Youtube video exiting fullscreen mode - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Why is that sometimes when i play youtube videos in full screen then all of a sudden it shows the nav bar blank and status bar with the time on it. It looks like its exiting the full screen mode. Sometimes its ok sometimes its not. Looks like a bug to me. Im experiencing this since 4.4.2.

System bar won't hide while watching YouTube in full screen

Hi,
I have this problem ever since i bought this tablet (n8010). When i watch YouTube and press on full screen, the lower bar (System, Navigation, Notification bar) won't hide. It happens with every rom i tried, original or custom, rooted or unrooted. A couple of friends of mine have the same tablet and when they watch YouTube it works just fine. Also, on my Note, using different video apps, the System Bar does hide while watching in full screen. I also don't think its the YouTube app's fault because on my Nexus 4 it works fine with the latest version of YouTube and i also tried deleting the update and watch with an older version but that didn't work as well.
Help anyone?
Thanks.

[Q] Youtube app issue

This is an issue I have consistently, and it's very bothersome. I've searched everywhere for a fix and I can't seem to find anything.
Stock lg g2 will randomly show the notification bar when full screen in youtube app, until I force close the app this issue will continue.
Any way to fix this? It cuts to top and right side of the video and is very annoying.
I've attached two photos of the app in immersive mode and when the problem happens.

Youtube immersive mode bug

Hi,
Probably this thread reports the same issue.
Basically when watching or starting to play a video on Youtube, immersive mode stops working or partially stops working since some icons do disappear but battery icon, and screen bottons become dots. Also a dot its visible on the left side of the notifications bar. Here is a screenshot . Bug fixes temporary after closing the app on the multitask button.
I am not rooted, phone is up to date.
To solve the bug I have tried:
- Play the same video after closing and opening Youtube, is not video specific since immersive mode worked fine.
- Disabling Lightflow, only app with permanent notification I use.
To reproduce the bug I have tried.
- Switching between home screen, youtube and different apps to try reproduce the bug.
- Sending me a gmail notification during the video.
No luck trying to reproduce it.
It's not the most problematic bug, but it gets annoying.
Any ideas on how to fix it or reproduce it?
Thanks

I have had the same issue in the past - to be honest, I thought the last update (5.6.36) had made things better but maybe not.
Like you, I could never work out a way to reliably reproduce it. It seemed if you watch 4 or 5 videos back-to-back eventually immersive mode gives up and you have to close and re-load YouTube to get it back.

YouTube Bug?

I'm noticing that on YouTube, after I close the app, and open the app backup, the video plays in a semi full screen mode where I cannot see the content on the side where it normally is. Obviously the workaround is to change it back to portrait mode but that defeats the point of trying to use the app in landscape. What I have been doing so far to alleviate this problem is clearing out the data and cache of YouTube before I open up the app, but as you can tell that gets annoying. I have attached two screenshots. One of them is YouTube the way it should look, the other is showing the problem. Notice the white bar at the bottom. Any fix? I am using a 8013 with 8010 stock rom flashed on it because I wanted KitKat.

Auto rotate animation stuttering

Anyone noticing this? This is most noticeable when watching a youtube video. Doesn't matter if it's 60 or 120hz. Not sure how to describe it but it's just like when you're playing a game then suddenly the FPS drops like the performance is being throttled. It's just not smooth as it was like on my Redmi note 4x or poco f1.
I thought the first system update yesterday resolved it but apparently it's still there. I'm also noticing this when scrolling through previous apps but not as noticeable as the auto rotate animation.
Yes, same problem here. Seems like it drops till 60hz when is rotating.

Actually, fps and refresh rate drops to 30 after a few seconds of not touching the screen. This causes the not so fluid animation when you rotate the screen.
Edit: Did some testing and seems like it only happens in YouTube app(vance/official) once you play the video. It doesn't happen when playing videos in gallery or google photos
Another bug....
I can't seem to get auto rotation to work at all actually. Anyone else having this issue? I'm on the latest version of the software, and auto rotation button is blue in drop down, and selected in the menu.

that's blue mean auto rotation is off, that why it didn't work

I've tried both ways, with various applications, and it doesn't seem to rotate. Youtube and VLC just now as an example.

Inexplicably starred working a few hours later. Must have seen that I was ready to wipe the phone. ?

It also happens on official YouTube and other apps such as the Vivaldi browser
no problems with stuttering in vanced/youtube or alltogether, however its very sensitive, tilting the phone a little often rotates it.
My poco x3 rotate screen when is flat on the table - how I can fix this annoying issue ?
