Hey guys first post on here as I am seeking some knowledge about these two services. I have tried searching around Google to no prevail.
1. I am curious if these 2 services are the same thing? I am working on building a custom ROM in the android kitchen and am trying to weed out and update atleast these 2 services and the google play store.
2. I was also was wondering about LatinImeGoogle.apk since this is Google Keyboard. I tried completely replacing it with GoogleKeyboard_3.1.19653.1284735.apk in my custom rom before baking it in the android kitchen and it kept constantly starting up and force closing.
Thank you in advance!

I am running TnT lite 4.4. I have done the market fix, hacked my build.prop so my device's name is olympus to get tegra apps and installed swype.
I haven't done any other hacking our modifying and everything I mentioned was done days ago. I reharged and downloaded Sports Illustrated's Frontrow which required Adobe Air which I installed. Now I am getting the Google services frame work crashes.
Any ideas?
Hi everyone, I was wanting to know what all the different components of Google are on Gingerbread 2.3.4 (LG Enlighten vs700 phone). I ask because Google Play Store doesn't work. It keeps prompting me, "Sorry! The application google play store (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. force close is the only option when i get this message, and it does reappear.
I have spent weeks on this - there are hundreds maybe even thousands of forums out there all devoted to this error. Seems like a huge volume of phones experience this error. There are a few fixes, but it only seems to work for a handful of people who have this problem.
What have I tried?
Factory reset (several times)
Reinstalling google play store, services, and market with the latest or a different version than what's on there now
youtube fix - I even reinstalled youtube
at this point, i did another factory reset last night just to start over with a clean slate - youtube works wonderfully. i have email on it. as a work around i use the amazon app store and 1 market store for apps, but it's a real bother with no google play and constantly getting the errors.
the strange part is i have a second identical phone (which is my experimental phone) - which does NOT get this error. I have no idea why one does, and the other doesn't.
the reason i was wondering about the components and versioning is as a last attempt to fix this (before i just live with it) - i was going to reinstall ALL the components google uses for the playstore to work, manually. i don't necessarily want to install the latest - i want to install the version specific to gingerbread 2.3.4. i have looked and looked online but i haven't been able to find any kind of component list (much to my surprise) the two components i have figured out are:
google play services 4.3.24 (android 2.3+)
google play 3.5.15 (android 2.3+)
Im having a problem myself and wondering if this is the fix. So a while back I used kingroot to root (obviously) and it was great for a couple weeks then I started getting force close messages mostly related to google apps including play store and framework. Obviously something is wrong and whatever it is having caused issues with framework is causing me not to be able to play games (sometimes) and not being able to log in to games using google account (always) cant check gmail, cant use google search half the time, etc.. I decided I would just knuckle under and deal with it being no way to flash a rom to fix it or to flash gapps to fix it but now im just sick of it. Im not entirely new to root, I rooted my old Motorola Atrix 2 (multiple roms) and my LG G2 and LG G3 and my brothers phone (dont remember the name). I hate not having access to twrp and all those tools..
SO, ive tried all the little things like clearing the cache of play store and even uninstalled all google apps and reinstalled them and tried different versions of framework but to no avail. Ive tried all the tips and all the "fixes". I either need to know if this will fix my problem or if someone has a link to a proper version of play store and framework to see if thats my problem. If anyone can help me fix my phone I would be eternally grateful.
Hi everyone,
How can I remove the Google Search bar/widget from the home screen of an Android 8.1 AOSP build which is using launcher3?
I'm trying to create a new ROM with as pure AOSP as possible, and without the Google applications. I need a way of removing the Google search bar that doesn't involve installing a third-party app or getting the user to do something.
Been Googling for days and not found an answer to this question.
Thanks all,
Dave

Did you figure this out? I'm trying to do the same.
Hello, I'm new to ROM development. I'm trying to make a ROM without any google services. I plan to offer it with MicroG. I've had a hard time finding a list of all google services files to remove and I have had to research each file individually and have had poor luck so far. Rather than reinvent the wheel, is there is a list available?
