Hello dear fellow smartphone, come through the forum, to share what I discovered.
Well, digging on the internet, find the code *#*#4636#*#*, which opens the menu information of our device, it has the "Phone Information" option on it you will find the option "Set preferred network type:"menu that has the option of selecting the LTE, I've been checking and the CHIPSET Xperia L has support 4G, but our file Baseband does not have the frequency used in XL.
I've been researching and have come a model of the HTC One SV and XV has the same chipset and native support for 4G, what I have is the door "Modem.sin" file from HTC, or other device that has the same chip, for our Xperia, so adding the frequencies used to operate the 4G.
I've been also seeing some of our file system, and some mentions LTE, to activate options.
Would like help for someone with experience of the developer, to can this porting this file and making it work in our unit.
All help is welcome!
Wow is 4G really possible on our xperia L. :what:

@vinicius.matos Bro I see you have done some research, but I would like you to go here : http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)
And see under Snapdragon S4>Plus>MSM8230 , here its mentioned that it has no LTE modem and just next to it is MSM8930 which is there is 4G Htc One SV that has LTE modem.
Also the normal Htc one SV has MSM8230.

Exactly, Xperia L have MSM8230 SoC on MSM8930 Board, thats why some benchmarks says that we have MSM8930 processor. MSM8230 is smiliar to MSM8930 except LTE. Sorry if someone feel dissapointment

Are you not using the snapdragon? If you are then from your statement it sounds like the phone is not supported.

The evos processor is a snapdragon. Unless you are using a different mobile, then your topic should be in another location..
Sorry.
just wondering? can someone send that to me?
The HTC Desire C (Golf) was just announced by HTC and T-Mobile in the United Kingdom, and we’ve just been handed this screenshot of another new HTC device, the Ville C. Our source tells us this is basically a cheaper version of the HTC One S. The Ville C is purportedly an “ultra slim” device, though we aren’t sure of its exact measurements. It ships with Android 4.0, and possibly with Sense 4.5 (as seen in the document above). We were expecting Sense 4.0, but it seems that Sense 4.5 is already in the works.
HTC’s Ville C specifications sheet says the device will sport a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display, 16GB of internal memory, and 1GB of RAM. The device will also be equipped with the Qualcomm dual-core MSM8260 S3 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It’s listed at 1.7GHz, but our source informs us this is a typo. Along with a plethora of other mid-range specs, the device will have the same 8-megapixel camera sensor found on the One S. Of course this means it will have 1080p video recording ability. Up front, the Ville C also houses a VGA front-facing camera. On top of all that, the device will have a 1,650 mAh battery. We aren’t sure if it’s removable, but we have a feeling it won’t be.

Looks like Sense 4.5 is on its way.
What am I missing?
Other than the CPU speed, anything else will make it a cheaper version?
How can only a slower CPU make this a budget version of the regular 1s? Maybe this could be a branded version for some carriers

Or maybe it's just - possibly - good marketing.
Well. Looks like focus-on-quality-over-quantity did not work for them.

Ah that's what I've missed, the source says: 'it is also running a... ' so I thought it would have been the same as a regular 1S

That "A" seems to confuse lot of people...
HTC Canada English site list the One S with MSM8260A (S4) and the French one made a typo and list it as MSM8260 (S3). Go figure xD

And, the source for this article says the "1.7ghz MSM8260" is a typo, and it is supposed to read 1.2ghz.
On that note, couldn't the typo also mean someone missed the "A", and this is an older description of the One S?

There is a lot of possibilities with Typos... xD
In same time, Sense 3.5 wasn't a version running on the top line of phones at first but on the then last gen single core HTC Rhyme. Today the S3 found in the Sensation and Co can be considered as last gen as well.
So Sony made a bang today and announced the Xperia Tipo and Tipo dual and also a phone named Xperia Miro(that doesn't actually matter)
Here is the link to it
So now the question is: Does that 800mhz cpu is armv6 or armv7? If it's v6 I think it'll be a great step forward in ICS development

Other than battery, CPU, and RAM, seems basically like the X8. If MSM7227A is ARMv6, practical a straight port of libs is possible I think...

Yeah I was think that aswell, seeing as it's already underclocked you should be able to overclock it quite high.

Bootloader would be a piece of cake to unlock, just do it offically through Sony, and providing they release the Kernel source quickly like HTC have with One series should be plain sailing \o/

if you can ask to the seller to send you a photo of the bottom of the box it is written z520 for s4 and z570 for s3 (c2).only way that I can think if you can't open the box, power app phone and run app to check cpu frequencies

Correction : The s3 is labelled z560e. But as I have heard that info is not on the box always.
Usually retailers are obliged to turn devices on if you demand. And from there you only need to use your Google account to download quadrant and check from system information if: MHz is around 1500 you have s4 if MHz is around 1700 it's s3. After that if you don't buy it ask them to do factory reset.

Hi there,
Can someone tell me the 3G speed of HTC One S C2? Because when I search in Google it displays Speeds upto 14mbps for One S(intl version) but it is no where mentioned about the S3 processor speed. They inform just like HSDPA but no mention of exact speeds. Sorry for asking such noob question though

internet speed does not depends on processor but on network. (as per my knowledge)
I think the max speed that the VilleC2 can get is HSPA+ 21mbps, and the Ville is 42mbps (although the VilleC2 may be 42mbps aswell). I found on HSPA+ that the speed is more than adequate, rivalling my friends iPhone 5 on LTE.
Oh thanks buddy I thought my Ville C2 would be a mere 7.2mbps but thank god u gave a great info :thumbup:

Actually my brother is using HTC butterfly and he gets a minimum speed of 5 to 6 Mbps on Airtel Network in India, whereas i too use the same network from same place but i could clock only 2 to 2.5 Mbps on my HTC One S C2 (Courtesy: Speedtest mobile app). So will it make any difference if its a LTE band handset like Butterfly and Non LTE band handset like my HTC One S C2???
