Hi,
I recently unlocked my bootloader and installed a custom recovery TWRP.
I am now looking to return my device to 100% stock, but I am currently experiencing a couple of issues flashing the factory image
I get the following message: "Device not unlocked cannot flash or erase"
I have also tried flash oem unlock and it just reboots the boot and returns to custom recovery
Any Idea's guys?
It would appear that your bootloader somehow got locked again. I'm on mobile right now but go into the Android development forum and find the mod tampering bit and flash that in your custom recovery and then proceed to unlock the bootloader. After that, proceed with your fastboot back to stock commands.

Hi Guys,
I have my HTC with unlocked bootloader and rooted. I unrooted the stock rom by using the facility in supersu. This successfully unrooted it. also i flashed recovery.img. Now the issue is, my phone isnt being detected with adb and hence i can no longer root it. Also it bootloops in recovery which i cannot go into to install the backed-up rooted stock rom.
Any idea how to go about this?
If you want to return to stock unrooted just lock the bootloader via fastboot and install the ruu for your device.
boot into bootloader, run "fastboot oem lock", then run the ruu afterwards

+1. The RUU program is a .exe file (windows only, I believe) that is specific for your device and should be easy to find. Make sure your drivers are fully up to date before running it. Running it and following the steps after re-locking the bootloader with the above step should return your phone to 100% stock, unrooted, bootloader locked.
Custon Rom after Oxygen has loaded
All,
I have a OnePlusOne and I love the phone. I have had custom roms on the phone in the past and now running Oxygen and not a big fan of it. .I have now tried to Root and unlock boot loader . and it doesn't appear to be working
I have followed the directions from here:
forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-oneplus-one-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/[/url]
when I unlock the boot loader I don't think it is unlocking. I think this because it does not wipe the device
if I go thru the rest of the steps it does load the TRWP and it is rooted
I am just trying to load the Cyanogen rom or something that is clean and smooth
AM I missing something?
I can boot into TRWP
and root checker sais that I am rooted
thanks in advance
E
If you've had custom ROMs on the device in the past then the bootloader must have been unlocked at some point already. Did you relock it? Check the status with this fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
Ok so, this isn't my first time flashing and returning to stock with phones, just the worst. Any help is appreciated.
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and tried to flash a few ROMS which were not working great so I went to go back to stock and then the **** show happened. Its the LO4 Model. I flashed stock recovery, Relocked the bootloader and tried the Force Flash Update method. Well now the phone is stuck in a boot loop(Cant power it down), cant boot to erecovery/ recovery -- I can get to fast boot mode but the FRP is locked so I can not do anything all commands fail with an error.
Any thoughts? I just need to get it back to stock OR a working ROM- I plan on selling this phone and My wife (it was her phone) has upgraded to a Galaxy S9. If I cant get it to work, I will post it on swappa as is for a cheap price
Thanks!
Same Issue
I did the same thing, however when in fastboot type fastboot oem unlock (put the code here) and this will unlock your bootloader. I did this I even managed to flash the stock system cust recovery and boot, but it doesnt boot into recovory, erecover, or even download mode to download the software from the sd card. Any ideas?
I tried that fastboot code and I get an error because of the FRP lock
Bricked Pixel 2 - locked bootloader & no access to developer options - please help
Hello guys, I just bought myself a Pixel 2 device today and decided to have a go at some changes: I've unlocked my bootloader of my Pixel 2 to perform TWRP flashing & Magisk installation and afterwards I decided to revert to stock.
The first step that I did when trying to revert to stock was to relock the bootloader via adb because I thought (big mistake) this will also revert everything to the factory image. Problem is right now the device isn't booting anymore (so I cannot change anything in developer settings and the bootloader is locked).
Fastboot does work now (I get an "FA8271A02780 fastboot" message when typing fastboot devices) but I cannot flash anything (it always says FAILED: remote Flashing unlock is not allowed.
I tried the Deuces script and UAF but they don't work (because my bootloader is locked). Given that I cannot unlock it, is there any way of flashing the stock image on my device? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Sadly I don't believe so. Google doesn't allow us to flash anything without bootloader being unlocked. Other OEMs either have a program or allow you flash signed roms with a locked bootloader. For the trouble iTunes is at least you flash firmware through in the event of a Brick
This is the case, I have a problem with the Flash ROM, now the phone can go into fastboot, but there is no Recovery, and the phone's bootloader is locked.
You're going to have to give a bit more detail if you want help from this community.
For example:
What phone variant do you have?
What did you have on your phone when it was running properly? i.e stock android, locked bootloader, rooted etc.
What 'Flash ROM" do you mean a factory image or custom ROM?
What had been trying to do to your phone i.e upgrade from Android 9 to 10 by sideloading an image?
Had you previously unlocked the bootloader?
I'm not saying that I will ultimately be able to resolve your issues but the more info you give the more likely someone here will.
Now,my pixel 3 can not work, the bootload is locked.when I select recovery by fastboot,The phone noticed me can not find vaild operating system, the device will not start.
I used to unlock the bootloader, it is because I locked the bootloader that this situation has occurred.
Can you unlock the bootloader again in fastboot?
