Nigeria’s biggest Online Shopping company (Jumia and konga) were most Nigerian’s get their latest Gadget from also have not embraced the magnificent google glass product cos as at Last month I planned purchasing the gadget from their website but was unable to get the product.
So I Decide purchasing the gadget from Slot. Getting there, I ask the sale personnel if Google glass is on sale? she said “No”. I wonder why and left disappointed.
I became sad and ask myself if jumia, konga and slot have still not seen the bright side of the product “Google Glass” or are theon selective to the product to sell?

Hi I wanted to cover a few things such as:
- which sites in your region (Europe, America, etc.) do you recommed to buy phones?
- why and how do some online retailers sell just a phone and maybe a wall charger...where do they get the phones and where does the rest of retail contents go?
- would you say that generally speaking, if a price seems a bit too cheap on a phone (e.g. €50/$50 cheaper than others) then you have to be careful online?
- have you ever bought a phone on eBay, expansys or Amazon? How did that purchase go?
- any advice on detecting a reputable/scam seller/phone?
I hope that different people can pick up a few tips here about phones online etc.
For me, I bought a phone online a few years ago, turned out to be a dodgy imitation from China. Since then I've been extra cautious and learned a lot about how that works from experienced eBay members. I've since purchased only in retail stores. Now, I'm in the market for a new phone :victory: and have been browsing online. So many sellers online don't tell you much about the product, and to some degree, if you don't ask or it's not specified, you could get screwed over.
in the USA, i usually shop at newegg or tigerdirect. Best places for me to shop at, and good shipping too. Th.e sites give you a wide variety of items to buy, and sometimes give you deals of the days and bundles. Check them out.

I was at best buy today during my lunch break and was playing with the new Windows PC.
A girl about 14 or 15 was asking the associate about the surface. She did not know the name
but was able to describe the commercials, she seemed really excited about it.
The associate told her that they were not sold in retail and had to be ordered from Microsoft.
The girls mom stepped in and said never mind we will just get an ipad.
I realize Microsoft is selling out online but without a retail presence they are going to have a hard time.
There ad had this girl excited enough to want one over the ipad yet was relegated to getting an ipad
because you cannot go to a store to use and buy one.
Hopefully Microsoft gets the surface into stores quickly as I really want this system to be successful and drive
developer support for RT.
Surface is available in Microsoft retail stores (click for directory).
I believe you will see them show up in Best Buy and others stores probably in the December timeframe. My guess is also though that MS is treading carefully not to compete too heavily with Samsung and HTC, who already have a strong presence at these big box retailers.

Hey
Has anyone in the UK ordered a Chinese phone/tech that comes via EU post Brexit?
I often get phones and tech in general from the likes of eglobal, AliExpress, Banggood as it's so much cheaper. I've always had a good experience buying grey market.
But I'm reading lots of stories about online shoppers getting hit hit with VAT/tariffs/fees when buying online.
Banggood show shipping via EU priority line, which is via their EU warehouse, I'm eying up a new tablet but don't want to get hit with a bill for 50% of the value.
I've searched online but it gets ridiculously complex very quickly and she's indeed look like we'd now have to pay. Is this the end of cheap tech for us?
