Hi guys,
Got my hands on a Noreve case for the S4 a few days ago, and wanted to share my thoughts on it.
Noreve is a company from France, and they make very high quality leather cases for just about every device out there in the mobile arena. The cases are of the highest quality leather, and very well constructed. As with all Noreve cases I've seen and reviewed up until this time, the workmanship throughout is outstanding. I personally really love this company because they have a keen eye for detail.
After trying this case out for a few days, I can safely say that it's pretty much everything I could have expected from Noreve - great packaging, and a very high quality case. Here are a few shots of the box, which also comes in a red pouch. The case itself will be in this red pouch, meant to protect the case. I've always seen this as a very nice, thoughtful touch.
Once you're inside the box, you'll be greeted by the wonderful smell of excellent, high quality leather. While soft, it's also very durable, and the stitching is spot on all across the case. The case slides in without any hassles, but it's also not very easy to get out, which is a good thing. You don't really want the case to unintentionally come off.
The ports such as the power button and volume rocker can be easily accessed. And because they are recessed in due to the case, they will be protected from drops as well. Here's a few shots of the case from the sides.
Speaking of drops, the phone and case held up just fine to the 3-4 drops I put it through, on direct pavement. Three of them were from waist height, and one from neck height. Didn't seem to be a problem anywhere, and the case held on to the phone firmly all four times.
Another thing I like about Noreve is their metal grills for the speakers on the front and back of the case. It's the first time I'm seeing a front facing speaker grill from them, but it does look quite attractive. The front grill hasn't been implemented on any other models as far as I can tell - they for sure weren't there for the Galaxy Nexus, etc.
I really like how the phone feels very sturdy with the case on. I also have the Samsung smart cover and it drives me crazy, simply because the flap on it won't fully close. It just flaps about. With this, the phone is locked in tight and protected.
Overall, I'd have to say that this is another fantastic case from Noreve. While not one of the cheaper cases out there, you get what you pay for. And considering that it's a handmade, genuine leather case from France, I'd say it's well worth it, considering they provide free shipping with DHL as a bonus. I've tested quite a few of their products now, so I can easily vouch for the sheer quality they provide.
Anyone interested can check out the page for the S4 here. It's well worth checking out because Noreve offer a ton of customization for their cases. You can basically get them in any color/finish you can think of.
Also, anyone interested in purchasing the case, they can use this discount code - Yener2013. It will take off 15% of your order.
Cheers.
Thanks for the review. I have the noreve flip case for my old desire and it is lovely. One off the things I like was that the metal of the case was bent around to hold the phone.. all other cases I have seen use a plastic tray fixed too the cover.

s line case, Nillkin Amazing Armor Bumper,Samsung protective cover+
http://youtu.be/94QtQB9x2CE?list=UUACeOFuBKLUX5JzaYFqAwWQ
Thanks for the reviews...in regard to the Nillkin case/bumper...I only found sellers in China on eBay...you know of any US sellers or Amazon sellers? I checked both but didn't find anything...thanks!!
Yes your correct I purchased it from a China supplier via eBay. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but overall good value for money.
I have two of the 3 main cases reviewed in same colors. The Samsung protective case fits better than the Nillkin. The Nillkin required some excess removal around the USB and mics to fit without slightly pulling away from bezel near the home button and allowing light to peak through the USB port. The fit here is much better on the Samsung case.
The lack of side grip is actually worse and more like the Verus Thor case, the Samsung protective case gets more slippery when cold than the Nillkin case. The Nillkin despite its smooth sides doesn't lose as much grip when cold.
Also, the Nillkin case fits the headphone jack better IMO because it covers all the chamfered edges. Once I fitted the USB port, I could say that I prefer its fit around the USB port better for the same reason but there is some concern about the fit near the mics. The Samsung case fits the mics perfectly and tight and even accommodates the Verizon spacing here. My modification on the Nillkin is not precise so I think the Samsung case may actually sound better on a call.
The review mentions the Nillkin is easy on, easy off; exactly, but it appears the Samsung case is harder to remove than even the Verus Thor despite looking and feeling quite similar around the bezel lip. The Samsung case feels as if it needs to stretch to come off but less cooperative at doing so when cold.
Others have said the Nillkin is compatible with the OEM wireless charger cover. If so, the case may appeal to both the wireless chargers and frequent battery replacement users.
I may try the S curve case but would like to know if it covers the chamfered edges as nice as the Nillkin but also fits the mics as perfectly as the Samsung protective case+?
damn that sucks about the Samsung case.. amazon is full of 5 star reviews so I got it.. and now I'm reading it sucks. and i spent 20 bucks on that stupid thing. damnit. oh well it comes Monday so we'll see. I'm using the diztronic now and it's nice, but i agree with him that the s line case is great. I've got the same one, but it doesn't fit as well as it should around the bottom lip of rhe phone, and the cutouts don't match the Verizon one. also, there's no raised edge around the camera and i don't like that since I place my phone down on its back.

There must not be a perfect case out there at the moment. What disappoints me about the Samsung protective case+ is the cold grip and ease of removal. Your results may differ; hoping warmer weather improves the ease of removal. I do think the warmer weather grip is good. We've had a warm day and a cold day since the case arrived. The fit is as nice as the Verus Thor.
To be fair on the grip gripes, I have small hands and suffer from dry skin in colder environments. Both tend to make these cases cold, hard and slippery.
Thanks for the commentary on the S Line case.
The cases compromise one thing or another. For now, I can deal with the lack of grip of the Samsung case because it's minimal. Don't get bummed until you try it yourself.
I got the Samsung, and i have no problem with grip issues. probably bc i used the diztronic for like 3 weeks.. and the sides of that are slippery too. this to me is decent enough grip. I actually love this Samsung case. it's thin. feels better than the diztronic. really keeps the phone shape the same. I got the blue and it looks so cool

I thought I was going to buy the Tech 21 Tactical Impact in matte black today. T-mobile only had the mesh in purple; I tried the fit on my phone and hate the exposed chamfered edges near the headphone jack. Also lacks the raised camera lip. Disappointing. The salesman said the black matte case, which they didn't have ATM, would be identical in fit. Deal breaker for my pursuit of a better case. The Nillkin Armor bumper case and Samsung are the better cases, for me. The Verus Thor is third for me.
Next week I should recieve e.grips which I plan to stick on the Samsung case.
It's amazing that we can't find a great slim case with a good grip.
Poetic offered me to review their case, and they sent me one completely free. I want to thank them first for this kind offer.
To begin with design;
Quality of material is really good.
It looks great :good:. Compared to the other armor cases i saw, Revolution has a cool and better looking design for sure. It does not make your phone like old army satellite phones like others.
Cuts are precisely aligned. It has cuts for both mics on top and bottom.
The stand on the back offers great functionality , also adds a good-looking detail to back side.
It offers a better grip on the phone.
Field of profession: Protection
Nothing much to say really. For sure one of the best. Case feels really solid.
Also has dust protection caps on usb and headphone ports. It really gives you confidence about drop protection. I feel like a dont need do worry about dust or dropping my phone anymore.
Cons:
As a natural downside of this high protection, phone feels a little bit bigger and thicker.
I think it is hard to put the phone to the case and back off(Maybe there is an easier way than I did). But if you need this kind of protection I guess you dont need to do it often.
To conclude:
It is one of the best cases offering that much protection also with an elegant design. Feels solid and durable, no worries about dropping. If you need that much protection, I would definately recommend that.
As a results I give this product 9/10.

I'm pretty sure this is the ugliest design possible. Wouldn't put it on my phone if they paid me.
It seems too big to be good for daily use

Protection vs Convenience!
I got one too for the review! Here's my list of pros & cons:-
Pros:-
- Protection
When they say protective case, I didn't realize they literally meant every letter of it! This shell is so damn hard, I can beat the **** out of a mugger if it ever comes to that. I'm pretty sure even if I drop the phone on the ground from the first floor, nothing will happen to the phone unless the screen hits directly on some elevated object. So I'll give it a thumbs up on protection category. The case is damn solid! The brand also claims that the case is shock resistant, although I didn't get a chance to test it out myself (or may be I don't want to find that out). The case also covers the volume rocker and the power button with its own tactile buttons.
- Dust Resistant
Putting the case on is quite a challenge, however once done, it doesn't leave much space in-between the case and the phone itself. The USB Port and the 3.5mm Audio Jack has a dedicated pull-up flaps which are easy to open and close. So, overall, it has some dust protection too.
- Excellent Grip
The case is built with some reinforced TPU (or similar material) with texture on the sides which provides excellent gripping to the holding hand. Even if you drop it, doesn't look like it's gonna make any difference anyway!
- Built-in Kickstand
Not just the case, even the built in kickstand is made of metal and it definitely feels solid unlike some lousy kickstands which come with many other cheap cases. So you have the power kick it out and enjoy movies/videos (or games if you use a gamepad) anywhere you want.
Cons:-
- Size
Huge! That's what it is. Edge+ is already hard for some to handle it with one hand but putting this cover on, it becomes almost impossible for them to operate with one hand. It widens the phone by atleast 1.5-2 cms.
- Weight
With power comes responsibility. Similarly, with protection comes additional bulkiness! At 90 grams (3.2 ounce) this is the heaviest case I've ever used. At 153 grams ( 5.4 ounce), Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is one of the slimmest and lightest phablets in the market and this case would put that to complete shame!
- Case On/Off
With my Gear VR, I need to take off my phone's case every now and then! With this case, that's not happening. It took me almost 15 minutes (first time and the only time) to put this case on. Trust me, it's damn hard to pull out the frame ( the plastic bumper) from inside the case and putting the phone inside is even harder! Though once done, it's definitely protected! Now, taking off the case is another challenge!
- Buttons
Due to this reinforced TPU material, the buttons on the case are a bit harder than usual. So you might have to use some extra strength when you want to access the power button or volume key, you still get the tactile feedback though!
The Final Verdict
If you work in a harsh environment and your sole purpose of a case is protection of the phone, this case is definitely for you. But if you hands are short or you like keeping your phone in your jeans pocket or you want to show off how cool is that edge display of your phone, this case isn't for you! Check out the HD images for a better view!
First I would like to thank Poetic for sending me a free sample to do a review of it.
I received Poetic Revolution case one week ago and I decided to test it for a while before I write a review.
At the first sight I was astonished by a quality of a case, I have never seen case with more details before. I really like its millitary look. I love how all holes are precisely cut out. They are covered with a dust protectors which is really nice. When you hold your phone in this case you are completely sure iz will not slip out of your hands.
I found metal stand really useful especially when I watch movies, have video conversation with my girlfriend or when I cook lunch and cannot hold my phone.
When It comes to protection I am sure it will prevent my phone of taking damage. My son dropped phone on the floor two times and phone survived just very well without cracking.
Cons:
- It is a little bit too bulky (but it is ok as protection is its main role)
- There should be screen protector intergrated in this case
- Every time I insert charger I am afraid to scratch bottom of my phone.
Overall I am keen on this case because it gives best protection to my phone. I love how nice it looks on my phone.
If you want highest level of protection for you smartphone you shoud definitely give it a try:

I received the Poetic Revolution case as well about a week ago. I wanted to give it a weeks worth of use before giving a review.
Pros
(1) Very well built. This thing is rock solid and the tolerances are super tight. This keeps out the dust and offers great protection from falls.
(2) Great Design... The overall aesthetics of this case are great. You can tell a lot of detail went into designing this case. It's funny to mention but I found the integrated backplate (blue plate) on the inside of the case to be impressive how it's molded into the rest of the case.
(3) It's awesome that they included a kickstand. I miss the days of old when phones had kickstands built into them, but this is a great alternative option since the newer phones don't have the kickstands anymore.
As far as CONS go.... there really aren't any that I could find. I did have a couple annoyances that I'll list below but these are subjective of my own opinion and shouldn't be viewed as a flaw in the design or a need to change it in any way, just a couple suggestions that would make "myself" like the case even more...
(1) Not a fan of the caribeaner loop... I get why it's there, and could be useful to some, but I feel like I'd just want to get some snips and cut it off... I wear baggy pants and can still fit this big case/phone in my pocket, however that caribeaner loop would catch on my jeans and just constantly annoy me. A minor hindrance, but I'd prefer it without the loop.
(2) I noticed the kickstand would "tap" against the backside of the case. This would be a little annoying were there any vibrations going on. For instance when my phone is in my car dock stand, the vibrations from the car/road would make this rattle ever so slightly. My suggestion, integrate some sort of rubber/silicon surface just under where the kickstand meets the backside of the case.
Final thoughts....
This is a great case that would definitely protect your phone had you dropped it, or are in a harsh environment. The design is eye-catching and worthy of the newer era of smartphone cases. The kickstand feature is a definite plus, and even though I am not a fan of it, I could see how the caribeaner loop would be useful for the outdoorsman or a construction worker.
I received my Revolution case from Poetic over the holidays (thank you guys).
The first thing that I noticed was the build quality!! It's amazing guys. You won't be banging up your phone with this case protecting it!!
All of the cut outs are very precise. The case has dust flaps to cover the charger and ear phones sockets. The case is a two part case that you take the rubber inner out and after fitting the phone into it then you put the outer tougher part on. It does add a little size to the phone but it's going to protect it from and mishaps. After all...protecting a phone that costs more than most gadgets out there is the main thing. I have used it now for a couple of weeks and I must say that when you buy a Poetic Case you're buying the best.
I am a proud owner of two different cases from Poetic and I promise you that one you try you will always buy from them.
I only found one slight hindrance and that's the kickstand. After a day or two it seems have become a little loose and taps and rattles. I just placed a tiny piece of blue tac under it to keep it closed.
Please try these cases from Poetic guys...I really speak highly enough!!!

I have been using the Poetic Revolution case on my gold Galaxy S6 Edge+ for about a week and a half
now. Here are my thoughts.
When looking for a rugged case, the Poetic Revolution marks off every box, and then some. This is one
of the best, and toughest cases I have ever seen. When not at work, I need a case like this for my phone.
Hiking, camping, car shows, at the lake, my kids and I are always outside. I have 2 young sons, with this
case on, I am not concerned if they grab my phone and throw it around. I have an 85 pound puppy that likes to chew. Thankfully he has never gotten a hold of my phone, but I feel confident this case would protect it.
When receiving this case, I thought it was going to be all black, but it was not. It is black with very dark
brown accents. I personally liked this as it makes the case stand out more, but in a subtle way. I also
think it makes the case look really good with my gold phone. I also really like having the port covers.
While out on the sand rails and quads out in the desert, they keep the dirt out. When you are at home
with your phone on the counter, they can keep them covered long enough for you to save your phone
should something get spilled.
I have seen where some people have said that this case is very difficult to take on and off, however, I
do not feel that way. Is it more difficult than just a thin snap on case? Of course, but I have no concern
that this case is coming off my phone if it gets dropped. I have used cases that go on and off in the same
way in the past, and I prefer them. The way it’s made, it is thinner than an Otterbox type case, but in my
opinion stronger because you don’t have 2 plastic pieces snapping together.
The kickstand on this case is also among the best I've seen. In my experience, most kick stands are
made from a cheap material, or even if they aren’t, they pop out of the case so easily the little nubs that
are used to snap it into place break. Not here, where it is very tactile in extending it to use it, but it will not pop out of the case on you. One other benefit is that I have been able use it both horizontally and vertically.
When it comes to the loop at the top, I could go either way. I would be happy with a case that did not have it, but I think it could also be more useful with some minor improvements. If I am just hiking, I feel confident when hooking it to my backpack. However, when out riding in the desert, I do not feel that it is strong enough to hook on to my keys or someplace similar. If it kept the loop, I would use it more if it were reinforced with a harder material. Either way, I think this was a good idea to separate their case from others.
Though I was pretty sure they would not work, I did test both wireless charging and Android Pay (NFC) with this case on, and neither worked. This was not a big deal for me as I do not use Android Pay much, and I only wirelessly charge at work, where I can just take the phone out of the case if need be.
This case was provided to me by Poetic for my honest opinions. For the price of this case (currently $19.95 on Amazon), it is superior to cases costing twice as much. Though this is my first Poetic case, it will not be my last. I was so impressed with this case that I recently purchased a Poetic case for my Galaxy Tab A after the old case was chewed by above mentioned puppy.
Looking great will definitely try it soon.

Hello !
I have been using the IPAKY case for the last five month since January and I have to say I'm amazed!
It still looks great, it's VERY light, it literally keeps the phone compact, I don't feel bulkiness, It feels good in the hand, you can still use the phone in one hand, feels great!
It's made of 2 parts, the bumper is plastic and the body is made of TPU, it keeps the screen from getting broken, my phone fell so many times of my hand and it still intact with the original screen protector in place(the Mocolo from my previous post, WITH NO SCRATCHES OR CRACKS ON IT)
You can see that part of the plastic shows very little, to no wear. That is nothing that should concern you, it does not ruin the look of the case or has any effect other than visual.
Link to buy - as usually from trusted suppliers:

Link to purchase the Mocolo screen protector, You'll be buying 2pcs, keep one for spare, you never know when you might need it.
In addition, this is the official shop, I have been buying here for years and so did most of Ali Express users who are buying their products.

Thanks.
Josef.
after two months there is some paint scratching off the edges from the silver part although mine has never survived a fall or whatever similar and is carried in leather pouch, so I'd say the painting quality is poor, but overall the case is much better and not bulkier than an average silicon case, so I keep using it - but next time I'd choose black/black version of ipaky for two reasons: 1) the painting quality mentioned above 2) in the car, mounted on windshield, the silver parts give unpleasant glare (not directly, but there are reflections on the glass) in bright daylight
Yeah, the paint really doesn't bother me, so I don't think it's a big deal.
I used that case for a lenovo K3 note. With the note, options were limited and the ipaky looked nice. It lasted about 3 months and the plastic outer shell cracked and finally completely separated around the power button.
The ipaky for the mi4c is slightly more robust - but veeeerrry slightly. I can't honestly say I expect it to last more than 6 months.
A like the looks ipaky, the minus i have some off my headphone jacks 3,5 cannot plug properly and also the back speaker sound a little blocked by the case
Availability seems to be low on cases for the Nokia 8 so far.
I'm a cluts so not going to take my 8 out of the house before I get a sturdy case for it.
I saw one article that listed 5 cases but availability seems bad so far.
I bought a lenuo (I guess it's called that) case from ebay and it feels good enough for now. A smart case of some kind would be nice to have though...
I ordered Nokia 8 in Tempered Blue and official Nokia leather flip case in brown color. We will see if it is any good. I will post the pics after weekend.
i got Nokia 8 in polished copper and 2-3 tiny TINY scratches bother me and i am looking for a clear case any ideas?
p.s. anyone that uses cases has issues with the power and volume rocker buttons?
I received oem Nokia Leather case (CP-801)
The quality is top of the line if someone likes this type of covers. I am not a fan for it but it was a gift for family member and I rate the quality 9/10. The only thing it lacks is like magnetic attachment to the screen like ipad cover. Nokai cover is slim, well cut out and really well made. I was a bit skeptical, I am not a fan of leather cases but you will probably not be dissapointed spending 40EUR for this.
I got this case off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074347Y6M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've always gone for clear bumpers on my phone, rather than opaque or solid cases. This case adds a neat textured pattern over the back of the phone, it blends very nicely with the edge of the screen, and all the buttons/connectors are easy to use. The clearance on the rear mic could be a bit better, now that I look at it, though. There's one spot where I can feel the injection port from the mold, but it doesn't bother me that much and would be easy to smooth out if it did. That link is actually for two pieces, so I have a spare if I need it.
I don't use cases ... No sense in buying beautiful phones and hiding them in cases ... Got transparent full body polyurethane protection installed ... Even makes the phone more grippy

Totally agree with that sentiment. My brother has an SG7 installed in some sort of brick and it looks awful. Enjoy your phone as it was meant to be.
I just ordered the cc801. I find this phone to damn slippery without a case.

Of course it makes perfect sense.
First, not everyone really care about the phone looks. Some people and this may come as a surprise, buy phone to use telephony, messages, audio or video, web browsing.
Second, beatiful phone is meaningles if you can not protect it and scratch it or worse, damage your screen. So much for staring at naked aluminium unibody with cracked screen.
one of the cases which looks to me like it may provide more protection is this following one: (I haven't tried it myself and I don't even have the phone but interested in it so did the research)

someone made a short video review of it (thank you sir)

I got my Nokia 8 last night and ordered a couple of cases to try out.
This one is incredibly slim, barely a few mm thick and has a slightly raised lip. Not sure how it would handle a fall onto a hard surface, but certainly does not add much bulk whilst still offering some level of protection. It is a hard case - not a gel so a bit tricky to take off. The one thing I really dont like is the ugly J&D logo on the back.
I also got this one - which is more substantial gel case - looks nicer and feels more protective. But then it adds that bit more bulk.
I am a bit butter fingers so whilst I see the argument about not having a case - if I did not have one, my current HTC 10 would have been smashed by now.

HTC 10 is a tank it'd take a sledge hammer to damage it.
Update: In the end I settled on this cheap and cheerful clear gel case. Sent the other two back.
I think it will do the job well, provide reasonable protection without being too bulky - and lets the nice Silver colour of my Nokia 8 shine through.
And when it starts yellowing after while I can just order another - given the low price...
The Official Nokia 8 Soft Touch Case Black - CC-801 - looks great - but currently costing around £25 to £30 - which is over the top for what it is....
Guys, also if you interested for an official case from nokia you can find it here

I received and its an official case from nokia... unfortunately i haven't test it yet because i don't have the phone yet.
But feels sturdy, the back is hardened and the sides are a little bit more soft for the buttons
Here some pics (sorry for the crappy quality, still using a nexus 4 from 2012)

:good:- I spotted this also last night. But it was out of stock, but I found one in stock on Amazon UK. Ordered it to check out - as I often find official cases are slimmer / better fit than 3rd party.
Just arrived, two original Nillkin cases for Nokia 8. Paid $15 for both (purchased from AliExpress).
The red color is a bit darker than the tone visible in photo. The official renders from Nillkin also shows the red color to be bright but in reality it is a shade darker.
I have used other cases as well but this is hands down the best back cover for Nokia 8 because of one reason. The case is curved from edges exactly the same way as Nokia 8 is built. The curves start from frontal edges of the case and goes to the backside of case. It is hard to explain in words.
Other back covers make Nokia 8 blocky as they have standard squarish edges. But this one feeks like a second skin for the phone as it preserves original curved design of the phone while being slim, lightweight and sturdy.
I always get Nillkin cases for my phones because their quality is top notch and their attention to details is exceptional. They also have been unbreakable for me so far.
Hello guys is there anyone using this case? Or anything to say about that?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075...er+nokia+8&dpPl=1&dpID=41O0-3xnbqL&ref=plSrch
I always buy Nillkin cases for my phones, but it wasn't available for the Nokia 8 when I needed it. After trying a couple of cheap ones I ended with the an official Nokia 8 cover which is fantastic:
I got leather flip case from stilgut.de. very nice.
