[Q][Help] Recovery flashed without uncheck the "Update recovery with system updates"
Hi all,
I'm in a trouble, i tried to flash TWRP without uncheck the "Update recovery with system updates" option (ik, silly error).. now i'm stuck in boot animation and no recovery .
Any help please?.. I'm guessing now only i can do something in fastboot ?
Thanks in advance

So you can't boot into the OS at all? Simply flashing a recovery shouldn't cause that, was there anything else you did?

i was following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guides-bacon-timmaaas-how-to-guides-t2839471, i unlocked the bootloader, then i was on the second step: ' How To Install A Custom Recovery On Your Device'. i did it (TWRP 2.7.1.1).. but i forgot to uncheck the option 'update recovery with system updates'. The only things i did.
Thanks for your help.

Have you tried flashing TWRP again?

Yes, i tried but didn't work.
Anyways guys, thanks for your help, i find solution.
First, i installed the custome recovery with the OPO toolbox v2 from here. Then i perform a factory reset and the rom start normally.. finally. I flashed again the recovery TWRP (2.7.1.0) and is working fine. I flashed superSu too .
Cheers.

NEED HELP!
Hey guys, same thing happened to me. Phone died, plugged it in for a bit and went to power back up. Stuck on boot screen. I'm able to boot into TWRP but it says 'no OS' installed. Downloaded the stock img from cyanogen and was able to successfully send via adb sidload the image zip but it won't flash.
The log shows 'E: Unable to mount '/system' whenever I attempt to do anything. HELP??

you can try to get in fastboot and install the whole system again.... or you can install the .zip via sideload in TWRP
go to a folder where you have adb and stuff copy the ROM .zip
can I just take it from the top and reinstall twrp? It seems like twrp can't mount the system?

[Q] Cyanogen Recovery although I have ClockworkMod installed

Hello all,
I rooted and unlocked bootloader of my One Plus. I installed ClockwordMod recovery (ROM Manager Screenshot).
However if I boot into recovery it shows a Cyanogen Recovery instead of the ClockworkMod. When I then put device into fastboot and install ClockwordMod again it does boot into that recovery. However if I reboot and boot again into recovery, Cyanogen Recovery appears again.
Why is that and how do I fix this?
edit: replaced image with link to image
Did you remember to uncheck the 'update cm recovery' option in Developer Options? Also, don't use ROM Manager to install a recovery, just fastboot flash it.

Just checked and that option is ticked. I did just reflash CM recovery via fastboot. Again it boots into CM recovery after flashing. When I reboot and boot into recovery, again I see Cyanogen Recovery
MASSIVE EDIT: DOOOOHH I just re-read it and it says UNCHECK the option! I will uncheck it now and try again

I confirm that UNCHECKing the option in Developer Options fixed the problem! Thanks for the quick answer!
No worries.

Stuck with Cyanogen Recovery
Hi have the same problem on a Galaxy Nexus 2012 (Maguro) flashed Cyanogen 12.1 and now cannot boot to CWM. Am able to use Cyanogen recovery however it just does not have the full features of CWM.
Tried the advice posted above, however this did not work for me.
Does anyone know a way to either disable Cyanogen recovery or force boot into CWM?
All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need to go and ask in the appropriate section for your device, this is the OnePlus One section, not the Galaxy Nexus section. Before you do though please make sure you search properly because the question has almost certainly been asked and answered already. The best place to start would be the ROM thread.

I have the same problem, in the cmd screen it says that I successfully have fastbooted twrp recovery to my opo, but when I reboot in recovery it shows the cyanogen one. I have android debugging enabled and cyanogen-recovery update disabled. I still cannot boot into TWRP. Before the update to cm 12.0 everything worked fine.

[Q] stuck in recovery, can't go to fastboot and system

I tried to press power + vol up, but still boot into recovery ( TWPR)
Anyone know this problem please help me.
Don't you have a backup that you can restore? If not, you really should, at all times have a backup on your phone for this exact reason. If you don't have one, just connect your phone to your PC and copy a ROM zip across to it.

[Q] TWRP flash says successful... but stock recovery is still there?

Hey Guys. Im running cm12s on my oneplus one, and i would like to switch to oxygenOS because they are getting the touchscreen firmware fixes. Ive flashed recoveries onto multiple phones without this issue before.
I downloaded twrp, booted the phone into fastboot, unlocked it, got the success signal, flashed it, again, success, and then rebooted. Then i powered down and booted to recovery aaaand..... stock recovery. WTF? So i wipe all user data and clear the cache with the stock recovery and try again. Nope. Its still the stock recovery. i dont understand it. I tried with CWM aswell. It says success, so why did it not work? I booted into the OS and checked developer settings, and disabled update recovery and all that, Nevertheless, when i flash TWRP or CWM, it does not work. I dont understand how this could happen.
I followed the steps from the Official guide on the official oneplus forum, It wont let me post a link.
I am using an OEM samsung cable.
Can anyone help me?

Alright, I've just tried that. After flashing it, i Ran this command and as expected it rebooted back to the bootloader. Nothing else todo there, so i rebooted and booted to the recovery. It STILL boots to the stock recovery! So i tried again, but this time, i flashed it a second time after rebooting to the bootloader, but that still has not worked. is my unit defective? I will try now with another computer.

I figured it out!
I figured it out. Instead of rebooting after flashing the custom recovery and allowing cyanogen to re write it, i simply turned the phone off and booted directly to recovery and sure enough, TWRP. Problem solved. I dont understand why cyanogen would do that to me and not anyone else!

CM didn't just do that to you, it's happened to every single person who's tried to flash TWRP after taking the Lollipop update, that's why the question is included in the FAQ thread.

TWRP keeps crashing

I have backed up and rooted my motorola g6 plus, using twrp and magisk. I want to install a custom rom, but when I go into recovery mode, it defaults to the moto system, and not Twrp, When I try to open Twrp it crashes and will not load, I i it and re installed but it 'helped. What can I do to fix it please?
hi, you need to boot up in twrp then install it using the twrp zip installer from twrp official page. i'm not a dev but there is something like boot partition inside the system partition that change recovery everytime you flash a custom rom
so:
fastboot boot twrp.img
inside twrp you should format data
flash disable dm-verity focerencrypt
flash hab disable
flash twrp installer zip
remember everytime you flash a custome rom twrp will be replace for the custom rom's recovery.
hope you can make it.

You don't need to flash the hab-disabler.zip, it's now included here

Use my guide here to install TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g6-plus/how-to/guide-how-to-fix-stuck-twrp-splash-t4138179
Skip »5. Disable HAB verification by flashing this .zip hab_disabler.zip« because it's already included in step 4. since a few weeks.
Pixel ROM
Flash the installer.zip of your Pixel ROM with TWRP. Then flash the TWRP installer.zip again to use your Pixel ROM with a TWRP recovery.
thanks again, for your help, I think the corrupt message is now gone, The verity mode is still there, will that always be there?
