Tried [ROM] IUNI OS for the OnePlus One? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found this new Chinese ROM at OnePlus forum. It should have great sound, is pretty stable and uses Color Os camera.
Anyone tried it?

I don't know why but every time I hear the word "Chinese" when it comes to development, I immediately run the other way.

Except for the OnePlus One aosp ROM they've released. But I do agree with you, I'll never use Mokee after what they did to see friend of mine.

Now that is not really true. As there are many reasons for not liking the rom. Like me, the reason I don't use them is that they don't use the devices OEM drivers. Which leads to certan things not working 100%. Like weaker bt and WiFi connections. Noice cancellation, and others.
Now let's see what happens. Maybe Samsung didn't make him sign a contract that stops him from using anything he learns while working there when it comes to the devices.
Good things for Androids future, can't wait to see what the next year of Android will bring. I'm guessing big things. Maybe REAL iPhone killers, not just by quantity but by quality.

i concur...
however i must say Moto phones has way better reception than Samsung phones
sad that Moto phones are always locked, and always behind times in everything from software to hardware.
CM6/CM7 and future CM8 or possibly called Samsungen8, is not my thing either.
it's a great ROM, but it lacks a lot of support for features like FM radio, some cameras, some recording functions, etc, etc.
but maybe now that the DEV is actually working directly for Samsung, we might see support for all those missing features in the future?
Congrats! Definitely some interesting news!
I could definitely see him facepalming while pressing enter to flash "SamsungBloatware.zip".

Hahaha and I need a million bucks and want to fly to the moon...
MIUI? Unlikely giving the low level of dev support for the device. Maybe once we get CM9/10 working people will consider...even then..
Also this should not be in development...

MIUI is interesting, but does it really afford any advantages with a tablet? Do you use your 7.7 as a regular phone as well?

Well, I'm no developer, but i did give it a go.
I followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22574965
I couldn't get passed the Samsung boot screen. Tried clearing everything but still failed.
Heart in mouth, i restored my cm9 cwm image.

Have you tried Quicksilver or Zeta - what is so special about MIUI? (I know it's good, but there are other good/better alternatives)

Both of those roms are for 6800 only. I'm using locerras cm9 which is great.
I've been using miui since sgs1 days and still using on my sgs3. Its pretty and more refined looking compared to cm9. No disrespect intended.

I need miui too!!!
MIUI would be nice. +1
https://github.com/MiCode
You are all free to do it.
Now seriously, if no developer is interested on working with it, no developer will work with it, and it won't be ported to the 7.7. Since MIUI has been closed source (despite being basically a fork of CM for a long time), people tend to dislike it. A lot. If you believe it's worth to port it, be aware that you either need to do it yourself OR try to convince some specific developer to do it.
I wouldn't hold my breath, though. Even the much bigger CM10.x has only a couple of developers on our tabs (three, if you count aorth who uses the very similar Tab 7 Plus and builds for the 7.7 occasionally).

[Question] ROM(s) with 4.2-like notification/quick-settings dual pulldown

Does anyone know if there are any ROMs out there with something similar to the notification/quick-settings that will (possibly) be on 4.2, dual pulldown?? I thought I saw one, but can't remember which one, or where I saw it.

Why would you think any rom has this feature? It was just shown off today.

MIUI has it. Here's a shot of the 2.3 version... 4.1 looks very similar.

That is something ENTIRELY different.
I understand that it was just shown off today as a part of 4.2...... I also know that there has been some videos floating around that showed off an early build of this feature, and we have some amazing devs here, just thought someone might have cooked something similar into their ROM.....and yes, I did see one that did, just don't remember which one!!

When the 4.2 source drops, then we'll start to see it integrated into AOSP roms. Until then... probably not going to happen.

Maybe by comunity. Officialy seriously no.
I think ASUS will deliver. The TF300 is already very well equipped (hardware-wise) to run any android 4.x, especially the lighter 4.4. I am really looking forward to it.

It definitely needs something to address the performance problems. Mine is slow when it boots, and unusable when it is updating apps from the Play Store. It sounds like Kit Kat may improve performance. If so, I can see why they may go to the effort.

Most likely by community. Probably not by CM since that fell apart.

Notification sounds in lollipop

Weirdly enough, even though the all have the same names as the predecessors, all of the notification sounds are new on my N9 running 5.0, yet they remain the same on my N5. Anyone else notice the same thing? I really like Titan on my N9 but not so much on the N5.

Well that really sucks but I guess it's to be expected we didn't get everything. I bet the Nexus 6 has those same notifications as your N9. Tbh... it doesn't feel like Lollipop is better than the latest dev preview. In fact I had a lot of lag after installing my apps. Reboot seems to fix it... eh...
Yup. Was a major bummer when going through the settings. WTH man. No biggie though.
Hmm, I guess I could just copy the directory from my N9 and transfer it to the N5. Also sucks that there's only one new ringtone!
