[Q] Problems with SE Bootloader Unlocker for Miro - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

So I finally menage to root my Miro using UnlockRoot but now trying to unlock the bootloader with SE Bootloader Unlocking using step-by-step instructions from ht tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560613.
After typing IMEI code (14 of 15 digits) it gets stuck at getting unlock code, so my real question is: can I flash custom ROM without unlocking the bootloader?!

done that and it still won't give me unlock code....maybe it has something to do with inability to unlock bootloader?

Yes. You should first check if bl unlocking allowed on your phone.
If yes, You should see this
https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/download/bootloader-unlock
Also, there is a step by step guide on the sony website.
Also are the fastboot drivers properly installed on your computer?
The other thing is that the bl unlocking tool provided here in the forum, didnt work for my friend's tipo also. That program uses flashtool already present in its folder.
What i have noticed is that particular version of flashtool does not recognize miro/tipo. So maybe thats the issue.
Anyways you should refer the link i gave or the sony website.

It says that bootloader can't be unlocked but I was hoping that someone already menaged to avoid this blockage...or is there any way of flashing custom ROM with bootlocker locked?

[Q] Sony J root noob question

Hi.
I'm kinda noob in this root thing. I have a Sony J with 11.2.A.0.31 and i want to install CM10 (freexperia project).
Do root and unlock bootloader the same thing? do i need to do both? or just need to follow the sony website instructions http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions?
After that? do i just have to folow these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1997251?
And another question if i ever want to go back and put the phone just like i bought it, can i do it?
Thanks.

First root your phone then unlock bootloader by that solution.
But unlock bootloader will lose DRM keys permanent, Bravia Engine (not sure Xperia™ J have or not)
I recommend you to backup the DRM keys first (search how to backup the keys)
And after that just follow the instruction to install CM10.
Last you can back your phone to normal but you will lose DRM keys.(you can restore if you have backup)

Thanks Ben
So i rooted my device with this method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472, this also instaled SuperSU.
Now following the instructions on sony website to unlock bootloader it says
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. If you have a tablet, click here to learn how access the service menu.
In your device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Unlock bootloader: no. There is no workaround / tespoint method yet. You can only root and use roms for locked bootloader. Cm10 needs unlocked bootloader.

[Q] Hello!

Hi! I'm new to the xda forums, i'm kinda noob and i have some questions. I would really apriciate if you guys could answer them .
I own a Sony Xperia J(awesome phone for it's price) locked on a mobile network. So my questions are:
1. If i unblock my phone from the network, will i be able to unlock the Bootloader? ( now it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No")
2. If the answer the the question 1. is no, can i possibly unlock my bootloader using another way?
3. Is it possible to flash mods (not roms), ports, on rooted official 4.1.2 rom?
These are my questions. Thank you!
Probably nothing will work because u won't be able to unlock bootloader even if u break network lock..(from my knowledge)
Both are different..and you can flash mods...it's kinda risky.. U do something wrong, you will have to flash your phone...losing all Data
Installing mods can be done with an app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422313
But there are heavy risks buddy...u r playing with fire
Thank me if I helped you
thanks !
Thank you, even though i am kinda sad..but meh!
I tried the app but after i reboot nothing changes...maybe i did something wrong...
I haven't tried it...
Thank me if I helped
There is a very easy way to unlock bootloader without having to do all those things in Sony the only requirement is a rooted phone, Download the app EZ-unlock it is a ONE-CLICK bootloader unlock app which you can unlock and relock
The app will request Superuser or SuperSU permissions so grant it that

Hi mate!
Have you tried to root via this http://www.unlockroot.com/ ?
You can download free version and don't use flashtool via rooting.
If you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033114
or something similar to that way, remember about shutting down adb.exe process with ctrl+ald+del and in processes find adb.exe
Give me feedback if it worked
Edit: And remeber about one of most important things: enable unknown sources and usb debugging

You should use UnlockRoot i'm using this because it's fastest way in my opinion. Rooting takes max 5 minutes. As for the "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" i have the same problem mate but you can root using UnlockRoot anyway While rooting shut down your anti virus

How to unlock bootloader on your 'Sony Xperia E C1504/C1505' // Bootloop fix!

Hello!
Today I am gonna teach you how to unlock (and relock) your bootloader. Also fixing bootloop.
Disclaimer! Proceed at your own risk! I am not responsible if anything happens to your phone. Although if you follow every step carefully, you won't have any problems. Unlocking bootloader WILL void your warranty, but you can relock it, so it's under warranty again. Also back up your data!
So lets first talk a little bit, what bootloader is and what a bootloop is. Bootloader is required for some mods like CWM, custom ROMs and so on. Bootloop is if you have unlocked your bootloader, and try to boot your phone, but the booting animation will start to replay, so you basically can't boot up your phone.
Make sure USB Debugging and Unknown Sources are enabled.
But lets get to unlocking the bootloader, shall we.
First, on your phone open Dialer. Type *#*#7378423#*#* to acces the Service Menu. Select Service info, then Configuration, and look for Rooting Status. If Bootloader Status says Yes, then you can unlock your bootloader, if not, stop right now!
Now take a piece of paper, and write down your IMEI - you are gonna need it later to get the bootloader unlock key.
Nextly, download and install Flashtool.
Once installed, go to this site. Fill in the information, and you should recieve a bootloader unlock key onto your eMail.
Now open Flashtool. Click the BLU icon. Then unplug your device, turn it off, hold down the volume up key and then connect your phone to your PC via USB cable. (This is Fastboot Mode)
Once you have done that, you should be promoted with a screen asking for your bootloader unlock key. Type it in and click Unlock and your bootloader should be unlocked now.
To relock, repeat the process of unlocking (click on BLU, connect in fastboot mode, and so on) but this time you will get an option to Relock. Click on it and your bootloader will be locked.
Now, continue reading if facing bootloop, like I did. It's common on our devices to face bootloop, but you can probably come out of it.
After unlocking, try to boot up your device. If not able to boot up, take out your battery. Connect your phone to the PC in Fastboot Mode.
Now relock bootloder. Boot back to Fastboot Mode and unlock it again.
Now flash Xperia E's Stock Full Firmware via Flashmode. Wait for it to flash. First boot might take a while, but hopefully you don't face bootloop / come out of it.
If this guide helped you, then please click thanks!
Any questions? Just ask them and I'll answer!

No. Because your DRM key cannot be recovered since you unlocked your bootloader.

The phone doesn't need to only show YES or NOT.
It can also be ALLOWED or NOT ALLOWED.... which is practictly the same thing dont you think?
For sony devices bootloader can only be unlocked this way

I had tons of problems with this, I thought all was lost. I have win 8.1 x64 and assumed it was a driver problem and so did the unsigned driver install in windows safe mode. No dice, flashtool continued to be unable to unlock. What worked for me was re-submitting my code to sony, I got a totally different unlock code and then it worked through flashtool! Maybe give that a try? Fingers crossed!!
