Hello,
I´m afraid I have bricked my Xoom trying to update it to a newer Android version.
I tried to install a newer Android which needed a Bigpart Partition. I installed a new TWRP Version and installed new Rom.
My Xoom got stucked at the developer Logo. After that I tried different roms, different TWRP versions, wiped everything...
now my Xoom has no OS installed and I can´t install an older Rom or a newer TWRP Version because the System Partition cannot be mounted.
Has anyone an idea how I can fix it again or have i bricked it.
Thx in advance
Regards
Alexander
I fixed mine
I had exactly the same problem and if you still need help I can tell you what to do.

Today I got he message that I will get back my Xoom unrepaired. Can you tell me how you fixed yours?
Thx in advance. With best regards

Read this post
Copy and past this link into your address bar. Let me know if you fix it. First you must use big part tool then flash clockwork mod. I tried this but untill I flashed clockwork it didn't work. You must flash the stock rom for your country and model.
See link below.

The answer is that I'm not sure how the international 3.1 differs from the US 3.1. I'm sure we will find out soon. Also are you Wifi only or 3G/Gsm version?

Did you use the boot file that GoNYoR used or did you just follow the instruction in the Xoom forums? I wonder if this will work with a 3G MZ604 on HC3.1. Really interested in rooting my Xoom.

1st of all, welldone eos team!! Will love to update this rom with my xoom hk version. but sadly most of the thread end up saying hong kong version should stay away...i think its maybe the partition issues stil the main problem, anyone here already test the rom with hong kong version?
Why are we being left out?
Hi all,
Been using the MZ601 3g/WiFi for a few months and still can't get to a point to root it. Last time I rooted it a lot of stuff does not work like the market and memory. I paid motorola to flash it back as they will not provide the SBF file. Also HK versions are not going to get the upgrade to ICS from motorola. Though they have put it into planning stage only which means no ICS for us. If anyone have proper information on how to root HK version 3g/WiFi MZ601 please please let us know.
TIA
Eric
I think you guys can just flash the EU version of the EOS rom...(HK version should be UMTS instead of CDMA).

Only if solarnz has added the special files to deal with the HK model's storage partition issues. I'm sure he'd help if possible.

Well there's a high possibility that the 3G xoom sold in hk is the eu version...
1. HK uses EU mobile frequencies
2. I've got my wingray in hong kong and still be able to flash the EOS rom...
So just check carefully whether or not you are having the EU xoom...
You can try flashing the EU version of the rom but I'll recommend that you'll do a backup first in recovery.
Hi aR_ChRiS,
Thanks for the reply. So how exactly can I backup my original firmware? I don't want to again pay Motorola to reflash again. I cannot find the exact procedures to backup. Please help.
TIA

install clockworkmod and, before rooting, go into the backup-menu and run a nandroid backup.
I am not sure which recovery you should use, as your partition table looks different from 'the usual'. The 'modded' CWM is modded in a way to exclude the /sdcard-folder (=/data/media) from wipes, backups, etc, so this is probably not the recovery you should go for. Also, if you change your partition table to match the european xooms, you will probably have to undo that before you can restore that backup.

Rom for hk xoom
Hi Nick,
Lucikly I didn't root as my motherboard had problems and they replaced it twice. Anyway unless I can find the sbf file for hk mz601 I dont think I can safely do it. As i don't want to pay for it to be reflashed each time. Also from reading around it is best for hk users not to root. Or at least wait for the warranty to run out. For me it is end of this year

Anyone have honeycomb 3.1 (or 3.2…) stock ROM for LG V-900 (Optimus PAD). Or any working custom ROM? Still I didn’t get any single update from LG.
LG V-900 was my wrong decision.

I also have got an LG-V900 which I want to root. In order to help me, could you answer to these questions :
1 - Can you tell us how did you root it (with linux, windows) ?
2 - Didn't you lose 3G when you rooted it ? Are you sure it's only the update with android 3.1 from v909 which broke 3G ?
3 - Did you try this in order to recover 3G :

I guess you already managed to do it. I use CM10 from this guide a long ago and it works fine. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32322-rom-cyanogenmod-10-alpha-t-mobile-g-slate-v909/
Today i received an update from Motorola for my Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition 3G Wi-Fi (MZ608).
After the installation my tablet that was running properly stopped to work and now it´s not loading the operating system.
There is someone here that can help me with this issue ?
Where I can find an official rom for this device to reinstall it again ? I´ve tried to find something on Motodev (developer.motorola.com/products/software) but no success...
There is a stable ICS version for this device ?
Thanks a lot.

Hello, I need some help in what firmware do I install
XOOM MZ601 - Build: JZO54M
Currently on android 4.1.2
Problems: 3G doesn't work, there's only 2 available languages(English and Spanish), I need Russian language
Problems aren't inherent, from what I've been told someone tried to install incompatible firmware, or something like that
I know that codename for my model would be Everest, but i'm still little confused about firmware to choose
I would've already installed stock from "firmware.center", but I don't see any for MZ601 or at least my build
Anyone?
I am not familiar with Russian, and have not used any non-English language on my Xoom. But there is an option for "Русский" in my Rom.
The rom is EOS UMTS Everest 123 based on JB 4.1.2. If you want that, I can upload it.
PS: Have not used 3G in a long time, but IIRC it worked the last time I used it.
EDIT: Sorry just saw your build. My rom won't work on it.
