My problem is, other carriers don't get any texts but can get phone calls from me and I can, get there texts from them and they dont get my replies. Anyone on sprint gets them. A few of my friends have AT&T and they been getting on my s#&t why I never text them back.
I show them that I have msgd them back.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Phone is stock not rooted and my girlfriend is still on an S3 and she don't have this problem.
My dad is on AT&T and has no problem receiving sms/mms. I got a friend on Verizon and another 2 on Straight Talk. No one has issues receiving my texts or mms.

Sprint is sending me a new phone. I couldn't figure it out and they couldn't either
Welp got the new phone and the same problem. Sprint can't fix so they have me a 72 hour window for some one from tech support to call me.
Has no one had this issue ever?
Turns out I was blocked by AT&t and T-Mobile. Don't ask how but it's fixed now

I bought a droid x and sent it to a company to be flashed to work with the verizon straight talk service. Apparently everything was working fine before he shipped it back to me. I just got it two days ago and I can't make/receive calls or text messages. I can get on the web.
I called him up and he said straight talk is having issues. I called straight talk and tried to get it working. They told me a bunch of codes to put into the phone. I pretended to do so. They told me to restart the phone and call *228 to program. I did so but to no avail. Finally they told me that I am out of my area and they don't provide roaming service. Did something change with that? I read on there website you can use it anywhere in the states...
I sent them a email with my info and they said they would have there network analyst review my issues.
Has anybody else had the same issues?
What can I do to get this work? I have been out of a phone for over a month now. I can really use some help. Please...
I'm going to sell my phone and I restored it to the stock Nandroid LG-P999-V21y that I found on these forums.
The problem I'm having it seems is when I send a text message to someone on Verizon they get it but I never get there text. I've received text's back from people on Sprint and T-mobile.
What could be causing this?

This is probably an issue with your carrier and not the phone. Maybe you should call your company and see whats up. Stuff like this usually sorts itself out overnight though.
I've already confirmed its not an issue with the carrier.
Another thing, I cant get the device to unroot itself with superoneclick it freezes after awhile.
Long story short, my VM Victory was soft-bricked and came back to life after (mostly accidentally) flashing a Sprint rom on to it. It has worked splendidly for a month and a half.
The VM phone thinks it is on the Sprint network. All my data and phone usage is tracked minute-for-minute on my VM account, so I know that the phone just thinks it's on Sprint, but the phone is clearly on VM.
The only issue I have with this (since it works in all other matters) is that I can't get MMS. My BF, also on VM, wasn't getting MMS either, so I figured it was a VM problem.
He was able to get his MMS fixed by realigning MSID/MDN by using the ##VIRGIN# command in the phone dialer.
When I try ##VIRGIN# it says the command is invalid, and I'm guessing it's because my phone thinks it's Sprint, and Sprint doesn't know that command.
So my question is, what part of the flash makes it think it's Sprint, and is there anything I can do, or should I just get used to Sprint and no MMS?
Note: I have been unsuccessful flashing the one and only VM Victory Rom on the phone, so that doesn't seem to be an option.
I am having a similar problem. I tried to update my Virgin Mobile Galaxy S2 from ICS to Jelly Bean via Kies, and now my device thinks it is a Sprint phone. Can't receive MMS and my receiving/sending of texts and calls is spotty. I chatted with someone from Samsung and they were unable to help me, said to take the phone in to Best Buy and have a Samsung representative look at it. I'll be doing that today.
Have you made any progress with it?
Well, I went in to Best Buy and talked with the Samsung rep and he attempted to fix my phone to no avail. He did make it so that it would run correctly so I could receive texts and calls. But it seems the software is permanent. I went ahead and signed up for Sprint's free student plan and got the S4 Mini since I needed a new phone anyway and am going to attempt to sell my Galaxy 2. But yeah. Best of luck to you.
I am unfortunately a Sprint customer. I had an ordeal just getting the sim card, to simply activate a few weeks ago... but that's for another area of the forum.
I am wondering that perhaps i am getting this issue due to not having a Sprint provided N5 and since i used Google Voice for my messages, I never bothered to setup Sprint voicemail.. nor do I have an app on the phone for Sprint voicemail.
I get 2 messages.. and each time looks like this:
//ANDROID:[email protected] has sent you a Sprint Voice Message. Call 408-970-0000 toMMSN,c9c98480707,400,V68a+Im3diX//CM
It comes in every 3-4 days... and just doesn't want to stop. I don't even know how to check Sprint VM to get this cleared...
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions to get these texts to stop?
Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with this phone I bought couple weeks ago. I am using it on Metro by TMobile. Only problem is that I cannot receive text messages from ATT, Verizon, etc not on the same network as me. I can receive texts from TMobile and MetroPCS numbers without a problem.
I can send texts without any problem and everybody receives my texts. Not receiving texts is becoming problem because all these apps send me Temporary Pin to log into my bank accounts. Those type of messages don't come through either. I cannot activate my Uber account, etc.
I have talked with MetroPCS customer service and as usual they do not know anything. They haven't even heard about OnePlus. When I tell them I have OnePlus, they all go is that Samsung, Motorola? You get the idea.
One more thing to mention, I was receiving texts fine until Last Sunday, which is 5 days ago. Problem started on Monday March 30/2020.
Is there anyone having or had the same problem? How did you fix it? Or any ideas? I will take any suggestions.
So far, I did factory reset = no-go. Installed custom rom=no-go. Installed both Stable and Beta latest=no-go.
I have seen online people with Verizon were having the same problem, and they called their customer service to tag their phones as CDMA-less device. Then, texts started working fine.
I know GM1910 is a Chinese version, but out of all things, text messages don't work? I get LTE, send or receive calls, and send texts just fine. One interesting thing happened. When customer service guy reset my line, I got all the messages that were hanging there come to me at once. Then after that, no new messages.
This is my last resort. Fellow XDA-ers. Help me please!
I am in Los Angeles, CA.
PS: does it have anything to do with TMobile and Sprint merging, *ucking *hit up for Metro?
We have one gm1917 on metro and one on Verizon. No problem with text messages. Are you running the international rom? Stock Android messages? Did you try enabling rcs to see if that helps?
