I noticed this last night also, was going to turn off thermal protection, as just to compare as I saw no need to earlier when I debloated and DECIQ but mine is like this too, I plan on looking into it abit also the APK is still in the APPS folder not sure if it needs some library that got removed for CIQ or one of the apps....

Happened to me when I tweaked the build.prop. not really sure what did it. Replaced the build.prop with a stock one and rebooted. Hidden menu returned

Thanks man i just went through the trouble shooting myself, basically i bloated my phone to see if that was it next step was the build.prop i'll see if i can find out what it is thats causing it.
EDIT:
So apparently the "HIDDEN MENU" apk looks to the buildprop for ATT as the ro.build.target.operator line of the build prop.
This also happens to be the line you need to change to OPEN to make the volume sliders and to remove ATT Carrier text and other various things to make it look like the INT version. I just used build prop editor to save to copies of it so I can revert back to them if i need the hidden menu etc..

This exact thing happened to me today when I was trying to remove the AT&T logo from the status bar by changing the build prop. As soon as I added AT&T as to ro.build.target_operator, saved the changes to the build prop and rebooted, the hidden menu is once working again. I do, however, now have to see the AT&T logo now. If it's not one thing, it's another!

Carrier text can be removed using g3 tweakbox,I think.

Removed or changed to anything you want. Cool!

Here's a thread with the original att build.prop, for some that may need it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2831654

Make sure your changing the correct value I was changing the RO.carrier at first and that is the wrong one..that value is UNKNOWN.
Look at the original thread or the build prop listed above (thanks)
Or here is a pic of the correct value to make it work again.

Did you use the stock phone dialer? My phone will only show the hidden menu using the stock phone dialer.

Yep, used the stock dialer. Have nothing else but the stock dialer.

After root, no visiual voicemail or app... help?

Rooted my Droid Charge last week, so glad I did!
However now, I have no visual voicemail at all. I tried to download some apps, but none worked well at all. Not really into Google voice, like having the voicemails on my phone for quick access.
Any suggestions on what to do? I'm paying $2.99/mo with Verizon for this

I'm guessing you're using Gummy 2.0 FE? You have to go into TSM Parts to get your clock back. They posted instructions in the OP where you downloaded the ROM from.

TSM Information:
Yes this modification needs no introduction to post fascinate user, but for those who are new to it there are a few things needed to know.
-When you first boot up your clock will be a default of black and appear to be missing. Do not worry this is the way it is. Just goto Settings > TSM Parts > Notification Settings and set your clock color by either 1 selecting a different color in the wheel then clicking it in the center, or just clicking white. Any changes to the clock color requires a reboot to make the changes.
-Hide clock or AM/PM to change you need to rotate your phone to landscape and it will change.
-Custom carrier text and hide alarm both require a reboot to go into effect.
-Choosing your answer type is located within the Misc Settings of TSMParts.

After an almost fresh install, the clock NOW WORKS!!! I guess there was something with either the ROM or files, or possibly the build. I must of changed the color a dozen times, selected/unselected and rebooted for a day straight. Installed ROM and went in, changed color, reset its there!
Still having a problem with voicemail tho
I thought I solved this, but nope. Here is where I'm at...
Took me a little digging around but I got it to work.
download files from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226001
It took me a few tries, but here is what I did.
Downloaded the apps and saved them to the SD card. Opened Root Explored and copied them to system/app
Changed permissions to Read and Write buttons for User, and only the Read boxes next to Group and Others.
Rebooted. VM service loads, but keeps crashing... ARGH!!!!

First Nexus, Build.prop DPI?

Is it possible to modify the DPI of the system via build prop on the Nexus 5 like I have done in the past with my Samsung phones? Stock icons are always much to large for me and stock apps font to large.

I would, but I'm too lazy to screenshot, connect to comp, and upload it. Sorry :silly:
If your device is rooted, it's a really simple procedure to test out your own dpi values. It's really just opening a buildprop editor, and popping in some new numbers.
If you're device isn't rooted, and you're on the fence about rooting, and dpi is influencing that, just root it. You won't regret it.
I've changed mine to 320 in the build.prop and it looks nice. A lot better than stock. The only bug I have noticed is when I am in an app and press the home button, it returns to the home screen and the keyboard pops up. Just to trouble shoot I returned to the stock DPI and it didn't do it anymore. But its a minor annoyance.

So I set it to 380 and I thought things were too small. Also my App list button was off center and couldn't be moved. What DPI settings would scale well with 480 ?
Thanks!
EDIT- I think 420 works great. It reduces the Icon sizes by just the right amount, but yields no extra screen space.
Interesting. At 320 you are essentially telling your phone that it's a 7" tablet.
If it was just fonts and not icons, there are system font settings you can turn down as well under Display or Accessibility. For icons, would otherwise need a custom launcher.

You can just tap home again and the keyboard goes down or the minimize button. And if you use a different launcher of course it is a non issue. I may go slightly larger then 340. It is perfect for in my hands but a little hard to read text while in my car dock

[Theme] Stargate Softkeys

Hi Everyone,
I made a few sets of Stargate Chevron softkeys for myself so I thought I would share. I am very indecisive when it comes to certain things so I ended up making 3 sets.
All 3 sets support images for home, back, recents, menu, multi-window, search, q-slide, q-memo, and notification shade up/down.
I was lazy when generating the preview images so they don't show all the available keys. Additionally, the changes between sets go beyond just the recents button even though that is the only difference shown in the preview images.
Enjoy!

I did update them to work as a Substratum theme so I believe they would be compatible. I'm currently running them on Nougat (although I don't think I enabled all variations...need to check).

Strange, my folder on Android File Host still exists but it looks like they stripped the files out: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=22481
I'll try to reupload them and update the OP when I'm back at my comp
Thanks @Artimis for the reupload. I'll add it to my list of tweaks to try out on other ROMs. I'm enjoying Resurrection Remix right now, and it has substratom built in. I was able to figure it out on my own, but I really appreciate your efforts, and thank you for giving me the idea in the first place
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
Awesome, I'm glad you got it working (I like your wallpaper).
I've updated the links in the OP with the original files that worked on the G3 running KK.
I'll need to tweak/post the substratum version (if others are still interested) before posting it. I made some specific changes to work on my particular device (LG V20) that may not play nicely with other devices. Once I hash out that issue, I'll post the apk.

Just gave it a spin, nice app! Though I don't mind the way the status bar looks with the EMUI skin.
Interesting, it seems Huawei's skinned status bar can be disabled after all. When I uninstalled the module and saw that the status bar didn't revert to default automatically, I restarted System UI and got the stock Android status bar design. So I wonder where in the system this part of the EMUI skin can be turned off. The same should also be possible with the navigation bar and other things.
Hm, any developers around here that would like to give a shot at making EMUI 3.0 look and feel more like stock Android, both in terms of looks and functionality?

Did you activate the module in Xposed (check the box in "Modules") and reboot after you installed it? The module doesn't do anything per se to the Huawei notification bar, but instead completely re-skins it.

It's amazing how such a small thing can annoy so much. They got so much right with this phone, I want to say it's the best phone I've ever had. But then I turn it on to check a text message and that stupid logo is there. I can't be the only one who's frustrated with it. Oh well...
Can't seem to remove my gf 3 logo from her gs7 edge. This app didn't work for us. She doesn't want me to root it, as its still in contract, i have read on another thread that you just delete the bootanimation.zip in media file. But i can't find it? Any help with this (without roooting) would be welcome.

Its ok, i now know how to get rid of the carrier logo without rooting. For anyone else wondering with a Samsung phone, Just flash the latest stock non carrier. firmware with odin, Once flashed, boot firmware then boot recovery (home, vol up and power) and do a factory reset, which will debrand completely.
This is what i have read in another thread. If there is a different/better/updated way of doing this, then please let us know.
Tnk.
