I just got LiquidSmooth's 4.4.4 OTA update, downloaded and installed it, only to get stuck at the splash screen. I battery pulled and tried to enter recovery only to learn that I don't have CWM anymore, only Odin Mode.
How do I get it so that I can load my last backup of CWM? Also my usb plug is broken, so I've had to resort to Qi charging, so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to load anything into Odin without a usb cable.

I have an Infuse 4g and I tried putting CyanogenMod on it...but I messed everything up. It won't turn on or go into Recovery mode. I can't use Ordin3 to unbrick it (if it is) because it won't turn on. The USB cable doesn't start charging it at all. I can give you guys any more info you need. I really need to fix this fast.
Bricked

I also have one of these.. maybe with all the members on here, we could build a wall.
You can unbrick it if you have fastboot on your pc.
First you have to be in bootloader mode, you can do that using volume down + power button (it may vary between android versions), then you plug in the usb cable and wait for the computer to install bootloader drivers. On win7 it's called android 1.0 when it's searching for drivers.
Then you flash boot and recovery images to the device using "fastboot flash (partition, specifically boot and recovery) (image location)".
After that you either restore a backup, or flash another rom through recovery.
But you shouldn't be able to boot current rom since it's incompatible.
So my phone was crashing every second "Android crashed....forced closed...." so I decided to put in the updated version of Sky Ice Cream Sandwich (I had a version from about a month ago) Now when I get into Odin Mode it just sticks on "Downloading... Do not turn of target!!"
................I have the .zip in the SD card
If you can only get into download mode you need to odin the stock tar, and start over go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342348 follow the directions exactly as written, and youll be fine
your describing 2 different actions here.
are you trying to flash a .zip via CWM?
or are you trying to use Odin ( from a PC ) to flash something?
ODIN isnt needed to flash a new rom....
just boot into RECOVERY, wipe data, and flash
Oh i see. Your not stuck your just not booting into cwm properly. Your booting into download mode. If your connectd to your pc. Unplug the usb cable. Power off. Power on while holding volume up, and down
that's what did it. unplugged from my computer. thanks.
Greetings,
When I was flashing via odin stock rom somehow it got stuck on setup connection and I had to close it. Since then the tablet wouldnt boot into recovery mode and wont boot at all. It goes to first samsung logo and gets blank. I tried flashing stock roms even with options repartition via odin in download mode but no luck.
Any insights people?

I have this same problem. Bump.
Hey guys, I only suggest the following, cause I had the same problem after flashing via odin.
In fact it happened to me more than once since I forgot the solution after a while ...
Make sure you unplug the USB cable from your tablet before trying to get into recovery mode.
That did it for me both times - once with my S4 and just recently with my Tab 2...
my phone is running cyanogenmod snapshot m9
yesterday i tried to flash the new twrp recovery with flashify.
an error must have occured because after restarting i am stuck.
the phone wont boot it just goes directly to odin mode.
at the top of the screen in red writing it says "Could not do normal boot"
my laptop wont recognize anything being pluged into the usb
when i plug the phone in with no battery the red light turns on for a few seconds then goes out
not sure what else to try
thanks for any help
Looks like me and you caught the same bug.
You make any progress? I too atempted to flash TWRP 2.8, I used terminal emulator. Caused hard brick however I used the sdcard bricked boot and I can now get it to boot to ODIN. But every attempt to flash to stock or flash a new boot-loader, fails
Hey, so I'm pretty new to all of this and trying to root my Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700T) running Android version 6.0.1 with the use of Odin, TWRP Recovery and SuperSU. I downloaded all the necessary files on my computer and am doing this with a fully charged phone. My phone has USB Debugging enabled and OEM unlocked. I try to flash the TWRP Recovery file through Odin to my phone while it's in download mode. According to Odin, it succeeded and my phone instantly restarts. It doesn't boot into TWRP or stock recovery; just restarts my device. If I power off and try to boot myself into recovery mode, it takes a few seconds, the screen will for maybe one second show an image of the green Android mascot with the caption 'No Command' and boot itself to my stock recovery instead of TWRP. According to Odin it was a success but I have no idea how to get TWRP recovery instead of my stock one. Any help on how to get there so I can root my device?

Open Odin and plug your phone in. Go to the settings tab and turn auto-reboot off. When you finish flashing the TWRP tar unplug your cable and pull the battery and boot into recovery.
