Unlocked 8X from AT&T - LTE in EU - Windows Phone 8x by HTC

Hello, I bought a unlocked version of htc 8x (at&t) wich have LTE. The brand is at&t and windows version is 8.1. How i can set it to have LTE working in my country - Poland?

Probably it wont work due to other LTE frequencies used in USA and in EU.
AFAIK 8X supports LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 while in Poland we use 1800 and 800 is about to be lauched.
##Polish
Raczej nie da rady. Tam w stanach używają LTE na innym paśmie niż my.
Swoją drogą słabo że europejska wersja tego telefonu nie ma LTE wcale...

3g in 850Mhz

any chance of 3g in other frequences?
is software error or the hardware no have support
in brazil i use 850mhz, Vivo operetor
i can buy this device but without 3g in 850Mhz i no will buy
if have chance of the developpers resolv this issue in future, i will buy
The 3G chipset I believe is actually a 3.5G chipset which runs on its own separate dual band (I think 1700/2100 or something around there). As far as I know the hardware doesn't support quad-band 3G and if it does there's no driver that tells the OS to do 3G over standard quad-band.
Not gonna happen with the G1.
Ya 3G is a different frequency. In general T-Mo is 1900 and ATT is 850 (standard gprs 2g networks), but 3G is a total diff frequency as Ron said. Almost everyone uses 2100 with Japan or something being 1700 far a I know.
Oi,
Tommy
Hi,
Unfortunately it won't work. The G1 only supports the 1700mhz and 2100mhz bands, and it is because of the hardware, not the software. There will be handsets with Android and 850mhz 3G support, but as of yet none have been released.
Sorry for the bad news
Tommy
The G1 only supports 1700 and 2100 unfortunately. T-Mobile is the freak network in the freak network country. The US doesn't use normal 2100 bands like Europe and Japan but AT&T uses 1900, 850, and one more that slips my mind. The G1 won't work on those networks unfortunately (I'm not AT&T and not having 3G sucks) but it is still an amazing phone even on EDGE although I still keep my iPhone handy to switch sims in case I need 3G for tethering and such. My advice, if you want the G1 and already have a 3G phone, buy the G1 and keep the old one if you need it sometime. Otherwise buy a phone that has the 3G you want/need.

[Q] Need more info about LTE....

Hi, just looking for make a phone upgrade i live in Venezuela and my phone company, DIGITEL, just begin to use LTE network in 1800Mhz band, GSM 900 3G UMTS/HSDPA, They sell the SAMSUNG S4 I9505 , but i want to buy a NOKIA 1020 or 1520 but there is some information that i wish to clarify first. NOKIA specify the LTE band network as 2, 3,4,5,7,17.... etc and honestly i don't understand this nomenclature. Can somebody help me to understand this and if the LUMIA 1020 or 1520 can work as S4 i9505 in 1800Mhz?
Thx
hi,
nokia uses band classes to spicify his lte support:
BC1, LTE Band 1 or Class 1: Used in Asian countries like Japón, and South Corea del Sur. LTE on 2100MHz
BC2, LTE Band 2: U.S. Cellular carrier, secondary band (carrier CDMA), LTE 1900MHz
BC3: (LTE 1800MHZ) used in Australia and Europe (UK, Finland, Germany,...)
En América Latina, al parecer en Venezuela el operador Digitel va a desplegar su red LTE en BC3.
BC4, or LTE AWS: AWS-1, 1700MHz for upload and 2100MHz for download.
used mainly in Canadá, some carriers in U.S.A., Telcel México, de varios carriers más en América Latina
BC5, LTE Band 5 : (LTE en 850MHz)
BC6, LTE Band 6: Japan LTE en 800MHz)
BC7, LTE Band 7:Europa and Australia (LTE a 2600MHz ó 2.6GHz);
BC10, LTE Band 10 ó Class 10: similar to BC4 1700/2100;
BC12, LTE Band 12 ó Class 12: 700MHz)
BC13, LTE Band 13 ó Class 13: LTE en 700MHz)
BC17, LTE Band 17 ó Class 17: LTE en 700MHz
Other bands are: BC8 (LTE en 900MHz próximamente en Europa, Japón, américa Latina), BC9 (LTE en 1700/1800), BC14 (otra banda LTE en 700MHz para E.U.A. aún no explotada)
Sorry but can't post external links, hope this helps. I was tired of translating hope you undersatand spanish.

AT&T LG G3 Supported Frequencies?

I want to know the actual frequencies (MHZ) which are supported by the AT&T LG G3. Can we unlock it so its 3G/4G is usable in Europe and Asia?
A simple google will show you the bands of the D850.
But the bands are there you can't change them. Meaning you can't unlock bands which are not there.

[Q] Can you change mobile data bands in your smartphone?

Hi all, I just realized I made a mistake when buying a smartphone abroad. I got a MotoE 2nd gen XT 1524.
This are the bands that work in my country:
2G: 850 / 1900
3G: 850 / 1900
4G: Banda 4 (AWS, 1700, 1700/2100*) / Banda 28 (APT700, 700 MHz**)
And these are the bands my phone has:
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 20(800) – XT1524
HSDPA 900 / 2100 – XT1524
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 – all versions
I know, I'm in trouble. But my question is... can I try something before starting to cry? :crying:
(BTW, I'm suuuuuuuuuuuper begginer, it's my first real smartphone, I had a feature phone before this one)
Thanks!
Hello!
I had a simillar problem with the XT1524. I also live in Argentina.
The XT model is international, so at a hardware level you have all the bands, but it is limited by the software.
The solution is (tranks to JasonPro11):
1. Download "4G LTE Switch" from PlayStore.
2. Run the app (does not require special permissions).
3. Go to "Set preferred network type” and choose LTE/GSM.
4. In the upper corner go to "Set Radio Band" and choose "USA Band".
5. Restart and enjoy LTE and 3G in Argentina...
I´ve also published this post in Grupo Android (spanish version).
Regards,
Fernando
