don't work try to go in fastboot mode and flash for example thunderzap kernel but before it put on your sd card a cm11 rom and flash it using recovery.

It is indeed a driver issue. If WiFi isn't working, you can flash stock ftf and then install whichever rom you were installing. Firstly, to get back to stock and relock your bootloader you need your TA. If you didn't backup your TA before unlocking your bootloader, You'll have to live with some functions of the stock rom lost. Restoring the TA locks your bootloader.
Okay so, if you have the stock ftf, head over to your flashtool folder, navigate to drivers and open Flashtool-drivers.exe.
For Xperia L, the drivers you need - "Flashmode Drivers", "Fastboot drivers", "Common drivers for Taoshan".
If install fails, you may need to disable driver signature check. Just google that, it's pretty simple.
If you don't see such a file, just get it from here - [Drivers] FlashTool Xperia Driver Pack (v1.5) [20140318]
Then connect your phone in FLASHmode. Not Fastboot. Fastboot has a blue LED and Flashmode has no LED (You'll see red and green flash before the no LED). Your device should be listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers as SEMC Flash Device or Generic Flash device. If it says S1 Service or something similar, right click and update Driver Software, "Browse my computer for driver software", and let me pick from a list. Uncheck Show compatible Hardware, scroll to Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and select SEMC Flash device. Reconnect your device to check if it detects it as SEMC or Generic Flash Device. If yes, try to install your ftf.
If you were already on this driver, try switching to the S1 Service. (Not sure where to find that but it never worked for me. Your mileage may vary. Give it a search).
Also, if you take it to a service center, they'll probably charge you some money and probably replace the whole board. Thus, Hakuna Matata. Keep calm, your phone is absolutely fine. Never tried Emma though. Flashtool ftw!

Getting FlashTool to recognize phone in flashmode

I'm not sure this is the right spot for this but...
I am having trouble getting FlashTool to recognize my phone once I get it into flashmode right before the process of flashing. I Goofed and accidentally wiped everything, including system in TWRP. I had downloaded replacement stock system from XperiFirm and got it ready with FlashTool. I installed the flashtool drivers as well as the modified google USB driver that Sony gives you when unlocking the boot loader. I get the phone is flashmode by plugging the phone in while holding down the volume down key, and I get the constant green notifacation LED. But FlashTool does not move past the point of telling me to enter flashmode.
Essentially what i'm trying to do at this point is just get stock software back on my XZP. From what I can tell this is the only way possible that I have found. I do have TWRP up and working. If someone could help me get this figured out, or point me to another way to get the stock Sony software back on my phone I would appreciate it.
Have you tried recovering it using xperia recovery tool?

FlashTool doesn't support XZP.
You need to use NewFlasher but the dev has been banned so uh.
Heres an older version that works perfectly. I don't trust the newest version .
Go into fw folder, drop the content of the rar into the fw folder and then run NewFlasher.exe while in flashmode.
Should be like this, C:\Users\yourusername\.flashTool\firmwares\yourdownloadedfirmware
