or cm based roms. i believe that there's a hybrid or two as well.
Basically, by reading the thread of the ROM you're using.

Quite a few ROMs that say AOSP but have CAF parts in them, such as Carbon.

ROMs that have some CAF aspects (Sound etc), generally don't say they do - and also use AOSP kernels anyway.
OK I extend my Answer
"Basically, by reading the thread of the ROM you're using. If it is not obvious, ask in the ROM thread - Do not ask in Kernel threads"

I think there is no pure aosp, pure aosp is made by google, and we cant use 100% pure aosp source code to make rom for daily uses..
You can see oxygen rom by popdog, that still need some part from cm source code to make it work better.

this is NOT and i repeat NOT an alpha or beta of pa in any way!!!! he just tried to do an unofficial build and was pleased from the pa devs to should it down and remove the post from xda!! the post on xda is allready closed by a mod after mysterious published the pmof an pa dev.
mysterious just love pa but please keep in mind, that his build is not official or unofficial supported by the pa team.
please go to the pa g+ page and inform yourself about the current status of pa.
Hey all. I'm thinking about installing Ubuntu and learning how to build! Can any of you recommend a updated guide for building preferably PA. I tried searching but found outdated links. Thanks!

What AOSP ROMs have lockscreen notifications, apart from Liquid Smooth?
I do believe SlimKat has them too, but I couldn't find the option whilst testing various ROMs in one day.
Thanks in advance!

Carbon, Paranoid SaberDroid, Mahdi ROM have them.
Slimkat doesn't have them. There are already good apps to do it so they don't feel the need

And they also suspect it would cause problems with battery hence leaving it out is logical.
Validus. Barome on goo has a slim build with it as well as @Minux31 latest build in his linaro thread. Vanir is mostly aosp.
