JIAYU G4S in question.
iv been using this as a daily driver, and is amazing!
its very smooth, Runs ART stock out of the box, and best of all ITS STOCK ANDROID!
Iv been using this with Nova Launcher, since the google now laucher on this rom doesnt have transparent status bar
updating to newest google now launcher has same issue
The battery life is amazing, standby for almost 10 hours, doesnt loose 1% of battery, iv gone entire weekends without charging! (note g4s 300mah version)
on screen time is also very good
Xposed also works, but obviously NO ART SUPPORT!
Camera app is very decent, although its not a google camera, its still very good.
Pros:
Butter smooth
Stock Android 4.4.2
Good features
Battery is Incredible
google dialer stock
Cons:
Gps doesnt function well (but all mediatek phones have terrible gps)
Google launcher has no transparency for status bar.
can be some slow downs because the cpu touch is default =2 cores (see reccomendations)
answer call dialer is abit strange..
recommendations:
NOVA LAUNCHER. (buy prime, its great)
CPU ADJUSTER. (make default profile, 15000 sample rate, touch cpu = 4 and Deadline.) (make screen off time same, but limit max cpu usage to 728mhz) (NOTE: this uses a7 cores which are very power efficent, iv tested 4 cores vs 2 cores on touch, and battery life is very similar.)
enjoy this guys
AND! Thank you Team Force for all your effort, and keep up the amazing work, i hope one day you end up in the league of other amazing rom makers on XDA

how to you install it?
My 3e recovery do not seem to like their rom and recovery

Hacking default launcher for speed.

I like default launcher on this tablet, but i know that the problem with it responsivness somewhere in source code.
Is there any way to hack and rebuild default launcher for speed? I know that some smartphones got this hack.
i'm adding up several thing on my build prop base on 6800 custom rom... and its work well... head here if you want to give it a try...

decompile apk, you can enable hardware acceleration ( in bools.xml I think ) and also opening/closing times of app drawer & apps, etc. in milliseconds. ( in some values .xml)
Or maybe you can just use another Launcher
You know, I got a Motorola Xoom a Galaxy Note and now I even got the Tab 7 plus.
On Xoom with custom ICS ROM and an overclocked kernel (who can reach 1.7Ghz), my alternative launcher is smooth and fast (even if is a 10.1")
On Note with a custom GB ROM and a custom kernel with (increased GPU value) my alternative launcher is even smooth and fast
BUT... I must confess that on the Tab 7 with OEM kernel and ROM, this launcher is even smoother and faster
Really strange thing
Ps
Launcher is ADW EX (which is the best one IMO)

[Q] PAC-ROM Sony style help, guide

hello everyone soon i`ll start using PAC-ROM, and i need help or someone guide me , who actually has it or done it before, so i`d like to have aosp rom fully themed to sony style, apps, framework, systemUI and of corse sony camera etc. i`ve tried to do it before and i got a lot of FC`s so it wasn`t usable at all, so i need to be stable too for daily use since pac-rom have RC2 status, and what kernel to use and setting for best multitasking performance thanks in advance
I've tried all kitkat ROMs for xl. But nothing s close to stock in terms of performance and multitasking.. Also KitKat ROMs for l are too buggy... I would suggest you to go back to stock...
hmm i`ve tried pac-rom and its prerformance is poor ;/ but why? kitkat have less requirements, on antutu i got about 14k points and thunderzap with 1,2Ghz + random reboots, on 4.2.2 with thunderzap and 1,2Ghz i have 20974 points but cpu jumps up from Poor to Good status but it doesn`t change anything at all i`ve only managed how to get better multitasking performance on 4.2.2 and works flawlessly i can play games on ppsspp with full performance even gta san andreas works on high settings

[JFLTEXX] Need help in choosing rom

Hello guys!
I would like to ask you for opinion what is best ROM for you. I recently rooted my I9505 and installed CM 12.1 but I want to check another viable ROMs, but there are SO many ones in android development section
Since I love to play many games on my phone, Im looking for a rom that is categorized in order by:
- Maximum performance and fps stability
- System stability (yes it is at second place )
- Battery usage (Im using greenify)
- Features
Im open to any suggestions. In few days these is some free time for testing ROMs
Optimized CM13 or AOSP 6 by JDC Team. In Stweaks app, select the extreme performance profile. Antutu scores over 35000 while other roms score around 32000.
Yet for gaming, I believe 5.1.1 is better, JDC Team made those as well.
^ what he/she said.
When it comes to performance, JDCTeam roms are best, due to the included alucard kernel.
Switch to the extreme performance profile and you're good to go. Note that not all settings take effect after applying the profile, so you may need to reboot.
You will also get good up time, because the kernel automaitically switches to a low power mode when the screen is off.
But when it is in use you will get about 2 hours SOT.
With extreme battery you may get around 4-5 hours SOT.
The stock cm kernel, that comes with pretty much every rom, is ok and all for everyday usage, but when it comes to performance it kinda sucks compared to custom kernels.
@GDReaper Paradoxically, on CM 12.1 with performance battery profile (in notifcation bar) I get AnTuTu score near 38k. However, when I tested JDCTeam optimized CM 12.1 and changed to performance battery mode in notification bar, I got at least 30k score (however I haven't modified kernel via STweaks yet). Maybe I should give it a try .
By the way, is Alucard custom kernel contains fast charging feature? I wanted to test it as well
That battery mode from CM only changes the CPU governor to Performance.
Alucard kernel changes many different settings depending on the kernel profile.
Also, the S4 does not have fast-charge built-in. Only the newer phones have that feature.
Then I don't know why standard CM rom gave me so high score.
However I will test again Optimized CM 12.1 and reply back tomorrow (making backup and so on)
Optimized CM13 by JDC Team is the best in my opinion.
I would go for stock based one like lollirom v8
best stability, no lag over time...
Thank you all for answers
Checked Optimized CM 12.1 and changing profile in STweaks to extreme performance really gives huge boost (over 38k score) as well as extreme battery cuts its performance when battery is more important (under 30k score).
The only cons is that changing between profiles takes about 20-30 seconds but it doesn't bother me so much
EDIT: I read that when you install Lollirom v8 you have to change modem to HPA1 to make WiFi work properly. Is that really needed?
Im not convinced to modify anything other than system. Is it possible to backup my modem easily so I can restore it if something goes wrong?
I will be doing the same as you!! Ive been using Golden Eye for quite some time now, but am ready for something new

You can use a custom kernel to avoid the WiFi issue.
I don't know if there is any way to backup the modem, but changing the modem isn't hard either.
Lollirom will not change your modem, only official stock roms can change your modem.

Depends on your personal preference because there is no huge difference in performance
-If you like stock android experience use Pixel Experience
-If you like stock android experience with plethora of customizations then go for RR7
-and if you just want better battery than go for miui
Pakistani
Resurrection remix is much better than pixel experience.
However miui is more optimised for the phone.
You want speed and performance?
I suggest you flash latest Aosip and flash Mihran's Twrp recovery and format your data partition to f2fs.(note that by formatting your data to f2fs will wipe your internal storage) You will forget everything else.
More smoothness go for PE
ALL Customisation go for RR
If you want ads go for miui
customroms can never beat the Vendor Stockrom
all Custom roms 8.1 / 9.0 that i have tried ( and i tried nearly 25 roms) and THE ONLY two ADVANTAGES i have found over MIUI are
1. Dirty Unicorn Customizations ( navbar tweaking, statusbar tweaking, display screen tweaking etc)
2. Kcal advantage to set saturation and screen tints and values according to you eyes
the following disadvantages i have found in almost all custom roms (main because all roms are using AnyKernel Source by Osmosis) (derp / insignix / noname kernels etc)
1. Random Reboots while disconnecting call/ gsm call or whatsapp call or messenger calls ( in Oreo) (works fine if Headphone jack instered)
2. screen fails to wakesup when mobile removed from ear to disconnect call! (oreo) (works fine if headphone jack is inserted)
3. whatsapp voice notes acts funny and makes screen off for first 2 seconds while playing any recieved whatsaap not (OREO/PIE) (works OK if headphone jack is inserted
MIUI 10x
1. smooth rom with better screen colors then miui9
2. kcal doesn't work even if you change kernels (the values only sticks until you don't switch off the screen)
3. amazing batterlife!
4. heavy on ram! even 6gb ram is 52% always full (mainly due to rich MIUI blobs
@YasuHamed
These two apps are the alternative for kcal on MIUI, one for the saturation and the other has an option to control the RGB with also some nice features and that's more than good enough.
Let the apps start on boot from auto-start setting or simply you can convert them to system apps and forget.

yes i have tried both , they are good B grade substitution for Kcal as none of them allows your to change screen output values, and control contrast. if you compare whatsapp screen of RN5p on MIUI with Samsung or Huwaie or Sony, you will see Major difference where thier color/contrast values always define chat borders and easy to read!

well but in miui you can use dual apps while RR and PE require third party apps which also contain ads such as parallel space

I never expierienced random reboots, screen fails or "funny" voice notes. But I had several phones where the custom rom was way better than the stock rom. Especially when the stock roms are bloated with useless ****.
heavy on ram doesn't make any sense. The OS isn't supposed to have a lot of free ram laying around doing nothing. If you think it should, then you probably also "cleaning" apps out of your recent history.

This function is probably useful for like 5% of the users. But obviously there are apps without ads for that function.

Performance and fluidity management

Hello I just separated from my redmi note 8 to move to Realme 5 pro.
Super smartphone but I still regret Miui.
Realme's system is too messy and difficult to navigate with all the parameters. For example management. Performance and quite complex to assess and duplicates with the configuration of energy saving.
Another little problem that concerns animations because they cause a lot of slowing down in the opening and closing of applications as with the Google widget which takes time to launch.
As a result the redmi note 8 is much more fluid and faster in navigation However its processor is less efficient.
I still found a solution to troubleshoot by disabling animations in the develop mode but strangely after a while the launcher resets the default settings and animations come back.
It’s not a performance problem, but A software optimization problem and I think that Color OS does not help .
Otherwise everything is perfect. The screen is better than the redmi note 8 especially in contrast, concern the camera I would say it is about the same thing but for the moment I have a preference for the xiaomi sensor, for example on gcam I find that the photo are more sharpness while on Realme there is a too smooth effect which is seen a lot in bokeh mod. (I specify that I used the same two version of gcam 7.0 for the comparison even if the developer is necessarily different)
Once again probably a question of optimization.
Finally I love vooc 3.0

you are right, I have the same problems but the most important one is the very bad ram management even if there is free ram, the system is aggressive in killing the background apps.
if I have just two chrome tabs opened and left the phone for 2 minutes when I try to open the tabs, I found it reloading.
hello and thank you for your answer.
Really a shame for the software management of the smartphone. He possesses a snapdragon 712 !!! In use I have the impression that it could very well be a 660 or even 625.
On the other hand the positive is the management battery because I find that in autonomy it is really better than the redmi note 8.
I also found a problem with optimizing the display area for the keyboard. The bottom part left a gap and did not marry the bottom screen.
Attached is a screenshot
I'm putting the screen print here because I didn't manage to do it on my previous post
