Hello guys I'm experiencing the blue led notification in my NEXUS 5 which keeps on beeping after i see the notifications also. I know its a bug but can we overcome it apart from factory reset? And the screen after using any app gets blacked out at the top and bottom i cant use it for few seconds. I'm using Nova Launcher. Please share your suggestions.

Anyone having problems with theirs? Even with light flow I have problems. What settings are other people using to get light flow to work?

There was an update today for it that supposedly had N5 support but it did not work for me until I turned off the Foreground option. Also when running the test I had to turn the screen off.

Lightflow working fine for me, even before the update. I unchecked Foreground since I don't like the persistent notification, but no issues either way.
The only "issue" I found is that after the update you have to go back in and authorize LF to work with you Hangouts notifications again. After that, working great.

Cool, I'll check it out!

Hello guys ,
As youmay understand ,I'm new on Nexus devices.I wanted to use the Notification Light to inform me if there's something new or not.
I saw the Light Manager App which works perfectly . But the Light Flow (lite~premium) doesn't work .I just can't go with it , it looks promising but it doesn't work ,as it doesn't inform me for a notification ,nor if I press the test button ,it Simply doesn't work .
It looks great but it seems that I can't do it .Please someone out there help me or if you could give me your backup it'd be great thanks anyway

If LightManager works perfectly then what are you looking for in Light Flow? I'm using LightManager to control what color the notification light is for each different type of notification. If that's all you want to do then stick with what works.

Because Light Flow looks better and it has many more features ,one of them was Mixing the colours Red,Blue,Green (forgive me if I made a mistake on these colors)

Light Flow works for me but it has bugs. View the help website in the app and go to Nexus 5 page.

Light Flow works for the most part for me.
Only sometimes after SMS gets dismissed, notification seems to keep blinking, though may be a GO SMS thing, not reproduced it consistently enough yet.
I use this to set it up http://www.folioflow.com/ff/page/website/lightflow/pageId/2349
Lightflow worked perfectly on my Nexus 4 but on my 5 it's a little buggy. With the last update a couple days ago it's running much better though. I know the dev is working hard on getting all the bugs worked out and he's getting close. I'm using the paid version and I would recommend it because the developer is very responsive on a few of these threads and is actively working on making it better.

In the US English yes, no other version yet (unless you go custom and hack it yourself)
Everything is ON now and setting in US English too but saying the magic words won't wake up the phone. Any other idea?

If the mic icon in the search bar is an outline it's not working, if it's a solid icon then it should be working

Ok Google only works from the home screen on 4.4.x versions of android, the moto x has a special always listening function built by moto as well a chip that has low battery usages that allows for the active listening function anytime. Its probably possible for the nexus 5 to do the same but it would drain the $h1t out of the battery.
In moto x it called the "active display".. In which the phone always listening thru its mic. If somehow our nexus 5 can have this feature would be awesome..
Sent from my Nexus 5 via XDA Premium HD
No, this is not possible as we do not have the same chipset as the Moto X.
utter! has "always listening even when screen is off" functionality (and much more).

Active Display is actually a notification feature that shows you what notifications you have while you're screen is off. It powers on your screen while you're phone is locked to show you notifications periodically. This feature was developed for the amoled screen that the moto x has since that type of display can light up individual pixels and not the whole screen to save battery. But active display has been ported by a few different custom roms now like Omni.

Without installing an App with the "always listening" feature it is not possible.
There are Apps for that.
Open Mic+ is a good one. Use it myself.
Hello,
I just bought my Moto G today, When i press the Power off button, it vibrates and screen goes to black very fast. In my previous phone, it took sometime to turn off. Is it an issue or working fine.
Thanks.
Absolutely the Droid 3 was like one of fastest shut downs I ever had. So I can imagine the g can do it better

Its not an issue I have to brand new moto gs and they do the same thing.

I have a smart case and have the issue that if the case is closed the phone only vibrates once when it's ringing.
So I've installed smart vibrator which now makes the phone vibrate on an incoming call or sms.. this seems to work OK, even if the case is closed.
However, If I turn the ringer off so the phone is silent, then I only get one vibration... any way to get it vibrate while it's ringing in silent mode ?
Thanks
Sounds like you need cataclysm rom in your life

Thanks for the replies.
