Bose htc - Verizon HTC One (M8)

This would be pretty sweet if it happens. Just wanted to share what I found Bose may be HTC's next audio partner, will try and minimize bezel on the next One
http://androidspin.com/2014/08/06/bose-may-htcs-next-audio-partner-will-try-minimize-bezel-next-one/

That would be pretty cool as I would like a bit more screen but I do love the boom speakers they are a deal breaker for me love them. I myself would like to see a new htc max with the 2.5 processor and not that under powered 1.7 they put in it what a mistake that was... If the new nexus 10 is made by htc and has boom speakers and an sd card slot they will have a purchase from me.

A Nexus with a microSD slot? It would be a first and have me very surprised.... Google seems to be on a mission to kill external cards.

[Question] Buying a Sensation XE

Hi all!
I've preordered a Galaxy Nexus and currently I'm putting some serious thoughts into canceling it and get a Sensation XE instead for several reasons.
and I'm just curious if anyone knows if this
https://negrielectronics.com/htc-sensation-xe-unlocked.html
will work on T-Mobile?
And I wanna hear some thoughts about whether I should switch to Sensation XE or not? What do you guys love about the Sensation?
I personally looooove HTC products and Sense. But I wanna hear other opinions
it should work, as T-Mobile's bands are listed on the phone's info page. I really like that phone but I settled for the Sensation 4G
Simply because of htc sense!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Im in love with the g nexus screen!
over there you guys on verizon got choice of rezound which is my choice of phone atm as it has 720P screen and 1GB RAM which senny lacks.
I dont like samsung build quality and lack of SD card slot is deal breaker for me so Im going for XE also.
i really like my sensation 4G im useing coredroid 2.6 xe and its awsome and from a factory stand point it was very nice and i love the feeel of the phone it feels solid to me i would recomend the sensation a big plus it takes great pics and vids plus the qhd screen is nice
I am absolutely in love with the Galaxy Nexus screen and a few other things, but I will be missing sense
Things like 720p Screen, ICS (which will be ported soon), NFC, thinness, and 4.65' are the main attraction of GNexus for me,
But Sensation XE will have a removable storage, higher MP camera (I know it doesn't necessarily mean better), Beats, Sense, TOUGH DECISION!
and @Nekromantik I will be importing it and using it with T-mobile actually. Rezound would be ideal if I were on verizon, but they don't have the gsm unlocked version

Gnex looks to have a better camera then Senny but I think the Amaze and Rezound should have similar performing cameras. Both Rezound and Amaze are similar apart from Rezound has 720P screen,
T-mobile has amaze so I would go for that over Senny.

I thought the same thing. You are better off saving your money if you are going to get a Sensation, and just getting the normal Sensation 4G and spending the money you saved on a better pair of earbuds.
Then you can just put a custom rom on with all the benefits of the XE.
NOOOOOO!
I bought the Sesation and a week later, BAMMMM, Sensation XE and XL are out. HTC are acting stupid. They constantlyrelease a new phone!

they are being stupid outside of the US.
they re release Sensation with gimmick beats, stock clocked cpu and bigger battery and call it a new phone. Then XL single core phone without sd card.
In the US they release 2 phones with dual core and 1GB RAM and then one with 720P display. Rest of world gets screwed while US gets new hardware.

first phone i had arrived dented , second was ok i decided to keep it untill i had a explosion of dust under screen. Returned it and canceled upgrade phone was ok to use however to be very honest it wasent much faster then my desire and i dident want to get caught in a endless loops with htc of swapping phones becouse of dust.
Differnce between my first and second phone was shocking second phone colours looked fine but bad viewing angles, first phone washed colours even worse viewing angle. Second phone started creaking becouse of back cover honestly id stick with galaxy nexus upgrade which is what im looking at next.

Any good?

Currently using a google nexus S, which I live but I am thinking about going in for a HTC Sensation XE. Is it as good as what Im hearing? Are The beats ear buds as good as everyone says they are?? Watched a couple of youtube videos and I like the look at this device. Whats the build quality like? The last HTC device I owned was the desire which I thought was ok. Im hoping the Sensation XE is a better device. How easy is it to root??? The Nexus S is very easy both to root and install custom roms. Thanks in advance guys, any help with this, will, as always, be very much appreciated

I dont have XE, but a regular. Guess its the same build. Solid well built and compact. In other words great.
The Beats earbuds are crap IMO, dont buy in to hype. Get some decent Shure buds that are way better.. but by all means they come with the phone so use them til they fall apart. All this beats/HTC circus is just a marketing jimbo but hang on... The Beats mod on the phone is actually very decent with any good quality earbuds. U really sound the difference.
Its not so hard to root the Sensation but not the easiest either. You need to do several steps to get it rooted and flash ready but to me it was a walk in the park.. just takes a little time and patience..
Although its starting to get old i think it works well ok with proper Roms and Kernels, even on ICS...

Had feeling about the dre beats. Its not a great deal. I use Skully Candy ear buds myself. These are good enough for me. I do like messing around with androids, rooting and debranding etc. I might be tempted and buy one. Im going to keep my Google Nexus S as a spare. Thanks for replying Sindroid, you sir are a legend
My brother as a Sensation and loves it. His only and biggest complaint is the terrible battery life. Lol. I still have a Wildfire overclocked to 710MHz with no GPU, I am longing so badly for a newer phone lol

Yes, however, the Sensation does have Sense 3.6 and 4.0 with ICS. If you like Sense than this is a great choice of phone, however, if you're looking for an AOSP experience there is only one rom I know of that is completely working or at least, it seems that way. Bluetooth, etc.

Thanks for the replies guys. Im looking to buy a HTC Sensation which is locked to Orange UK. I can get it unlocked via the internet but will need to install Generic fw. I will take a look at the forums. Definately want this phone next. looks a winner
Need a new battery for my sensation. Badly draining quickly. Only get about half day out of it. I dont want to buy one on ebay as I would rather buy one from a reputable stockist. Wheres the best place guys.
I use an Anker battery myself, and it is very nice. I bought it from Amazon, a seller named Laptopmate I think.

T-Mobile branded version doesn't even come with headphones?

So I was watching Phonedog's Aaron unboxing the T-Mobile version of the HTC One S (linky) and was really surprised to see no headphones inside the box! I'm not talking about Beats, either. I understand they don't want to ship them with Beats (read: they're expensive!).
Come on, T-Mobile/HTC! Not even a crappy set of headphones to talk on the phone while I'm driving or something? How come you cheaped out on us so badly? I, for one, use the cheap headphones my G2 and myTouch 3G came with until they could live no more! I am really, really surprised at this.
Question, if anyone cares to answer: Does the international version come with headphones or just the travel charger?
[/rant]
Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk 2
HTC figured out most people don't buy a phone for headphones (HTC Rezound). No the international does not come with them.
Ear plugs. Standard cheap HTC earplugs was what came with mine. Not unlike in design and cheapness to the ones that came with my Desire two years ago.
You have to be crazy if you think tmobile would do that. Most people I talked to thought it would come with some cheap ibeats. Not from tmobile.
i hoped for some headphones..... my current ones are dying. I am also not looking for anything fancy.
I agree it's lame if they really didn't include anything but I already have like 4 pairs of headphones lying around from previous phones/purchases, including my $9 skull candy ones with a mic which are my favorite, not a bad idea to look into those!
Rock some skull candys and you will be fine.
T-Mobile dosen't include head phones in there phones anymore.

HTC Sense 5 coming

HTC will have a major flagship device hitting Verizon shelves in the fall. It’s said to feature a whopping 5-inch 1080p HD display (a non-PenTile screen), a new chipset that includes a quad-core Krait CPU and an Adreno 320 GPU, HTC Sense 5 and a Scribe pen. Yes, HTC is launching a Galaxy Note competitor.
Details here: http://www.bgr.com/2012/04/26/verizons-summer-fall-2012-smartphone-roadmap/
Nice, I hope we get official Sense 4 by then!
You lost me at 5 inch screen.
This is supposed to be a phone. Something I keep in my pocket comfortably.
The 4.3" screen on the Sensation is pushing the upper limits of what is practical to be carrying around all day every day.
oommmgggg 5" screens are so retarded.
The article is so vague and cloudy that you can stick through it with a finger. Sense 5 four months after Sense 4? In a company whose main asset is the software layer? Sure, sure.
don't bother listening to BGR they just post whatever pops up in their inbox to get pageviews.

lol I agree. And please HTC, allow the battery to be removed on this new device along with allowing us to upgrade the amount of memory. The fact that I cannot do this with the upcoming ONE-X means that I have no interest in that phone (even though I'm tempted by the 4.7 inch screen size).

I agree with this, when I went to the ICS ROMs I got about a 25-30% battery improvement, making it unnecessary to buy a larger battery. The lack of an SD (or XD!) slot is the killer for me. They are not going to put enough "virtual SD" memory in the phone to satisfy me, and I am not into major cloud storage. They are not going to pay my internet bill or put in more damned towers so I can get H+ to sync 32+ gigs of data, and I want my data on my system.
As for Sense 5, meh. They will go through 4.1 and then probably 4.5, 4.6, then maybe 5.0.
hopefully sense 5 will be stripped down even more

Ya non-removable battery and no mircoSD is a no no.
Even the S3 which is just as slim as Tue One X has SD & removable battery.
Perhaps next series would have what ONe series is lacking

Cool underrated features in the One X

So here are some cool features that I love in the one x that aren't much talked about:
Restart Button, completely cleans the phone before rebooting.
The placement of the charging input, I love it when I charge my phone how the charging cable does not interfere with my usage unlike most phones which have the charging input on either the top botton or on the side where it still interferes with your hand.
Sense Widgets, I love the classy look of sense and many of its widgets like its mail and note widgets however its keyboard sucks!!!
Car, I love htc's car app. Its very useful for when on a long trip and it looks very neat.
Audio quality: Even though the international version of the one x has subpar audio quality through its chip, the one x att has one of the best audio chips on the market and sounds really good.
I like the recent apps interface and how you can close them by flicking them up off the screen, reminiscent of the WebOS. Very nice.
swype like text entry is built into the HTC keyboard!

^ is the case with the international version. I have no clue about the s4 though and google was of no help.
Flip the phone while on a phone call --> switched to speaker phone
Flip the phone while ringing --> silences ring
Ring stops when you pick up/move the phone
When phone is in pocket and it rings, the volume goes up to max
Dunno if this is stock ICS or a sense addition, but I really like the DLNA built into the gallery. The first time I streamed 1080p video I had taken with this phone to my TV without any fancy setup was mind blowing.

I thought for sure I saw empirical testing for audio output on the GSMArena site, but for the life of me I just can't seem to find it now. Either I made it up entirely (possible), or they took it down (not sure why), or I'm blind as a bat (also possible). Maybe somebody can dig up that review. I'm almost 100% certain that I saw it on GSMArena - I think they're the only one doing any actual testing of the audio output on phones anyway.

I didn't think it had VVM either, but I found the AT&T app you need to install. It is called AT&T Messages. Its a little "busy" for my liking due to it containing text messages, recent calls and voice messages, but at least there is something.
Hope this helps.
