So Google Play music v 5.6.1617P have redesigned Play Music widget, but I didn't really like it because it didn't look good on my Nexus's home screen.
I have 2 widgets on my default home screen: Play Music and Sound search. Sound search had original look and play music was completely white...:

I thought I should modify Google Sound Search widget, so that both would look good together.

This is modified version of GoogleEars.apk (version 1.1.12)
This widget has been modified using FJ-apktools. This widget is also redesigned so this won't disappear from your device, if this is blocked in your country.
If you can't install this, then you'll need root to override this with the original one. Which is not good for phones with stock fw which still gets OTA updates.
I know this is not 100% perfect. I'm not any photo designer and also because this widget is close sourced, it is difficult to modify this correctly, but if you like this then please say thanks or click thanks button.
Can you modify v1.1.8 from the play store to look like this? Your version does not work with Android 5.0 Lollipop and I really like the flat white theme you have here because it matches 5.0 well.

Hey, is there a possibility to get the original widget as an *.apk aswell? Since the widgets appearance has changed under Android 6.

First off, I did NOT port this app myself, the_fish did and jubeh modded it. i just made the widget a little more "me" :]
This should work on any 2.1 rom without sense, I use it on cm5.0.8-DS
What I DID do though was make the widget transparent to make it look more... beautiful in my opinion. The original thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679707&highlight=htc+music
there you will find the original htc music app without the transparent widget.
it is in an ZIP format that can be flashed to the system with a recovery, or you can unzip it and install the APK with a file manager etc.

I will be editing the widget more in the near future!
as far as I know, the buttons on headphones and bluetooth does not affect this app, it's been this way since it was first ported. If anyone has a fix for this, please enlighten me
other then that, that's the only bug I've run into.
If the_fish or jubeh does not want me posting this, please notify me asap and I'll remove it.
My reason for posting this in a new thread was because I plan on taking the HTC music widget a step farther, and truly beautifying it, such as how the original music mod is.
EDIT: I have now just updated the widget even farther, it is now a 2x4 widget.

I noticed that you can have the best of both worlds..... Launcher pro with the Blur app drawer. You may already know this, but it was new to me and I thought I would share. All the details are in the vid.

Where did you get that lock screen? Is that an app that replaces it or did you theme the framework apk to look like that???

BTW, this works for ADW as well. I just tried it.
I got this problem where if I try to add shortcuts to my screens (any of them) Launcher Pro crashes... (using the latest unlocked version)
Running a rooted and deodexed 2.3.3 if it makes a difference, at any rate I got around that by long pressing the screen and adding shortcuts through that menu...
Also had trouble finding the "default" app drawer icon so I took a screenshot and cropped it via photoshop...

Hi all!
I have created a new theme called 'Stockify' for EMUI4+ devices. It has a few interesting things...
Where possible all icons are replaced by their stock Android equivalent
Other icons are replaced with fully licenced icons from icons8
The theme is deployed via the Play Store - you will be automatically notified of updates and it will take you through the install and update process
The install / update tool will be open source shortly for all EMUI theme developers
The theme is currently in Beta, I will be stockifying a lot more, but you can have a play now!

Hi @paulobrien thanks for the theme. I notice when I change my launcher to nova, the icons revert back to stock. Is this behaviour expected?

fb changed the code so it's now hardcoded. guess they didn't want people to use custom colors aside from what they gave us. bummer
