Hi ruchir500,
I can help you in installing this custom ROM properly but before that can you tell me - is your handset rooted?
How exactly you flashed this XR650 ROM in your device? I know you followed the same steps as mentioned in the post but if you would provide the exact steps you tried may help me and you to resolve the issue in a better way.

I will suggest three things. The first is that you reflash again.Take note if there is an instruction for you to wipe CACHE and DALVIK CACHE in the ROM. Doing this anyway often helps. Some Devs sometimes omit to mention this in the OP, but it will be in the ROM itself. Sometimes, doing a factory reset or data wipe will remove the bootloop. And secondly try another ROM. Aromatic BUMBLEBEE and Blackpearl are the two best 4.1.1 ROMs after MICROFIRE 3.2.

hi abhinav,
ya.. my device is rooted...i was flashing rom for the first time, i tried to flash it by cwm recovery..
steps which i followed were..
went to cwm recovery
Wipe Data/Factory Reset. wipe partion cache
Goto Mounts & Storage -> Format /system
Goto Advanced -> Clead Dalvik Cache
Install xr650 zip from SD card
thats it...
then rebooted..and got stuck in boot logo..
so i restored back to my original rom via backup..

Hi ruchir500,
Here are some steps you must follow while installing any new custom ROM:
Your device is already rooted so you can continue with the following steps:
1) Goto CWM --> install zip from SD card --> select the ROM zip file --> it will start installing the ROM
2) Then --> Wipe data/factory reset --> Wipe cache partition --> then goto --> advanced--> Wipe dalvik cache --> Wipe battery stats
3) Go back--> reboot system now.
Hope this helps. And if doesn't help try:
1) Download Xtreme Rejoice Kernel zip file from here: http://d-h.st/87R, transfer to SD card
2) Install this ROM with the same steps as mentioned above for the ROM installation
If these steps doesn't help, try both the steps without rebooting the system or CWM > after completing both the steps reboot system.
Let me know if this helps.

[Q] First time flashing NS i9023 (serious flasher from SGS,SGS2)

Hey!
First let me say that I know all about flashing SGS and SGS2. Im a proud owner of SGS1 from day 1.
Last week I decided to finally flash my brothers i9023 so I flashed stock 4.0.3 with stock recovery. Then we wanted to flash some XDA stuff and I don't understand these guides...
I found one guide where you get superuser access with one click and usb cable, I did that, then I flashed CWM through Rom manager and flashed 4.0.4 from evilisto (v1.1) and it worked. Now I'm trying to flash some others, like nuhetri reloaded or pixel rom and I'm always getting stuck at boot animation. It just keeps "working" and nothing happens for 5+ minutes.
What am I doing wrong? Please help!
Best Regards
Luka
(in general)in recovery wipe data factory reset, format cache, davlik cache, system, boot. then flash new rom.
with nuhetri i think there is a bug where your not supposed to wipe data coming from another rom only davlik cache and cache then flash nuhetri

Hey and thanks for such quick reply!
I did all these now, rebooted to recovery (from CWM) and flashed this Fully Touched:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411734
Its stuck at boot image for 5 minutes now.
What now?
your using updated version of cwm? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22044793&postcount=82
steps
put rom on sd card
reboot into cwm recovery
wipe data, cache, davlik cahe, and format system and boot
install zip from sd card
choose rom you put on sd card
should say install from sd complete or something like that
reboot system now
let it boot into new rom (should not take more than 3-5 min)
edit: just seen this post in the rom thread your trying to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23255456&postcount=389 try redownloading again

I did all that before... Im going to redownload, maybe its corrupted but I doubt it. Is it maybe because I have locked bootloader or something? Beacause I didnt use that long guide with "android SDK" in General, but some other very quick guide. Just plug USB, enable debugging and run some script and thats it.

do yourself a favor, do it the right way the first time and save yourself headaches in the future. its not hard. fastboot oem unlock(bootloader), flash a custom recovery, flash a custom rom(and gapps) via the recovery, then boot up. thats it.
If you are more of a visual type of guy I suggest going on YouTube and search "zedomax". He has some really simple videos on how to root your nexus s, he has a couple videos on how to root but make sure its for a GSM nexus.
Simms got all in a simply way.
Unlock boot loader
Install or flash cwm
install the new stuff from SD card
reboot
Can anyone tell me or please provide a link to what unlocking bootloader does please.
Best Regards
Excuse my ignorance, I'm pretty new to this and I might not be of any help at all... but is it even possible to flash a custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader on the Nexus S?
I followed the instructions found on the NexusShacks.com website (How to root Nexus S or Nexus S 4G on ICS or Gingerbread) without any issues at all (sorry, can't post links due to low postcount :/)
No problems for me, I had zero experience with this sort of stuff but I have flashed a new ROM a every few days now without any issues whatsoever.

GALAXY Y Boots only in Stock ROM even after flash

I had rooted my phone, and did use Jelly Blast for a while worked perfect. After a few days I tried installing mods through cwm which led to boot loops. I used odin and got stock ROM for my phone . Now when I tried installing Nemesis ROM, I followed all steps right but though it shows Nemesis boot picture, it still boots into the stock OS.
Update ur cwm version
Flash ur rom again
It will ask u to disable stock recovery say yes

Hey I'm a noob. By flash your rom, do you suggest to flash the same nemesis rom again? And what will ask me to disable stock recovery? I have cwm version 5.0.2.6 right now.
try this
wipe data
wipe cache
wife dalvik cache
install stock rom via odin
then install your desired rom via cwm

I have tried the following steps:
1. Odin stock rom: I just have pda,csc and modem. I do not have bootloader and pit.
2. Then went to Recovery and installed CWM
3. Installed custom rom JELLY Blast which previously had no issues. (Before this I wiped data, cache & dalvik)
4. Result - > Stuck on Samsung screen.
After which I cannot get back to any recovery mode anymore, it is stuck on samsung screen. All I have to do is go back to download mode and odin it again. But I really want to be back on custom roms

Hi,
This is not your phone issue alone but any phone can face this. To reproduce this issue, it takes more than what you have mentioned. But the solution comes through if you follow these steps just as listed by me here:
1. Get an older version of official Samsung Firmware (preferably 1 or 2 versions older than the latest one)
2. Flash this using ODIN (if flashing fails at any point via ODIN user an even older Stock Firmware version)
3. If you can boot into the Rom fine, reboot to its Stock Recovery
4. From Stock recover, start the CWM.zip that you have (version 5 or 6 whichever lets you load fine, does not matter at this point)
5. When inside CWM, go into Advanced and select "Fix Permissions"
6. Only after you have fixed permissions, go ahead and do the Wipes in the order below
7. Wipe Dalvik Cache, Wipe Cache, Wipe Data
8. Once this is done, load the custom ROM you want to install from this CWM session
9. After install, when you go for reboot, see if you get any option that says something like "prevent from flashing stock recovery" or so, say yes to it.
This should fix any permission issue that may be preventing you to get to your favorite ROM from stock ROM.
Let me know if this helps or if I can help you further.
Glad if this helped you in any way !

[Q] Bootloop and other problems..

Hello..
My girfriend has a explorer and she was anoyed by small storage on her phone..I did that link2sd thing but she was not pleased and wanted me to revert phone on original settings..
I went into that recovery mode by pressing pow and vol down and did factory reset..
After that phone did not wanted to boot..it just stayed on that htc logo..
Then I downloaded 1.43.720.2. stock rom transfered it to sd card (which is now on 500 MB (it has 2gb, and I dont know how to revert it) and flashed it via recovery..
Then phone boots up to start screen and then it shut it self up and it goes into boot loop..
Any solutions?
the first rule after rooting..never ever do factory reset
now u can flash any other rom..no problem with that!

FTFY.
Actually never do a factory reset from the bootloader.. i.e. the menu where you have the 3 androids on the skateboards on the bottom of the screen.
@Ante241... as far as your problem goes. I suggest you wipe everything except the external SD card before flashing the ROM.
I.e. in the recovery menu > Mounts and storage > format boot cache data system and then go the main menu of recovery and then do a factory reset , then go to advanced in the main menu and wipe dalvik cache.. after that install .zip from SD card and flash the required ROM of your choice. Remember to backup all your apps before you do this.. using Titanium Backup or similar which saves the backup on the SD card or create a nandroid backup from recovery > backup and restore > backup.
Hi thanks a lot..before I read answers I downloaded official stock rom for her phone and flashed it (ofc I wiped all before)
but I could not find croatian..it was not in europe and east europe flash..
So I downloaded Minimilised ROM and flashed that and now it is ok..
Only problem is that phone wont read SIM card contacts and inport them, but that I will ask on dev thread for that ROM..
Thank you guys.. :good:

Alse, you can ask in dedicated thread for Q&A of the ROM here: [Rom Discussion] Cosmic Rom for GT-S7562 [Galaxy S Dous] and i'm sure you will receive an asnwer from the developer or other member who know what going wrong.

Please, i don't have this phone so i can't tell too much about, but for flash you can do it ONLY thru custom recovery (CWM or TWRP).
Like i said you before, ASK in that ROM thread i gave you in my first post.
