[Req] audio.a2dp.default.so from the 4.4.2 ROM - Sony Xperia M2

Looking at the AOSP repository, 4.3 still has the default a2dp bitrate at 229, which is horrendous. 4.4.2 is supposed to have it set to 328, so I'd want to test if a newer file will work on 4.3 or not. The chance is slim, but so far nothing else worked, and I don't want to update to 4.4.2 and lose root.
So could someone who already updated please upload the 4.4.2 version of the audio.a2dp.default.so file? It's in /system/lib/hw/ and you don't need root to copy it (as far as I know).

Actually, never mind. I downloaded the firwmare and extracted the files myself using XperiFirm + Flashtool and as expected it doesn't work.

[Q] use wpa_supplicant 2.3 (Lollipop) in Kitkat, it's possibile?

In android kitkat there is wpa_supplicant 2.1 , in Lollipop wpa_supplicant 2.3.
It is possibile to use wpa_supplicant 2.3 in android kitkat?
If is necessary to rebuild android from aosp is not a problem, but i really don't know how to change the build system to include this library.
Probably the best solution is to find which file (library.so etc...) can be replaced on Kitkat to update the library, because if i replace only the executable file "wpa_supplicant" in /system/bin, wifi is broken. But, which is the correct files?
I know, i'm completely crazy XD

How to unpack OGD/OI6/OK3 system.img?

Hi,
I'm trying to install a STOCK ROM OGD/OI6 or OK3 in my N920P Note 5, but I don't want root and I want my original rom (to avoid kernel messages while booting), so, I'm trying to unpack system.img to delete some files like handsfree activation, sprint apps, voicemail and other.
I tried sgs2toext4, ext4unpacker and nothing, no working (ext4unpacker shows unknown file format), so, maybe someone can help me to unpack system.img files (I'm using Windows but I can try with Ubuntu or Linux if is possible).
Any guide? tutorial? software? to unpack system.img
Thank you so much

If you don't want root just take the Ota and you will update to the latest firmware.

I've the OTA and Sprint Unlocked Note 5, but to delete handsfree activation (every time I'm connected to WiFi it start to attemp activation), boot animation, sprint zone and other apps I need to be root or unpack the system.img
I've tested with other roms like LG G3 and it works, but Samsung (lollipop) is different, so I'm looking for something to do it
P.S. I'm asking about this because my phone is for international use

Stock build.prop file for Android N?

Hi there,
Does anyone have a stock build.prop file from Android N (or O) that they can upload for me? I'm trying to pass SafetyNet on a custom ROM and I believe I need one, and I can't seem to extract it from the stock ROM that I have downloaded. Thanks.

Guide me to flash Android Pie

Hi Guys,
Someone please guide me to flash Android Pie on my G8142. I have already downloaded G8142_Customized VN_1309-2181_47.2.A.0.306_R3C firmware via XperiFirm.
Note -
Locked BL
Currently on 47.1.A.16.20
Thanks in advanced.
Hi, frankly speaking, as your BL is blocked you should/can wait only some few days, it should come over the air very soon
Hi, I also have a locked bootloader, and its still locked after flashing the update using newflasher
all I did was download the VN firmware from xpericheck app that is integrated in flashtool application.
then I downloaded newflasher and it was a zip file, I extracted it, copied all files in it and pasted them in the same folder where the firmware files at, then ran newflasher, and thats it
I have Pie.
Did you delete any of the .TA files prior to flashing?
Hi @madshark2009,
can you provide me any guidelines to do it. I'm new to Sony.
@kw0n2k
No,all I did was simply flash using newflasher
@werty733
here is how i did it:
download xperifirm application:
https://softfamous.com/xperifirm-tool/
when you launch it, select Xperia XZ Premium (the dual one)
then you will get a bunch of fimrwares for different regions, simply select the VN region and it should show on the far right "latest update available" with a number of 47.2.A.0.306
download that to an empty folder of your choice
after download completed, download newflasher from here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/progress-newflasher-xperia-command-line-t3619426
download v13, you will get a ZIP file, copy all files in the file to the same folder where you downloaded the firmware files.
then simply run newflasher from that folder, press n for the first option, and another n for the second option, then it should start doing the magic, after its done, youre set. hope that helped
@madshark2009 thanks, will try your method and update.
@madshark2009 sorry I meant, the new firmware files that you downloaded with xpirifirm, the .TA files in that. correct me if im wrong, but i thought you had to delete them prior to flashing as it might over ride your DRM keys.
@kw0n2k
I dont think so, because i checked my keys stats and they are all ok, no one answered me that officially so i cant give you a concrete answer but i dont think flashing an update resets your drm, we all have been doing it before, i have done it before on oreo and nougat so yah, but get a more officially approved answer from a dev here better for you not to do anything that could harm your device on my word alone
Cheers mate
@madshark2009 Yeah, I converted my G8142 to G8141 cause I couldnt get VolTE in Australia. From what i read, i was under the assumption that .TA files had to be deleted on the new firmware prior to flashing as to not lose your DRM keys. But if you've done it and everything's fine, happy days! I'll just flash normally without deleting any files from now on.
the good @munjeni have exclu .ta in the script no problem for flash with any problem
@madshark2009, it worked perfectly without any issues. but I'm very disappointed there is no Gestures.

i9105p 4.1.2 Stock ROM? please share, thanks...

Hi guys,
am looking for i9105p stock 4.1.2 ROM, i have googled (e.g. xda, samdb.org, etc.) for long but those files I have downloaded are all corrupted or cannot be unpacked for flashing. up to now, I have got only a french 4.2.2 working but i need 4.1.2.
i understand our i9105p is aged, if you do have a copy, please share with me. i mostly use english interface so any country / region rom with english should be fine for me. thanks much in advanced.
:good:
BTW, those zip files i have downloaded are with .tar.md5. i simply rename .tar.md5 to .tar but it cannot be extracted by WinZip/WinRar/7-Zip. of course cannot be read by odin, any hint? Or they are all corrupted as said above?
later, i have got a 4.1.2 from a chinese website, it works but it is in fact a mod with full of garbage junk apps inside, fuxk!!! try NOT to get those from chinese websites!
