vouchAR App - Feedback please!

Hi everyone!
I would like to request some feedback and possibly some help with the free Android voucher app that we built, vouchAR.
As an overview....the main function is to find discount vouchers that are local to the user....so they can save money in restaurants and shops.
The method of presenting this information however is via an Augmented Reality camera view, with floating tags showing the locations of the discounts.
I would add a screen-shot but I don't have the forum privileges required yet as I am a junior member still!
At present the app has had around 10,000 downloads (since August) and conceptually we think its a great use of AR...however I know if needs a lot of cosmetic work and some usability tweaks (sharing etc). If any of you have time to trial it and comment I would be very thankful. Any feedback, pos or neg would be graciously received!
The app is available for download for UK Android users only at present, something I would also like to change once US partners are found.
Also, if you think you have the dev experience to add something to this app and might like to work with us on this then please PM me...

- what does your app do
- what are the advantages
- screenshots
- QR Code
I guess a lot of people will see this and don't bother to go to the market, search for your App and download it, just to find out what its for.

Thank you for the advice Becksman, I have updated the original post with more details however I am unable to post a screenshot yet as I have limited forum rights. Screenshots can easily be found by searching goolge images for "vouchar"

[Q] Annoying Tapjoy video and picture ads

Hello all, firstly im new here,but its been awhile since i use android as my smartphone OS, my first android device was galaxy ACE, and now im using galaxy SII, but there is some problem with this phone, IDK wether the app or the phone itself, everynight i switched off my phone for charging (i have an outlet timer) , and when i switch my sgs II back on suddenly there is a TAPJOY video and picture ads in my Gallery, it's totally annoying, so i tracked down the soure its in "tapjoy/cache/video" om my sgs 2 internal memory . . ive tryed to factory reset my sgs 2 but the similar problem still occurs, is there anyone here experienced the same problem, would you mind if i ask the solution of my problem here ??
Ps : i am asian and for now i live in German , soo . . sorry for my rubbish english

The files you are seeing are video advertisements provided by Tapjoy. They are cached to your device when you use an app that has Tapjoy integrated into it so that if you choose to view the ads they’ll play automatically rather then making you wait for them to load.

[Q] How to monetize free desktop applications

Hi.
Does anyone knows which are the advertising companies that provide ads for Windows / Linux applications ?
I'm sure that there must be many because there are freeware programs that show ads. Others offer 3rd party software to be installed, so they must be making some money to do it.
I googled for it but I failed to find an answer.

To be honest It is almost not worth the trouble. Most people only see the ads while installing and you have to give them the option to not install any add ons. Mix in that most virus detectors will prevent any program that installs anything else as this is considered a virus.

There is one named DesktopAd
Since your Windows app is free, I guess you have many users on it. Then you can add in-app advertising to get revenue. There are many advertising platforms which provide this kind of service. You can find the most suitable one. For Windows desktop apps, I recommend DesktopAd's ads. You just need to add their ad SDK and don't need to do many thing, you will get paid through ad clicks every month.

Desktopad.com is a good choice.
Free desktop apps are more popular. So you get relatively advantages which help you get more income by in-app ads. As you know, almost all the apps have ads in it, you can select one ad payment method. As I know, CPC is good one. Many app users will click the ads unintentionally or he has interest in the ads. But it will have a result, you can get income by every ad click. So I would like to suggest you try to search desktopad.com.

"Free movies"? If it's free one doesn't require any "tricks" to download them.
Unless you are referring to downloading copyrighted videos that requires to be purchase in any form of monetary for free/without paying.
I believe many users here knows a "trick" or two
But for the benefit of doubt, lets say the videos are free and u are referring to different means of downloading them.
I use uc browser, love their downloader.

As #Fear mentioned, there really aren't any tricks to downloading legitimately free content. The tricks are required to get copyrighted content, and unfortunately that really can't be discussed because it might look like xda was promoting copyright infringement. So sorry, thread closed.

Hello i am the developer of The TimeWithMoney application that is avalaible on the android app store this app has just been released to the public and i have put alot of time and effort into making this great application. This app is for people who want to keep track of how much money they make or just how many hours they work(Will soon have automatic tracking). What i am asking for this community to do is get my app out there go check it out and in return i will make A application for the XDADeveloper fourms.
