How can I make my Status Bar transparent in my Custom ROM without using any application?
I am making an Custom ROM and for that I thought why not make the Status Bar transparent...
If you're referring to transparent notification drawer, it's simple.
Decompile your SysyemUI and go to res/drawable-hdpi or drawable-xhdpi and you'll find there notification_panel_bg.9.png Just edit it accordingly to get desired transparency. Remember its .9.png so edit accordingly.

On gemini_status_bar xml line2 declare your bg if you want transparent then put #000000 for fully transparent if u want to add background image then put your image in drawable folder then declare in line2 your image.

Hi to all
I am using Overcome 7 Series v4.0.0, Overcome Kernel v4.0.0 ( Updated from Overcome Kratos )
If I replace only systemUI.apk everything is working fine, ( clock in the middle, but not transparent notification ).
If I replace and the framework-res.apk file, ( in system/framework ) when I try to press and hold the power button to power down, reboot, etc, nothing happens no menu is appearing the tab freezes and reboots. Do you have the same problem?
Is there a solution? The framework-res apk gives alot of effects, plus the notification screen glass effect, very good... but I have the above problem.
Has anyone a solution for that?
If den339 want my framework-res.apk I can sent it
My version is XWJPA
Thanks in advance for the efford

Or edit it yourself. Get SystemUI.apk on your desktop and open it with something like 7zip. Then find the statusbar tile

I don't suppose you have an android theme applied?
If so you can reset it in the settings app.

EDIT: Found Android L Softkeys on the G2 forums that you can install as a normal APK and find under the button settings with the rest. Works fine on the G3!
