Always Bootloader Mode At Startup. - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone was bricked due to OTA update.
Then i reflashed it via RSD and using latest stock kitkat firmware.
Phone is working great , but when I switch it off and then start it ,
it always goes to bootloader mode and I have to use three button combination ( Vol up , down and power button ) for boot start up menu
and select normal boot to make it work again.
Any way to make normal boot up as default because it always goes to bootloader mode when I start my device.
Droid Razr Maxx HD
Lastest Kitkat Firmware.
Thank You.

What does it say when it's it in BL mode? Are you getting a sticky-bit or flash failure message?

Have you modified the sbf xml before flashing? Have you tried to factory reset after flashing? Try to download again the original sbf and reflash it.

Tell me I've not bricked my Xoom!!!

I've just tried to root my wifi only Xoom using the 1 click method, but didn't see there was a tab for wifi only & a 3G tab. I went through the options using the 3G options.
Now my Xoom's stuck at the red Motorola screen & won't go any further.
Are there any threads to reverse my balls up?? I've had a look but can't see anything
Please tell me I've not bricked it?!?
tell me why you posted this in the wrong section
I could tell you that it's not bricked...but then I might be lying.
Moved to Q&A. This is not development.
You will need to adb and flash recovery then flash the rom again.

Please let us poor souls know how you did it!!! I am stuck with the same problem - the screen freezes with the Motorola logo and the tablet wouldn't boot up!
For those still having issues, try going into fastboot and flashing the stock images.
You can access fastboot by restarting your xoom (power and vol up) and then once the red M comes up, tap the volume down key around a second later. You have a decent window of opportunity to press the key. This should take you to the bootloader. Once in there, use the volume down key to enter fastboot.
From fastboot you can either flash a custom recovery then from the recover install the BRD 3.1 rooted update, or you can just use the fastboot flash command to flash each partition back to stock.
Good luck.

Thanks . I have now installed custom recovery (ClockworkMod 3.0.2.8) but where do I get the rooted or stock ROM from? I suppose it has to be in a *.zip format.

Cant flash new recovery..

Hey guys,
i have a rooted A700 with the 2. method of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727105 . Now i want to install JB, but normal update wont work because of rooting the device, since then i am forced to use CWM. I tried the CWM-based Recovery 6.0.1.4 but getting error "FAILED (remote: (00120000))" when i flash it via fastboot. Note Bootloader is unlocked!
I then tried to flash the stock-recovery, because i thought the rooting might have overwritten something, but i get the same error.. i searched for the code, but didnt find anything which could lead me in a direction to search for the origin of the problem..
Hope any of you guys can help me..
hellooooooooo well.....i ll try to help u:
1) Download the CWM 6.0.1.5 version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791165)
2) Get the tablet into the fastboot mode (Vol - & PWR....and then cycle the rotation lock)
2) Reflash the CWM (command: fastboot flash recovery <archive.img>
3) Download the JB Rom (recommend: GB Version or Nightly Version)
4) Root the tablet with a JB Root.....NOT A ICS ROOT
I think u dont ve problems with the bootloader then u dont ve to reflash that product.
Tell me.....

Sometimes, as experience with flashboot and NVFlash, we either try a different PC, or a different USB port. Even an improper USB cable can mess things up. Personally, I use my HTC cable for both the 501 and 701.
still not working?
Didnt try cwm mod again since my jelly bean update worked with the stock French ROM.
ok.....did u root it???

how can i get the fastboot mode? I press power + vol down to start my tablet, but it seems only go to recovery mode.
To get the fasboot mode: Vol - & PWR, wait the short vibrate and then CYCLE THE ROTATION LOCK.
Look the screen, if u have the line: ......USB Fastboot mode......DONE (or something like that)
Use the fastboot command now and then use the command adb reboot to "reboot" again ur tablet.

I try to switch on and off repeatedly the rotation lock after the vibrate but still cannot see the line "...USB Fastboot mode..." instead it directly boot to the normal screen.
ROTATION LOCK is the button next to the Vol + key, right?
Thanks
the rotation lock is like a "switch"....
try this:
1) push the Vol - and keep ur finger there.
2) turn on ur tablet
3) wait the vibrate and cycle the rotation lock but WHILE your finger still at the VOL -
Sorry for my bad english.....

stickybit factory_fastboot.
I never had a bad flash. I run cm10.1, but gps was not working someone said flashing stock then reflash cm10.1
So i used that stupid RSD LITE to flahs factory, all i did was fix the xml and erase the recovery flash. It worked fine the phone booted... Then I reflashed cm10.1 which works? Is there an oem command to kill the sticky bit?
I have tha solution!

Need Help. Nexus 5 says google when trying to turn on

I was trying to get the latest twrp '2.8.7.2'. I downloaded it and flashed the img to recovery and nothing seemed to happen so I tried flashing it to boot then I tried to reboot the system. Now when I try to turn it on I get stuck on the Google like it is turning but it just gets stuck. I tried Charging it now when I charge it I get stuck on the battery logo. When I try booting it Booting it into recovery(twrp) I get a black screen. I can tell the Screen is on because of the dim glow it gives off but it is not doing anything. Note: I am some what of a noob when it comes to this stuff, My nexus 5 was running Marshmallow, and I was running the Xtra smooth rom (it is very close to stock). Plz help. I have also just found out that the reason im getting the bootloop is I flashed the wrong version of TWRP need a fix PLZ HELP.

All you have to do is boot into your bootloader (Power + Volume Up + Volume Down at the same time) and flash the stock recovery.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Chances are you flashed an incorrect version of TWRP meant for another phone hence the boot loop.

Can you please explain to me exactly what to do. thank you. also my bootloader is unlocked. I also can get to fastboot so what is the diffrence between bootloader and fastboot.
Hold down the volume +, volume -, and power button. You'll be taken to a screen with the word START at the top. Now, connect the phone to your Windows computer using the USB cable, open a command prompt and type "fastboot flash recovery nameof twrpfile.img", press the enter key, use the volume button to select recovery, use the power button to enter recovery, press the power button, press volume + button, and you should enter TWRP.
Thank you but I do not own a windows computer
Then look up the respective commands. You flashed twrp over your kernel, you need to flash a proper boot.img (kernel) if you want the phone to boot. Fastboot is ran through bootloader. Flash the proper kernel in bootloader using fastboot.

USB debugging is required for adb commands. With fastboot mode, debugging isn't necessary.

PLEASE HELP! Bricked Honor 8

Hi,
I was trying to flash TWRP, but now I am stuck with flashing TWRP logo after rebooting or powering the phone on.
I am unable to get to the fastboot.
STEPS I did before brick:
1. unlocked OEM via official way
2. flashed TWRP
3. after that my phone was reset however most of the apps was missing, I was trying to do factory reset once again but it failed with the message "Data partition was heavily damaged"
4. I re-locked EOM
5. brick as mentioned above
Please help, I have the phone only two weeks and I have no idea how to fix this without fastboot.
Thank you.

Sounds like you flashed the 3030 version of TWRP. Download the 3020 version and put it in your fastboot folder. Plug in the USB to PC
Hold power and volume up untill the phone reboots. While it's still off immediately change to power and volume down and hold till it goes into fastboot (bootloader)
Now fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
With the 3020 version.
Unplug the USB and hold power and volume up until it says the phone is booting.. let go and TWRP will load.
Go to Wipe / format data / type yes
Reboot to system and your all set

So I've tried that but the phone is still booting to recovery (flashing TWRP logo) no matter what.
Basically the phone is always on now because if hold the power button (or any other combination) for a few second it will just reboot back.
I have an access only to ADB, but I am not able to boot to bootloader at all, it seems the bootloader is damaged somehow.
Also that warning about unlocked OEM doesn't have that text saying "hold volume up to boot to recovery" etc. like before brick.
Hi there,
Try using the Huawei Multi Tool with the Unbrick option : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/tool-huawei-multi-tool-team-mt-t3523923
Speaking from experience, this little fellow helped me recover my phone when I bricked it ON DAY ONE after failed root attempt... (Derp)
Let me know if it helped you
(Leave a thanks if it did )
EDIT : This tool is also useful if you want to get lazy whilst rooting. I use it constantly when flashing diffrent bits and pieces
Clearly follow My steps To unbrick and get normal device ::
Step 1 ::
Download the full firmware of your device.
Step 2 :
make sure that your bootloader is in unlocking state
Follow the video blindly ::: https://youtu.be/OMKDnBqbi3U?list=PL...eT9J26lkefvVkK
don't panic of mobile.
Step 3 :: done ..enjoy u did it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you bricked on nougat then follow the below steps
step one :::
download the downgrade package to mm .
then extract the zip and open the update.app using HuaweiUpdateextrator in that select recovery and extract
1.now, boot your device into fastboot and flash the recovery (Optional)(try this if it said incompatible version on recovery)
2. on your sd card and make a folder "dload" . and copy the update.app which we have extracted earlier
3.the switch off the device and press all three buttons you will be reboot into recovery and done . you device will be okey

Booting to the bootloader is just a timing issue
Phone must be hooked to PC with USB
And volume up and power till it goes black
Then immediately volume down and power and Hold untill the bootloader loads
Keep trying until you get it

I've tried that, but I am still stuck as that tool is using fastboot as every other tool to flash .img files.
Thank you for the tip though.
Plug phone into computer with USB, then hold down power + volume down until it eventually boots into bootloader. I had the same scenario as you and that's how I got into the bootloader. You can flash either a good TWRP or the stock recovery, either one will work.
