Enable SWAP from kernel Source

T-mobile Prism II released the kernel source
https://github.com/Prism2/HUAWEI-U8686-Open-Source-U8686-JellyBean-kernel-3.4.0-
That is the link for the source kernel i found with a simple search.
This phone is so close to having a custom rom. Rooted, bootloader unlocked and CWM_recovery has already been made possible on this forum.
So my question is... Where would add the line CONFIG_SWAP=y in that open source kernel.
Is that all that needs to be done to this kernel to enable swap?
I'm sure it simple anyone know?

Click to collapse
Its a little more complex
Guide for Jellybean can be found HERE
Thanks a lot for that link.

How to add cm12 theme engine to a rom ?

How to add cm12 theme engine to a rom please someone help me how to port it to other rom as paranoid android lollipop version and many other roms have it so please help me by telling how please............ many other also want this feature to be implemented to other roms
someone please help
I am no themer, but if a ROM properly supports the CM theme engine, it should already work on their rom. Inly difference really should be some of the icons. If they made their icons default to the secondary color scheme in your theme, it should automatically be colored.
If you know how to cherry-pick features on github and how to build a rom, you can easily add it. Just take help from any dev and they would be more than happy to help you but nobody will have the time to teach you how to use github and build roms, cherry pick features.
You'd need to build from source and add the correct commits.

[Completed] Need help to add sweep2wake in kernel.

Hello dear fellow xda-developers.
In my quest of learning "compiling android kernel from source", here I am, stuck and feeling helpless to add sweep2wake feature to my kernel.
Since I am learning the things, I have started to work on a legacy device "HTC Pico (Explorer)"
Till now, I have learned to -
i. Compile my own kernel (of-course)
ii. Added some governors (lionheart, etc.)
iii. Added fastcharge
Is anyone here who can teach me to add sweep2wake and doubletap2wake feature in the kernel ?
Any type of help or link to reference can be quiet useful. Thank You !!!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The purpose of XDA assist is to point you in the right direction, not provide technical assistance. I see you are also asking about this in other threads so I'm going to close this one.
