The only one's i'm aware of that will not bootloop your phone are Evolutionmods and Faux's kernels.
Evolutiomods Checkm8 Sense kernel
Faux's kernel
All though if you flashed a GPE ROM you could use all of them such as ElementalX kernel, and take note that is only flashing a ROM not converting your phone, do NOT attempt converting your phone as it will change your partition sizes and cause a lot of problems.
@S1L3nTShaDoWz But thats only with GPE but what about PA Rom could this create samr issues also EX kernel works with PA? Thanks for ur help

I don't believe ElementalX or other international variant kernels will work on anything besides the international variants and the GPE edition/ROM's.
EliteLunar kernel for GPE.
HTC One M8 powered by SinLess Audiophile v3.5.5/Elite Lunar 3.4.0
Thanks guys, im not really interested on GPE roms im more fan of PA, i guess i only got chance for stock kernel

Loving this kernel. Very very stable. Games play better than stock kernel... Asphalt 8 has NO frame skips.

Hi everyone,I have a sensation xe.
I flash the Bricked's kernel, because the sweep2wake is very cool. But after i flash the kernels into AOKP, everything goes well expect the wifi.I also try RCMix's kernel, and faux's kernel, but same the result.
How could i use the phone without wifi!
I need to flash a kernel for AOKP with a feature like sweep2wake, and the wifi should be work. Can someone help me?
English is not very well, but i try my best to write these
I believe Faux has an AOSP kernel. The ones you tried are Sense based, which is the problem.

I know Faux put Sweep2Wake in his Sense versions. I am spoiled with it as well, you might shoot him a message or post in the thread and ask if a future release for AOSP will have Sweep2Wake.
suggestion, I'm on aokp since build 32...don't use custom kernels, is better with the stock one...more stable...I use it at 1ghz and is ****in' great! no lags at all, even gaming
there is no sweep2wake kernel for aosp at the moment, just wait

Or make it yourself based on the sources that do have it

Hi guys
I want some help
Can I flash roms for international version of Nexus S on my Korean variant of Nexus S m200 ?
like CM10
thanks
Obviously you can... I also own a Korean Nexus S (SHW-M200)...
I have flashed ROMs like
CM10, Hellybean, Slim, Jellyshot, Carbon and about 3-4 more... Had no problem at all in flashing etc... I have also tested different kernels and the best one being Marmite 8.5cm_bigmen
Try flashing Carbon ROM and latest gapps with marmite kernel... This is the best combo you can get for now Modded android 4.2.2 rocks

thank u so much mate
I like marmite 8.5, but I like Devil kernel more with carbon.. I am getting nearly identical battery life but Devil is more stable for me when over clocking.. it is the fastest, smoothest combo I've found..

I just switched back to TW from AOSP because of the issue with bluetooth. I had been using BMS kernel and loving it, but it seems as though there is no TW variant. Could someone recommend a good TW kernel. What are you using? What is the most widely used?
Thanks!

Morning all,
I had recently begun using the Chaos kernel, but with the latest version it looks like it is not going to support stock ROMs. So my question to this group is which custom kernel is good to use with a stock ROM, or should I just use the stock kernel period?
Thanks,
Steve

Chaos supports CM atm and all other kernels support stock (based) roms. Just read the OP`s and try some
Avoid anything that says "CAF"

9.1 supports stock. Some of the new releases haven't really improved anything per se since 9.1 so I would go to his download page and use that one, that is the one I use.
I wonder why they went the CM route? =/
Because neobuddy89 likes cm roms. Shame for me. 10b5 (or 6 whatever) was great

Its AOSP with CAF stuff in it. Just flash one and if it doesn't boot reflash the ROM and flash the other.
Thanks

Make a backup, flash. If it doesn't boot then it isn't compatible.

make a backup in recovery and just flash the darn kernel. if its not compatible, it wont boot. then you can either flash a known booting kernel or restore the backup you made in recovery. that's the quickest way to find your answer.

Haha this really is a good question though. I myself didn't know either. I had been under the impression it was full AOSP.
Last time I ran Franco kernel on it though all was fine.

Quite a few ROMs say AOSP but have CAF parts lol. Rarely are ROMs full CAF though, the only one that I know of is CM of course. Some AOSP kernels work with hybrids and some only do after modification.
An AOSP Dalvik will only boot up on full AOSP ROMs so it the Z2 Dalvik boots, it's full AOSP. If a CAF Dalvik boots, it's either hybrid or full. Nice way to tell

Ah thanks. I never really messed with the custom dalvik because I didn't see anything other benchmark gains.

Some people say general usage is slightly better, some say it doesn't help in general ui. Experience varies. Lol.

Franco Kernel on OPO?
Any update on whether Franco Kernel is compatible with this CM based Mahdi rom on the OnePlus One?
