Best rom for xperia j - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hey guys im a newbie here, Im sorry to bother you all but any sudgestion if what is the reliable and stable custom ROM for xperia j?? thanks in advance for the answers

Welcome!
If you wanna try out some roms, play around, you should check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/general/xperia-jst26i-roms-kernels-mods-how-tos-t2237164
I tried almost all of these roms, but honestly, I always got back to the stock roms.
CM10 from freexperiaproject is stable, works pretty well, I got it on my J for a month now, and I really like it!
You should try it! Cheers!

You will need this: cm-10-20131224-FXP-jlo.zip

In my opinion stock JB is the best so far.
If you only remove bloatware from system and install custom kernel it will work very well

Best ROM threads are not allowed on XDA
Please head over to the development sections and try them out for yourself

SE gingerbread

Does the coming Q2/Q3's SE gingerbread for xperia x10 worth waiting for it? or just rooting it and use custom rom better?

Wrong section, this belongs to Q&A, but frankly there are a few threads in General regarding to the upcoming update.
As with everything else in life, we will only know if it were worth waiting for it,
once we actually get it. So, no one can answer your questions
in an absolute way.
What I can tell you, is that IF we don't lose the ability to root the phone (thus xRec and custom ROMs) the gingerbread kernel will probably solve many incompatibility issues that custom ROMs are currently facing.
Again, it's all just speculations, you -like everyone else- just have to wait and see.

How on earth should any of us know? I do wish people would stop posting stoopid questions over and over again.

Use custom roms for the time being, and just flash back to stock when the update rolls out.
Holy crap, where are the bans?

How what? All you need is to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery and then you could flash whatever ROM you want.

No there isn't a pure google based rom yet for the oneS . Your best option for now is the cyanogenmod 10 rom, which look very close to stock google.

To sum up what was mentioned...
No, there is not currently a pure, stock, AOSP rom for the 1S. Cyanogenmod 10 is the closest you can get, as it looks and operates the most like stock, however has many additional features (both visual and performance wise). Here is the link to download CM10 for our device http://get.cm/?device=ville .
Note: CM is releasing "nightlies" which means pretty much everyday an updated rom is released to fix or add features. As of right now, the rom works great, however there are some issues with the camera (video camera does not work properly, although there is a fix).
If you have not flashed a rom to your 1S yet, you will have to do quite a bit of research to get it done. This requires unlocking your bootloader through the HTCdev website, and downloading and installing several files before you can install a new rom. This guide can help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427 .
Hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
BTW, yes Q&A would have been the correct section, but don't sweat it. Brandonrz is apparently disturbed in some manner.

It doesn't seem very stable. Not something I want to risk n my daily driver or am I paranoid?
No, this rom is in development that's wahy it seems not really stable.
The best you can do it's to go to both of Z1 Android Development and Z1 Original Android Development, read and choose one of these roms.
I cannot tell you if this rom is best than the other, because you must read, and read before to select and try a rom
Don't forget you need to read with attention my second link which is really important for rooting your device etc... and don't ne afraid, it's easy :good:

Also, what's the difference between the rooting and cyanogenmod. I have seen rooting before but never really seemed good, I've seen cyanogenmod before but now I'm confused between the two
You need to be root if you want to flash a custom rom like cyanogen rom.
If you, want to know more about cyanogen go here => http://www.cyanogenmod.org

Xperia L Downgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2

Hey, guys! Hope you're having a nice day! I'll cut to the chase now...
Now, I wanna downgrade my Xperia L from android version 4.2.2 to version 4.1.2. I know there already are quite a few threads on this topic but, I am completely new to all of this. I've tried following those and many other threads but have not been able to accomplish anything so far. Ha! I don't even what some of the terms mean.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Pranav

Good nougat roms for 36603 Xperia Z5?

First off, as always on any forum I'm ever on, I have no idea what section this thread should be in... So if it shouldn't be in general, please let me know. Now to business! I have my Xperia Z5 rooted, running 32.3.A.0.376, with sceryavuz's patch. Anyway I wanted to flash a new rom, so I wanted some suggestions. The three most important aspects of a rom to me are it's camera, it's customization, so substratum support would be nice, and battery life. I was looking at a lot of roms, but I really don't know which to pick... Anyone know of a good stable rom, that would somewhat fit what I'm looking for? Or any cool roms in progress that may be released soon? Also any comments on what roms you guys are using, and why you choose that rom would be nice. Thanks. -Spynathan
There is no stable nougat for our Xperia z5 as of now.. Stock nougat is only stable.. No official lineage.. Carbon rom has also some bugs

Yeah I figured, Nougat's still fresh to the Z5 so I reckon it's a bit of a waiting game for awhile.. Well thanks for the reply, I'll probably keep an eye around for when a stable rom comes out.

Please do tell me how it goes! Also what model do you have? I have an e6603, seems to be hard to find roms for it.
No fingerprint scanners and the network speed under settings does nothing. That's the bug I noticed. Now will b back to stock for sake of camera

This - a question - belongs in Q&A section (question & answer).
You can find a description of each forum section at the corresponding section, so if u read it first next time u know how to find right section.
For now, you can open your post in a browser and hit the "!" triangle underneath your post to request a thread movement. (I could do it too but I'm explaining to you so u can yourself)
Let me know if you have troubles moving your thread
