[Q] Jelly Bean icons in 4.4.4? - Droid Ultra Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just upgraded from 4.4 to 4.4.4 and it seems like some of the icons have reverted to Jelly Bean style Moto icons.
The location/GPS icon was a map pin (which I thought was KitKat standard), and it is now a Moto Jelly Bean style crosshair.
The "clear all notifications button" was three staggered bars (again, I thought KitKat standard), but now it's the big, ugly X that Moto has used for years.
Is this a glitch, or did Motorola deliberately give us old style icons back?
Sorry if this has been covered. I couldn't find it.

[Q] Android 4.2 phablet to tablet ui

im now on the EOS 4 ROM, but i didnt like the phablet ui (the notification bar on the top, the nav bar on the bottom) . is there any way to change it? i like the old tablet ui more than the new one
thanks
No you have to stick with 4.1, unless one of the wonderful developers decide to add both, but since Google made the change in 4.2 I doubt it'll happen.

transparent navbar/statusbar novalauncher

Hi Guys,
i loved the transparent status- and navbar in the new google-launcher.
But I wanted to stick to nova launcher and unfortunately i noticed, that both bars are not transparent anymore
So i stumbled upon this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2328346&page=6
There i read that with the latest beta of novalauncher its possible to set transperency for both bars. (even example screenshots of useres were posted)
Unfortunatetly with the latest beta and a rooted 4.4 N5 i do not have any of these options within novalauncher.
Does anyone knows about this or has this fixed yet?
Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure transparency only works with Nova on a few phones. It needs to be updated to allow it on the Nexus 5.
Here is their beta page on Google+. There isn't a current beta, but it's possible they will release a beta with these options to testers first, but I'm not entirely sure.

Maybe due to root not possible?
Hello,
as I bought a new Nexus 5 today as a Christmas present for my mother I noticed today, while preparing it, that her home buttons etc are transparent and my ones not, although stock Android 5.0 and Nova Launcher are installed on both devices equally but her's is unrooted and my one is rooted. My notification bar is transparent though... Only within a few apps I see my home button transparent.
Is it possible that this is the prohibiting factor?
Edit:
Sorry, I was so stupid to not notice, that my background caused this.... With another one I see them being transparent. Sry guys for the useless post ;o

Notifications in Nougat

Hi. There were two main gripes in EMUI 4.1 that ended in selling mine P9. Now I'm wondering about getting Honor 8, but I need two answers from people that are testing Nougat for H8:
1. Did the notification icons become interactive like in stock android? For example, app like Google Now in stock android will display appropriate icon in connection to the notification, it can be a cloud for a weather notification, but it will look different for traffic notification. The P9 just displayed plain G icon in notifications bar. Another example could be Hydro Coach - in nearly every other smartphone it would display icon with actual water consumption in notifications bar, but in P9 it again displayed just plain app icon. How does it work in Nougat Beta for H8?
2. Can you expand notifications bar on lockscreen? Can you expand individual notifications on lockscreen in Nougat?
Thanks! Overall the H8 looks awesome, but I need this features from stock android to fully work. Other than that I don't mind EMUI looking very different, in some cases it has some neat additions.
