I want to say thank you so very much for the INFO. I have an AT&T LG E980 cell, I left my cell plugged in on the charger because the Download said not to unplug until the download is completed, It was plugged up past 12hrs, so I unplugged it fear of overcharging, After a couple of hours, I began pressing the Volume down+Home+power buttons simultaneously and the Factory Rest Page appear, but when I press the power button to confirm the action this Code popped up:
18370
18370 Source :Boot Error! Cause boot certification verify
18370
18370
Below it every time I repeat the steps. It want power up without being plugged -up. OMG!!! What Next?:crying:

Hiya,
I just got a used G Slate from a buddy of mine who got a new tablet. There was nothing wrong with it but suddenly it just started bootlooping on him. All it does is the little green android guy jets off the screen and the T-mobile G Slate logo comes on the screen with the little T-mobile jingle. Stays on the screen for about a minute then starts all over again.
I've hit the reset button while holding the pwr button: The LG logo appears and then it starts it's bootloop.
I've held down the reset button: The LG logo appears and then it starts it's bootloop.
I've held the pwr button and the up volume button (right side-I think it's up): after about 5 seconds of holding the volume button it give me this... "Entering LG MDP Mode" in yellow letters at the top left hand corner of the screen, and in the center of the screen in white letters it says... ""Do Not Power Down downloading now.."
I went to bed last night with that screen on (with the charger plugged in) and it was like that when I woke this morning.
I've held down the up volume button and hit the reset button: gave me the same as above.
I've held down both sides of the volume button and then hit the reset button: That turned the screen off and doesn't come back on until I hit the reset button. Then it goes back into bootloop.
pwr+reset = bootloop
pwr+ down volume+reset = bootloop
pwr+up volume+reset = MDP mode
down volume+reset = bootloop
up volume+reset = MDP mode
up+down volume = screen off
I've set up ADB on my computer and I'm able to see the tablet while it's bootlooping, but not when the screen is off or when it's "entering LG MDP mode".
I've visited multiple sites but none that I've found deal with a perpetual bootloop.

In the last link I give, it does show a bootloop, but that person says it only happens every once in a while. With mine, if it has power on the battery it bootloops. No matter what.
Any suggestions or answers you awesome folks out there can think of that I haven't looked at yet?
I am trying to restore the phone using a video on youtube: "How to Unbrick or Restore the LG G2 ATT Version"
The only problem is that after the phone was bricked it stays on. If I hold the power button on the power button until it turns off, it immediately reboots to the LG logo for 2 seconds and then it goes to a dark screen that is lit---thus the phone is clearly on but there is no image.
So I cannot boot the phone into download mode for this reason. For download mode, the phone must be off.
Help anyone?

HOld the power button, as soon as it turns off try the hard-key buttons for downlode mode, it worked for me. I faced the similar issue. if not just hold the downlode mode button while it is on, it should work.
"So I cannot boot the phone into download mode for this reason. For download mode, the phone must be off."
<dwight shrute voice> FALSE
this is what i do
hold vol up and power till screen turns off
immediately release and hold until LG logo
immediately release and hold and hold
ive done it. so has everyone else here whos needed too. stop giving up and watching other people do it dumb. have an original thought. genuine effort. just keep holing buttons you know? like wtf that seems obvious to me. no offence or anything but damn. trial and error is like kindergarten.
My Nexus 5 randomly started to lock and unlock itself, repeatedly. The screen kept flashing on and off and then it rebooted, or tried to. It came up with the google logo and then turned off. If I press vol-down and power, it goes into fast boot but then automatically goes to the google logo as if I pressed the power button to select "Start". Any help is appreciated as my phone is now basically a paperweight.
Take it apart and replace the power button with a new one ?
Everytime I plug it into a charger it says is " this phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked." And every time I press the power and volume button it goes to a black screen asking to boot in normal or recovery mode but none of them work it goes back to the white screen.
Is it hard bricked?
I have a Lg G Pro 2. Few days back it got bricked by its own( a crazy fact). That time it was showing QHSUSB_BULK. I figured it out as 9006. Took the phone to a local service shop. Today I got it back and found that nothing had happened to the phone, except worse. Now it is not detected by PC, only green light blinks for some time if tried to power on. And then everything is black and cold as death.
I think it have been flashed with wrong ROM. Anybody here can guide me with the test points of Lg G Pro 2 (D838 F350) ? So that I can force it to QHSUSB_BULK ? Or any step by step advice to get it up ?
I am in real need of assistance, and thanks in advance for any sort of help. Best Regards.
I would like to mention that the phone indicator blinks for sometime if I try to power it on, as it does on boot, but nothing else is there. No recognition by PC, no presence in Device Manager. Blinks for sometime, stops, again starts blinking... and this goes on at regular short intervals. The area around the camera gets warm after sometime. Everything loops till I pull off battery.
Now, am I missing something ? Is the problem not as deadly as I am thinking ? Is it soft bricked ?
Hi, I not sure how it got bricked I never brick LG device.
Normally if anything happen we try pull battery out and put it back in, try then to turn the phone on.
Have you try connect to to pc with USB cable, one end of USB connnect to pc and other end connect to the phone. Then try press Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down, this is to try to get into phone download mode. If you can get into download mode you can flash the kdz file to make it useable again.
Or without the USB cable we want to get to factory reset mode by use hardware method try press:
- Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down
- If you see LG logo come up release the buttons you press above 1-2 second
- Press again Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down
- Until it show and ask to use volume up/down button to select choice, say yes
Caution factory reset will delete all data on the phone and reset it as when you bought it new.
- Again it will ask for factory reset, use Volume up/down to choose and select yes for factory reset
turn on the phone and when light is blink press volume up or down button for some time and see if it it is detected as usbhulq?
