TW have this kind of feature ? You can't use the two at the same time ?

nice work!
imho, it would be reasonable to add 1-2 more features>>> add a note, task, reminder, calendar event.......
[to be perfectly honest: i don't see much sense in texting someone i just talked to?!]

Yeah this seems weird at first but I personally use this feature from time to time when for example when the person I'm calling don't answer I can send him a text fastly

I'll look into it, these are good idea
How you see the note feature? I'm thinking notes will be associated with the contact (so accessible in the contact page)
Or maybe anything else?

never thought of busy/no answer situation! (it is an after call action after all )
as in regard to the note/reminder ---- associating it with a contact in any manner would be great; then again, it can simply be directed towards the application of choice (or default) that can perform those actions

Just to let you know I updated ACA with a bunch of new features : button to call logs, to dialpad, to your contacts, to create a calendar event and to take a note
There are pulled out when you click anywhere on the background (the same to access the settings)

Will try it out as soon as I get home.

I need some feedback from you people
Do you have some remarks etc ?
Can you all please test this app

I just posted a new version with some bugfixes
Give it a try

It would be nice if this app overlays instead of opening as a separate app. Sort of "floating ". Better yet it would be nice if i could use this as as incoming call screen that's also floating. Looks pretty though. Great job dev. Subscribed

Thanks for your feedback, floating can be very good but I don't want to be intrusive, I will think about it

Nice app, unfortunately the link no longer works and there are too many apps on the play store with similair name.
If the app is still alive then please update link.

Glad to announce release version of Dialer One - multilingual T9 dialer application. Support contact selection from the address books in following languages: EN, RU, DE, HE, RO, PO, CZ, SE, GR, FR, UA, CN.

Works perfectly on my Nexus- have forgotten what is native dialer ;-)
Especially for Nexus and other phones w/o dial button- can be placed in notifications permanently for quick access.
Can search in all fields of contacts (takes much longer! in you have a lot of them)
This app is comming from the developer of famous aContacts Yermek Zhumagulov, but now supporting all nice functions added in 2.0 contacts+it is lightweight.Support USSD requests
Aviable on Android Market:

Author (neopolitanec) and me would appreciate your comments and wishes.
Hi, please add in support to search by numbers . Also, if you can merge call log and contacts it'd be awesome (right now it shows call log first, but once I tap any number it shows contacts).
Btw, I'm the author of NubDial, and it's open-sourced, it'd be good if we could share some ideas too .
The search through numbers is included-you just need to select it in settings
t9 search mode- Name or Name+numbers
search in history - maybe a bit later.
Author promissed to joing us soon - finishing to poll app now ;-)
Merging call log and contacts is not a high priority for me, but i will add this task in my todo list.
To fast navigate between search by Name and Name+Number just long press # button.
NubDial is nice open-sourced app. I'm not ready for open source. Anyway, I'm open to new ideas.
Looks like great work! Not as advanced as NubDial yet, but it's still new. I agree with Wysie; I'd love to see these two projects merge. The main thing I'd like to see in NubDial is call log integration w/ the contact list, and the theme-ability is nice here too.
Yeah one think I love about this is the speed dial which its lacking in nubdial ...
On the other hand, you can add the phone icon on the right side ( like nub dial) so that we can call directly instead of going into the contacts menu to dial..
Anyways if these two projects combine, that will be wonderful!
Very very nice! Thanks for this App.
The only thing I'm missing is a button to call the contact direct, not to go to the contact menu.
Special the themeing is very fine!
Why not Hebrew properly organized
hello
The Hebrew numbers and letters not arranged
Should be:
1:noting
2:דהו
3:אבג
4:מנ
5:יכל
6:זחט
7:רשת
8:צק
9:סעפ
I hope I'm helpful

The one thing I don't like about T9 dialers is I have a bunch of my contacts saved with prefixed followed my an * and then their name. Neither of these dialers allow me to search by just their name. Instead I would have to type tm*matt for example to call my buddy Matt at work. Any way of correcting this?

[2.1+][APP] Text Notify

This app is simple but useful for people that heavily use full screen apps (games/browsers/ect). It gives a nice little notification that shows the text message/email you just received, allowing you to decide if it's worth quitting your app to reply to it (see picture), even if you're in another app! You can turn the notifications on and off via the main screen. The best part of it is you can play and the notification will not interfere with your touch on the game. It might also have the simplest options menu.
FEATURE LIST:
Works with third party SMS applications
Now supports K9 Mail (requires K9 Mail for functionality)
Shows the sender (name from contacts list or number if contact doesn't exist)
Shows the sender and contents of the message
Low profile
Doesn't interfere with the touch interface of whatever task you are doing
Easy to turn on or off just by the touch of a checkbox
Lightweight
No more quitting Angry Birds just to see that someone texted you "lol"
Works in portrait and landscape orientations
Permissions explained:
Read SMS: So that it can read the text to show you
Read contacts: so that it can see if anyone in your contacts shares the same number and the text sender
Please report any bugs to me.
P.S. I know this is a VERY simplistic app and may seem pointless. If you feel that way that is fine, however I have had a lot of people that laughed at it originally tell me they can't use any full screen app without and they never turn it off. So I simply ask you give constructive criticism. Thank you!

This was just what I was looking for mate, testing now seems to be working just fine
Thanks, appreciate the download and feedback.

Crazy, I was literally just thinking it would be cool to have something exactly like this on my SGS2 when I was playing Star Diamonds Capture... it's an online multiplayer game that you can't really back out of unless you want to risk losing the match, but I always want to make sure I'm not ignoring an important text.
Thanks, I will let you know how it runs and if you stay active as a dev I will support your efforts as much as possible.

From what I see, it doesn't actually show you what the email says or who it's from, just that you have an email. Maybe I can just say you have a new Gmail Email haha

ICS SMS Popup is a simple app that will easily allow you to view and reply to incoming text messages from a pop up dialog. Now you can read and even reply to incoming text messages with out ever having to leave your current activity! Find it annoying to leave in the middle of a task just to view a new message? Try out ICS SMS Popup to solve that problem with a simple solution!
★ Android 4.0 style
★ 5 colored themes (ICS-Blue, Red, Orange, Green, Purple) - More coming soon!
★ Read all incoming SMS messages instantly
★ Slide to unlock animation
★ Instantly reply to messages without leaving a task
★ Auto-receive enabled
★ Inbox quick-launch
★ Custom notifications
★ Task-killer safe
★ Low RAM footprint
★ 0% battery drain
*Tips and help*
★ Why do we need a permission to read your messages? That's simple - so you can view them in the popup. Without it you could not view your messages.
★ Do we collect IQ and read messages? NO. We do not collect data or any other IQ like many other keyboard or popup apps who will steal your information for profit.
★ Avast reporting as malware!?! No, its not malware. It is the AdNetwork SDK which has been certified by Verisign and fully approved by Google. Avast and a few other outdated scanners will mark this as a potential risk because of the required permissions. Don't be fooled, use a legitimate antivirus app like Lookout Security or AVG. See below for more info.
★ Why such extreme permissions? Well, they are required in order for you to read, view, and reply to your messages in the app. We can not view or see any messages you send or receive. We do not support IQ like many other apps, so you are completely safe!
**Other Info**
ICS SMS Popup is the original SMS popup dialog themed to Android 4.0. We have many other flavors available to satisfy all tastes. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible with a solution.
This app provides a few useful shortcuts on your device in the form of a search bookmark link and home screen icon. This gives us a few cents each time the app is downloaded and will help us out a lot in developing more apps. If you do not want to use these new tools, you can simply ignore or delete them by dragging the icon to the trashcan and no harm is done (our app remains the same, no need to uninstall it). There is an ad-free pro version on the Play Store if you would like to support development! Thank you!

Glad you like it! Customization is our main focus, we have an iphone style coming out soon too but the current versions are just to give ppl options while we add features and work out any bugs. Once the beta is complete it will be converted to one main app with downloadable themes and a template for 3rd party devs. Then it will be added to the widget chooser in Omega Launcher

This looks good, but could you make an option to keep the incoming message visible while doing a quick reply? I like to be able to refer to longer or more complicated messages while typing my response.

Glad you like it! This was an early build so it is geared more towards speed and stability than features at the moment but there will be a new customizable version out soon with basically every option you can think of so stay tuned We are just putting the finishing touches on our new themeable status bar app so the SMS popup is next in line.

That is a great idea and will definitely be looked into for the new version. Our team communicates primarily through 5+ message long texts so this feature would be useful for us too lol. Thanks for the suggestion, let us know if you think of anything else and they will be added to the wish list
One of the reviews for your app states it adds shortcuts to the desktop, Google don't allow this.

We are well aware of the new developer policy and our ad networks are fully compliant with the changes. Rather than being opt-out like it was before there will now be a popup after installing that will allow users to either opt-in and receive the shortcuts or continue using the app without them. We literally spend hundreds of hours developing each app so we would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind spending the 2 seconds it takes to remove the icon if you don't want to use them, but if you don't find them to be useful I understand. They are currently our main source of revenue though so if users don't like these kinds of ads then hopefully they will speak with their wallets and purchase the ad-free pro version to help support our full-time development efforts. The new opt-in setting will be integrated in our apps over the next month before the new policy goes into effect and should eliminate any concerns over this issue. Thanks

Hi guys,
my name is Daniele and i'm the developer of PureContact.
I want to talk about my app.
With PureContact you can contact your friends through the use of gestures (swipe up, swipe down, swipe left, swipe right) or through double tap.
Through these simple actions you can recall the whatsapp conversation with the selected contact, send text, write an email or call.
Just long press on blank screen and add your favourite contact. Then you can choose the default photo contact or select one in your gallery.
Pick up one numbers and one email (if the contact have more than one) and just press save.
Go to the settings menu and choose the actions for the swipe.
Now you can use gestures to send text, whatsapp, email or call.
The app was released last night. I already have in mind a few features to be included in the next updates (such as the ability to write messages via facebook or twitter, add themes and other options), but in the meantime I would like to arrive at a stable version and a zero bug (I hope there aren't, but as all the early beta versions of any application I'm afraid that something will come out).
PureContact is free and is available on the Google Play Store.
If you have questions, found bugs, suggestions or requests, just ask
Thank you for your help and support.

Installed it. I like the look of the app. Will try out and give feedback.

imagine a launcher with youre app intergrated into it that would be nice ...

I'm wondering, all my contacts are on Google's servers. Does this app support downloading / editing / updating these contacts? Furthermore this looks like a brilliant alternative to the boring stock people app.

Awesome!!!
I like your idea about how to interact with the icon, very clever!
just only one issue from me;
the (circle)border of people icons seems not smooth right now, the thumb(contact image) inside the circle is not smooth also.
Another thing, I suggested that the size for the contact icon might be bigger.
It looks stunning, I must say!
I'll be closely following development

Very nice concept, good work. Any way you could possibly squeeze in another row to have a dozen contacts?
Nice UI. Downloading. Great Work
Nice App but what it needs:
- Automatically add favorite contacts to the screen
- Make Icons moveable. Choose apps for "left", "right", "top" and "bottom" and than just move the contact to one of the sides
- Add dialer
- Add Call list
download link isnt working. can you upload it again?
Doesn't load the contact list.galaxy tab 2.
Sorry for my previous post.It works but not so impressive in 7" tablet.

This app is really awesome .. but I want to know why is the whatsapp shortcut not working with any of my contacts ?
and if you could improve on the starting time of the app that would be great for the main purpose of the app..
Looks like a promising start!
Two things would be great to add:
(1) an option to add all contacts instead of adding each manually 1-by-1 (of I missed the function to add all at once)
(2) more messenger options (e.g. Line, Skype etc.)
very very nice ui

In test now...
Thx!

Very nice!
Suggestion!
Make the contact pictures larger and/or with square/rectangular frames (maybe an option to choose too). There is just too much white space between the contacts.
Lags?
the stock contacts application is seems quite laggy. Sometimes I have to wait close to a minute when I want to make a call. very frustrating when I have to do that in front of someone also carrying a smartphone. Takes the charm away.
My Question: Does this solve the problem of laggyness usually seen on ICS/JB phones? I currently have the Munjeni JB ROM for Xperia Sola.
Thanks in advance.
Overall awesome, lacks a widget. Hope you'll make it in a new version.

First little bugfix update. You are welcome with all issues and requests!
Does this work only for contacts which are already in my address book or can I use this for calls to/from numbers which are not in my address book?

No difference between contacts from address book or any others, phone number is used as key.
Very good app. Thanks a lot!

It is WRITE_CALENDAR permission. Required for the calendar search and events creation. I do not know why the google name it so. Happy to see new permission model in Marshmallow, - app has support for it.
waw, this is just what I was looking for.
I've been using Call Informer, but isn't updated for a long time ago, and ... most of the times it doesn't work, so this is what I need.
but ... I think it should display all selected fields ( see image below), but I see only notes. Second try I saw also email. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, can this app display notes included on my contacts details?
Thank you for this app, anyway, I'll start trying from now on ...
I don't typically use the native dialer and my carrier number. Instead, 95% of my calls are made/received through Hangouts. Will this work with Hangouts? If not, can it be implemented?
This app is a great idea, by the way!

HappyID should show all available information if android address book contact has one of course. On Marshmallow app should has right permissions available for access the address book. Please try to reinstall (please do not forget to backup notes first) or kill app, maybe something goes wrong.

r4 is the latest version. same as on GP.
I understand what you use the other permissions for, but what do you need/ use the following permissions for?
Calendar:
* read calendar events plus confidential information
* add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owners' knowledge
Other:
* full network access
* view network connections
This is definately an app I would pay for if I can get a clear understanding of the reason for the seemingly unnecessary permissions, especially the full network access permission.

Calendar for the nearest event and to add new events. Network access for Evernote sync, crash reporting (fabric.io) and google analytics.

Thanks. That was the answer I was afraid of. As it is now, the Hangouts incoming call screen is abysmal.
Good luck with the awesome app!!
I've had the desire to have an application like this this about 4 months ago.
And it's a pretty good implementation! Do you think it's possible to show the last exchange/sent/received SMS between you and the caller/person you are dialing out. I feel that this would be a tremendous help.
Cheers on the great app. :good:

This one is on list, but I should solve the puzzle how to show a lot of data on a small window first. I have done some experiments with scrollbars, dynamic font, collapse/expand etc. Unsatisfied, yet.
Works great
