Hi All
I hope I'm asking this in the right subforum.
Basically I have got a new Note3. And I'm after two widgets, don't know if they exist haha:
1. Picture Frame Widget
Basically the standard picture frame widget would work, as it displays a constant slideshow of pictures which is what I want, the issue is that I use QuickPic gallery app, and the standard picture frame widget opens the standard gallery app (which is terrible lol) when you touch it. I want a widget that I can determine which gallery app is opened when the widget is touched, so I can set it to open QuickPic instead.
2. Process List Widget
Real simple widget that just displays a list of the currently running processes, ideally there would be sorted by RAM used, and ideally it would have a kill tasks buttons, but I would be happy with just a list to be honest.
Thanks
Does nothing like these exist?

What would you guys think of a GLASS PHOTO FRAME WIDGET. So basically a widget you can place on any of your screens, in different sizes, which displays a picture of your choosing but with a GLASS effect so its a bit transparent.
I think this would look SickK especially if you have a live wall paper running in the background. Right?
Is this even possible?
I think it would look good, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. A glass-like photo widget with multiple size options would be great, but 'killer app', not even close.
As a side note, what exactly do you mean by 'glass effect'? Just the frame being semi-transparent, or the whole widget?
Koxx is a master of widgets. He've made Pure Calendar Widget, Pure Music Widget, Pure Weather widget etc.
A transparent image. How groundbreaking -- or should I say SickK.

The whole widget.
Does anybody know an app that lets you place a text on your screen? I want to have each screen contain certain apps and I want to place label on top that says what category that screen is. I've found Text Widget which looks nice but it only lets me place one widget.
Zoom, by the same guys that do Tasker, will allow you to do text on a widget. They can be of different sizes and way pretty much anything you want. And, as an added benefit, you can have it do certain things (anything Tasker is capable of) whenever you tap on it. I have one, for example, that shows my battery level, day, date, and time. Tapping on different parts of it does different things.
If it is an android then use the multipicture live wallpaper and create a wallpaper for each screen.

but if he moves something on the screen, he will have to remake the wallpaper, put it on the phone and set it back...
I'm just wondering if anyone has similar problem as me. I got a weather widget that disappears. It's still taking up space but is invisible. How do I know this you say? Well when you hold your finger over an empty space, it pops up the app screen in which it allows you to place shutcuts and widgets or set wallpaper. But if you place your finger on a location with an icon or widget you are able to move it.
The invisible widget area won't do anything but a reboot usually makes it reappear. I've even force close the app of the widget and still does nothing.
The widget I'm having problem with is weatherbug widget. I don't like the how the stock widget is taking so much space. And I don't need duplicate information on my screen. I just want an accurate weather and some other weather information. I don't need the city and date and time...I have time on the bottom right corner already and calendar widget shows date already. Why does weather widgets want to show you unnecessary information? And a lot of them aren't accurate. But this weatherbug is OK app, I usually do not like weatherbug on PCs but the android app is not annoying.
I had that with CNN widget, it's only happened twice, but still a bit weird
They're called zombie widgets, and you can clean them up using an app called elixir.
same thing happened to me with the youtube widget, but only once so far.
Im looking for a photo frame widget that will allow me to make it 1x1, Allow me to have as many pics I want in it and to allow me to crop and resize the pic.
The only one I found to do this right is called MultiFrame but it dont allow a 1x1 and since im using go launcher, when I resize to 1x1 it cuts the pic up. But it allows me to do all the rest.
The next one I used was Photoslide but it dont let me crop and resize pic.
So basically Im looking for something that has all this in one app. Being able to pick a frame would be a bonus as well.
•selectable picture frames
•Crop image when selecting
•1x1 Widgets
•Multi Images
I second this. I had something simular on my stock rom (LG Optimus One) but it didn't work quite well.
Bumping to the TOP
Previously I've used the ADW launcher but have found every phone I've had become unmanageably slow over time. I've never been able to identify the problem but this time I'm trying to leave as many things stock as I can bear, starting with the launcher.
The default launches seems palatable enough but I can't workout how to resize widgets to fill the width of the screen.
Two of my favorite widgets to have on the home screen are "Fancy Widgets" (a clock/weather widget) and "Agenda Widget" (a calendar widget). Both these programs have several different sized widgets available but neither have widgets that are 5 cells wide. Is there a way to stretch the widget in the default launcher like one can in ADW?
Attached is an example of what my home screen currently looks like.
Thanks,
Slarti.
P.S.
I hope I'm asking this in the correct place.
(I wasn't able to find a Q&A section for G3 themes)
Uh, I've found that after releasing the agenda widget when dragging resize grippers become available on the corners.
This works perfectly to resize Agenda Widget to a 5x2 box.
Unfortunatly this doesn't work for Fancy Widgets.
It should be added as default feature

I think it only works for default apps in the phone.
Hmmmm
