Are there any other custom recoveries for the Xperia Tipo except for ClockworkMod And TWRP ?

Just to answer your question there are only those two recoverys (Well never heard of any other ones if so someone can correct me if I am wrong). And why would you need another recovery anyway xD

I think you can use flash tool I guess(but that's just for Xperia, I heard.)
Anyway, it's not recommended to install custom roms from the PC cause of possible errors in transferring the ROM into the phone.
For example, if the PC experienced a power interruption or any other unlucky event, your phone may become bricked and be stuck
in bootloop FOREVER.

It might certainly be possible...you are talking about your huawei G510-0010 right...Just a quick question...why do you want to do it only through pc? Using cwm is always better as it can help you restore your phone if something goes wrong..

[Q] CWM vs TWRP

I have a TF300T coming in the mail Wed and I'm going to start playing with it here soon, I've been flashing my SPH-L710 for over a year now using CWM and I am very familiar with it but I keep hearing in the forums not to use it, but can't find a reason. I do have about 20 plus hours of reading in the TF300T thread, most people are saying to use TWRP. Just wondering why? I will most likely be running PACman just because I love that ROM.

I'm on Pac-man welcome
Personally TWRP is easier to use and you save your volume buttons from being over pressed. I think there was some bug about CWM not being able to flash some ROMs, but I've never run into any problems with TWRP ( that weren't caused by my own stupidity ).
Tip:
Before flashing, make sure your bootloader is compatible with everything you are flashing. Also make NvFlash Backups ASAP.
Ty cmendonc2, that's what I thought about CWM not being able to flash some ROMS. I was reading through the NVflash thread last night and it looks to be very intimidating at first as well as the bootloader. I'm sure it's not that bad, I just need to get the tablet here so I can start playing with it. Sound to me that the bootloader is main central nerve of the tablet. EVERTHING revolves around it.

I'm using cwm 6.0.1.3...I keep getting errors flashing so far anything I've tried since I was on clean ROM which flashed perfectly fine...I'd switch to twrp but my screen was cracked and the replacement screen has no touch response is there a non touch recovery other then cwm that I can use?

I've used cwm for a long time until now
I find twrp so much better. I especially like the touch features.

CWM has problems on this device since JB. It can cause bricks so stay with TWRP which is better anyway.
I'd love to switch to twrp it seems like it would fix my problem ..but I was saying I need a non touch recovery cause the touch has not been working on my tablet since the screen broke are there any other recoveries that will work using the hardware keys?

To be safe, do the NvFlash backups and use the modified CWM recovery that you have to install with that.

Request to developers: Port CWM for our device

As you might know, this device doesn't have CWM, only a bad stock recovery which is pretty much unusable and very limited, so my request to the developers is to port CWM for our device or TWRP. There is CWM out for other devices with this chipset, so it will be possible to create CWM for us also I think.
have you tried the CWM by superdragonpt? found here:

Like I said earlier, the chance of that this device has a unlocked bootloader is high as I have even managed to flash a corrupt recovery.
Just a thought. Has any one tried any type of bootstrap and/or boot hijack method of recovery? Something like safestrap, etc? I don't have the device, I was just doing some research for a friend that purchased one of these yesterday.

Are you in the stock recovery or a custom recovery like TWRP, ClockWorkMod, or Philz? Do you see an option that says "Install Zip" or something similar?

Hmm... Do you have the correct ROM, one specifically for our device? What's the fail error? Oh and bro, my battery is close to dying, just so you know.

silly me I just notice the one I put on my sd card is for the 7 inch not the 10 inch lol maybe that's why?
Let me guess at the error, is it Status 7? After reading the link you provided you installed an old version of Philz that won't allow you to flash cm11 (which I'm assuming us what you're trying to flash). If this is the case you need to update that bad boy. Look for Android-Andi and in his signature are up to date recoveries. Philz is great but I recommend the cwm swipe, it's a beast and has all the options we need for a tablet.

That's totally why. You're lucky you didn't brick it trying to flash that. DL a ROM for the 10 inch and I would look into upgrading the recovery of you're going to KitKat.

ok well i cant get no OS installed even with Philz updated with philz touch 6 im still stuck with no OS I cant install cm9 or 10 or is it 11?

Is flashmode accessible?
Yes? Just flash a stock FTF
She might have accidentally formatted /system
Or just flash another kernel.. Thats the easiest way and she'll lose no data
