[Q] Can Bootloader be unlocked - Sony Xperia L

my Xperia L C2104 device does not show any YES or NO in the bootloader unlock allowed section of service configuration.
It only shows like this:
Bootloader Unlock Allowed
and no yes or no after that.
Also I tried to unlock the bootloader previously via official method but it showed Error: Bootloader cant be unlocked officially.
Help me guys, Can the Bootloader be unlocked in my device and if yes HOW? Any Unofficial method there for unlocking bootloader plz convey that...also m a NOOB so simpler language appreciated :silly:

The phone doesn't need to only show YES or NOT.
It can also be ALLOWED or NOT ALLOWED.... which is practictly the same thing dont you think?
For sony devices bootloader can only be unlocked this way
http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/ (just follow the steps)

I also tried that method a month ago. I will try it again. but the commands given in the website arent accepted. they show error with tht commands. :crying:

I had tons of problems with this, I thought all was lost. I have win 8.1 x64 and assumed it was a driver problem and so did the unsigned driver install in windows safe mode. No dice, flashtool continued to be unable to unlock. What worked for me was re-submitting my code to sony, I got a totally different unlock code and then it worked through flashtool! Maybe give that a try? Fingers crossed!!

[Q] Problems with SE Bootloader Unlocker for Miro

So I finally menage to root my Miro using UnlockRoot but now trying to unlock the bootloader with SE Bootloader Unlocking using step-by-step instructions from ht tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560613.
After typing IMEI code (14 of 15 digits) it gets stuck at getting unlock code, so my real question is: can I flash custom ROM without unlocking the bootloader?!

done that and it still won't give me unlock code....maybe it has something to do with inability to unlock bootloader?
Yes. You should first check if bl unlocking allowed on your phone.
If yes, You should see this
https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/bootloader-unlock
Also, there is a step by step guide on the sony website.
Also are the fastboot drivers properly installed on your computer?
The other thing is that the bl unlocking tool provided here in the forum, didnt work for my friend's tipo also. That program uses flashtool already present in its folder.
What i have noticed is that particular version of flashtool does not recognize miro/tipo. So maybe thats the issue.
Anyways you should refer the link i gave or the sony website.

[Q] Sony Xperia U st25i fastboot mode / Bootloader unlock allowed: NO

Hi.
I need help.
In 2012 I bought a Sony Xperia U st25i, and as you know officially can't update it to Android KitKat.
So I read a lot of forums and one point I stuck, I can't get to fastboot mode.
I rooted it, got Superuser on it, got clockworkmod etc. I've tried everything, but I can't get to fastboot mode.
Is there a solution to unlock it, if it says; Bootloader unlock allowed: NO?
Thanks for your help.
PS: sorry if my english is wrong
follow the instructions on this article dude, everything is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Sony_Xperia_U
i have a sola but it has the same everything hardware wise
If you have locked bootloader (and you have) you can get only room based on your kernel. So sorry but forget about KitKat and everything more than your stock (4.0.3).

It's impossible to unlock...
Is it simlocked? If it's simlocked to some network you are unable to unlock the bootloader. If you unlock the phone, you will be able to unlock the bootloader

I had several phones that were sim locked and I was unable to unlock the bootloader. After sim unlocking them I was able to unlock the bootloader. The same goes for the Xperia M2, it was locked on T-Mobile MK, after unlocking the phone I was able to unlock the bootloader.

So, I assume that if I flash a debranded firmware from Xperia M2 (My cellphone can't unlock Bootloader about the "[x]Newtork 10" is locked in SimLock) may unlock the bootloader without any troubles? Is that so? Or I'm mistaken?
If I'm correct, that'd be amazing, I'd like use other ways to personalize my phone but I can't 'cause of the stupid Bootloader xDD.
Thanks!

Debranding basically removes all the bloatware that slow your phone down. You can't sim unlock with debranding, only with special code provided by some other sim unlock sites/ebay

Exactly that. Try to enter it correctly because there is a limit on how many times you can enter to network unlock code. If it doesn't work on KitKat, downgrade it to 4.3 and enter the code. I had similar problem where I was unable to unlock on KK but on 4.3 worked fine.

Well, about that, I have a "plan", or, better said, a contract between the carrier and the cellphone, so, I must wait for two days to complete the "legal" contract. So, after that, I guess that I can unlock the device and then, unlock bootloader.
Thanks for everything!

Unlocking bootloader imposible

Well, hello to everyone. I bought Sony Xperia Z3 and bought code to unlock it for all sim cards and it works. When i visited Sony's site for unlocking bootloader i came across this post:
In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
Well, my device cannot be unlocked because it says No..
so what can i do to unlock it?

What? Do you know what you are taking about..
Anyway, if the service menu says you cannot do it then it is impossible to unlock it.

For your device it is not allowed, so you can't unlock the bootloader.
/I've read some threads about trying to unlock the bl although service says "no" on other Devices like z Ultra:
It's not impossible to unlock the bl with official method if you know your device earlier had status allowed "yes".

its necessity if you want an aosp rom .....
Stock basted Roms on most Sony devices are pretty fast and solid in my opinion no need to really unlock unless your desperate for cm
So that's it? If the bootloader can't be unlocked officially, I'm stuck on Sony roms forever?
Wouldn't bother me so much but my Z3 has a horrible bug where it doesn't work with the bluetooth in my car without rebooting first every time. Was hoping to install CM12.
Could be a hardware fault the Bluetooth

It's not that I have any major issues with Sony roms, I'd just like to be able to flash other stuff in the future, should I want to.
I'm still going to keep the Z3, such a nice phone, nothing else really comes close to it for me yet. Maybe the M9, but I just got the Z3 for £260 from o2 and had it network unlocked, probably have been looking at least double that for the HTC.
You can still root the device and customize it. Tools like the XPosed framework are great at modifying specific parts of the ROM.
But to confirm: you're stuck. You can't unlock Sony's unlockable bootloader. I've heard of people trying to unlock it, I've never heard of a successful case.
Enjoy the phone, it's among the best available right now (imho).

Hi,
-First you can't change it to yes
-Second You can't root your device for the time being cause you need an unlocked bootloader
-Third there's no way to unlock a bootloader unless you have "Unlocked allow yes"
-Fourth be polite next time and say at minimum "Hello" please

I don't think so, we're talking about bootloader so it can f*cked up anytime I think it would be better to don't play with it if we're not sure.
This is just an advice, do what you want to do after that, I'm just giving my thought no need to follow it if you don't want to
What is the logic behind this?
I mean some devices are unlockable and some are not!
What this actually mean?
Well! Can i install custom recovery on locked bootloader?

Nope, you need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash anything.
So it simply means i can't flash any recovery, rom or root my device
That pretty much mean you can't do anything right now sorry bro
It means I've to sale out my device
And buy other brand like LG or HTC
Or exchange it against another unlockable one ?
I don't know, do as you like, sorry for you, just bad luck
http://bootloaderunlock.com/
I've found a video tutorial on YouTube with a link to download software to unlock the bootloader of devices those shows the status "Bootloader unlock allow:No"
Here is the video link
Beware a lot of fake videos are running through the Internet, I warn you, but as I said before do as you like.
If I were you I would not play with bootloader, either I change phone, or I wait for a locked bootloader tuto.

Thanks but this is definitely my last device from sony
This ain't Sony who's responsible, this is your provider.
I'm French I have a Z5 (no prenium no compact)
From Bouygues Télécom, and it ain't locked I'm actually rooted running a custom Rom everything is fine.
This is between you and your luck, you and your provider
