My music isn't playing when I plug my headphones in. It plays whenever I play the music out loud, but it doesn't when I plug them in. If I twist the headphone jack it kinda plays like two seconds of the song then screeches. Any ideas??

Also it acknowledges the headphones being plugged in, but the music don't play.

There are a few teardown posts in the forum if you want to do it yourself.

replacing the headphone jack is super simple. I did it 8-9 months ago, the jack was like $8 and got a tool or two over at ifixit.com
they also have a detailed replacement of the jack on an XT912 that is similar....except the 926 doesnt have any glue BS to deal with so nothing to do with that...

Try holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously for about 30 seconds and see if that turns the phone back on.

I assume that you disassembled the phone for replacing the jack. It seems to me that ribbon cables to the buttons were either dislocated and haven't been put back or damaged. You should check the connections to the buttons.

I'll be scrolling website and it will select instead of scroll or be brousing through photos and instead of going to the next pic the current one will zoom. When I'm typing a email or text it puts the wrong lettoer up or don't space. The screen just does crazy things.
It only does it when its charging because when I unplug it the crazyness stops
Same here. My phone has a mind of its own when charging. Off the charge and its fine..

Hello everyone.
I've Switched to skyrocket 1 month ago, it is great phone - but audio quality sucks comparing to my previouse Motorola mb611.
Call quality is acceptable, but still not so good. But music is awful, flat sound and background noise.
I'm Now on official Rogers 4.1 rom - is there any fixes for audio exist ?
Thank you all at advance.

It's a good tweak but you can do only so much with the phones external speakers. They do suck.
It can vastly improve headphone quality. IMHOP.

ya i was disappointed the with the speaker on the back of the phone. Had to use a friends iPhone when making a call on speakerphone because we couldn't understand a god damn thing coming from the from my skyrocket speaker.
Call audio quality is weak in general; I'll try the KingBeatz and see if that helps, thanks.
I had read somewhere that the idea was being kicked around to take one of the skyrocket ROMs and branch it off into several specialized ROMs, one of them being audio. Does anyone know if this is still in the works?

Hi guys, I've had the phone for a while but never thought to try it with a hands free kit. So I tried to make a call with my beats solo headphones with the control talk cable. Mic was not responding but I could hear the person on the other side. The phones internal mic was also disabled. I then tried it with a HTC headset, same outcome. Not sure whether the Nexus is just not compatible with a wired hands free kit or its just my device.
Any advice?

Have you tried using the cable on another device or a friends device to test the mic? Did you seat the jack all the way down? There's no definitive click but the jack should be able to go all the way down. I have used the mic with a few wired headsets, Sol Republic Amps HD and my V-Moda M100's. I have used the mic on both without an issue.
Works with both of mine to

I've tried the headsets on a HTC One S and a One X and they seemed to work fine on them!
I also tried them on my father's Nexus too but didn't seem to work with his phone either.

I just looked at your head phones online. Honestly I think it is where the connections are placed on the head phone jack.
All my wired head sets have three lines on the jack. The beats solo shows only two in the pictures.
This is the only logical thing I can come up with

Undoubtedly the speaker volume on the 4.4.2 is much higher. I would say it is perfect atm. The only problem I can see at the moment is the hissing sound on the silence parts of a recorded video/sound....
I'd recommend against buying this phone if you want good speakers bro. For obvious reasons lol
