Hey, so today I rooted my phone using the flashtool and the toolkit, I did everything perfectly and when.i tried installing the custom.rom.through aroma installer..it displayed a message that yhe phone will be rebooted..but the phone got stuck on the sony logo..and now somehow by yhe help of one of ur developers I got the customised uk lt18i stock rom and flashed it on my phone using the flashtool. First I had a .587 kernel and now its 4.1.A.0.562..and now it seems that the root has been removed and there's no cwm now..so can u guys please help me witg my situation..n kinda bored with this stock rom and I want a fairly tweaked and customised ROM.Thanks in Advance and btw I forgot to mention that I am a total NOOB!
I got a Xperia J for my son.
In first the phone was easy to use.
Now it is as slow as a phone of 4 years old.
I am looking for a rom that makes the phone faster and maby pretyer to look at.
If i am looking in the sections of the roms i don't know with one i must pick.This because i never flashed a phone before.
That means i don't know if i can go into recovery right away. Maby i must do something before i can do that??
Can someone help me by telling me how to flash my phone with a new rom and off course with rom to choose.
This because i don't know with one.Not every rom is compatible with the J.

1. Factory reset + clear all
2. Just do root
3. Boost my xperia + pimp my rom
Do this 3 first. If still slow, then unlock bootloader and find rom.

You can use unlockroot, or ishuaji_root, or 360
shouji root. Only unlockroot is in english, the others are in chinese. You can also just search inside xda for the other method.

Before you flash a custom Rom I would like to recommend that you try this and see how it works : https://www.box.com/s/6oe7hg5yfweb642ovk86 . Just install it, place the phone on a flat and stable surface( like a table) and calibrate.
It worked like magic for me. I had serious problems with the lag and after I tried this little apk everything works flawless. I don't even recognize my J.

It's a simple touch screen calibration app.
Try it and see if it's what you are looking for.
It doesnt work a lot on my J.
So i think i must install a custom rom.
But with one is simpel to install?
I have NEVER done a root of flash a rom.
If someone can tell me or hase a howto please let me know.
Also if you know what a good working rom (without bugs) is , also let me know!
I'm also a newbie,but in Sony phones recovery does not come pre installed.you will have to install CWM for that..since xperia j is an old model,there would be many options for you...think of rooting and installing clock workmod(CWM).and from there u can do something...

I bought an Xperia L last week, and I was looking by the "ThundZap" Kernel that is in Original Development section, and I want to install it in my new Xperia... But I don't have idea how, and I dont know if THIS KERNEL, its for STOCK ROM...
I had an Xperia X8, with Root, custom Kernels and ROM, but I dont have idea if its the same for the Xperia L.
Maybe could help me a little in this new little world for me!

Hey guys, I'm a newbie when it comes to this kind of thing I.e using flashtool however, I've used it in the past with no problems well, no major problems that affect software. Yesterday, I decided to change the software on my Xperia Z1 because it seemed to be hiccuping and just not really performing well but when I managed to unlock the bootloade,root it then flash a 4.2.2 ftf file on it, I've lost mobile service. Could you please help me? Anything is appreciated. Like I said, I'm a beginner so please be as simple as possible.

P.s I think I messed something else up yesterday when trying to fix this issue - I changed carrier to US or something like that in phone settings so I know I'm Fd. I'm gonna have to flash a new rom but don't want the same issue occurring.

Hey guys like in the title ive a big problem. i used some nougat roms for xperia z3 but wasnt convinced by them so i wanted to go back to a MM Rom.
Problem is that no matter what mm rom iam using, iam always stucking in bootloop...
I flashed this Kernel ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/kernel-advanced-stock-kernel-t3345880 ). Did all kind of wipes etc.
Any Idea what could help me or fix that bootloops? Bootloop after Sony at the Xperia sign.
