Hello I'm a user of a Sky Vega Iron (IM-A870)
And I need desperate help.
It's not an ordinary boot loop I wish it was, here's the story.
I rooted my phone just to let you know.
So I installed the wrong version of cwd recovery on my phone and so when I go into recovery mode the screen will turn like this.
imgurDOTcom/iOFieHG (sorry I can't you links yet cause I'm new)
But it wasn't a big deal I just didn't use it.
Now is the deal I decided to update my phone to stock kitkat that the vega devs supported themselves with vega station(the stock updating app)
And when it started installing it suddenly went into cwm.
I wasn't that worried at the moment just tried pulling the battery out and rebooting but...it started a boot loop.
I can't navigate cwm because of the way it is and I'm stuck. Is there another way to factory reset? or to get out of the loop?
Maybe a way to get rid of cwm and get back to stock recovery mode? Please help I need help until tomorrow! (personal reasons)
I searched online hours for solutions yet I can't find one.
Please help. I'm begging anyone out there.
Thank You

Thanks but failed
Thank you so much but it didn't work.
Thinking of going to a service center and getting it factory reset.
Think it'll work?

you would need to get to one of 2 places, i thought you couldn't get to either, settings (from booted up) or recovery.
but factory resetting would only remove any data, it will not restore any files or fix your busted cwm.

i cant say that for sure, all im saying is, factory reset does nothing more than wipe data.
if there is an issue in there causing your problem, then yes it will fix it. if your problem is caused by a software issue, then no it will not.

Hello there!
I have a really serious problem with my TF300T. I had the newest bootloader installed with 4.4 enabled TWRP recovery. I had the 2014.01.07. CM 11 nightly installed and was running fine. I have seen, that there are some never releases so decided to update. I downloaded the newest nightly yesterday and pressed power button. Selected reboot and then selected Recovery.
And here comes the problem!
The tablet bricked himself! It did restart but got into a bootloop I cannot get through the Asus splashscreen. I tried POWER+VOLD DOWN, I cannot get into fastboot or recovery. The tablet keep rebooting, no boot to android either. I tried power off, no success. I tried the reset button. I removed battery, still the same.
As I have never done anything to the bootloader, I did not consider making NVFLASH backup, as it is a risky operation. Shame on me...
How could it happen????? Does cyanogenmod alter Bootloader partition to reboot into recovery??? What the hell??
Please help me somehow! I dont know what to do, I tried all I could! Maybe APX? or only Asus RMA??
yours,

In theory, yes. But many people consider it easier to RMA it.

Send it back to Asus and pay the repair costs.
I was an idiot and tried flashing some zips that bootlooped my 1+1. Now I can't boot into the OS, but I can boot into TWRP and fastboot. I'm not sure what files to download at this point, I've looked at the Android development section and am confused how to flash the phone back to stock. Any help would be appreciated!
Umm... Maybe try wiping data? Just a guess, since I don't own the phone, it's just the general thing to do at a bootloop on 99% of the cases on all phones.

That was the first thing I tried, no dice. This thread helped me, literally JUST got the phone up and working again:

No idea why but now everything on the phone is gone, all the pictures and everything. Ugh.
Problem resolved thanks to bweN diorD!

Hey everyone, I figured this was the right section to post a question, sorry if I was mistaken.
So I recently rooted my phone and tried to install a custom ROM on it, turns out the ROM I selected was probably for the wrong model or something because my screen was just black. So I booted into recovery to try and restore it on the ROM I backed up and it was gone so now I'm kinda ****ed on a phone for now, before I look into buying a new one I wanna see if there's any way I can resolve this and unbrick it.
When I turn the phone on it just loops the booting screen and when I boot into recovery it just has the droid dude with an exclamation mark on it then turns off and does the boot loop.
I was wondering if maybe there's a file I can put on an external drive and it will automatically restore back to stock like on other devices.
I've done a lot stuff like this to my PS3 just never tried it for my phone so I'm just hoping there's a method out there for me, please provide any feedback or questions about it, I'm just trying to get this resolved and I have no time really to research it because of work and a newborn baby plus you guys would know more about it than me so yeah. Thanks!

usually when you flash the wrong software to a phone it is toast, but you may be in luck as it still turns on.
video here.
further instruction here.
if that doesnt work... well its not good unfortunately.

Alright thank you! I'm pretty confident this will work, once the stock ROM file finishes downloading, which it doesn't seem that it wants to work. I've downloaded it 5 times now and every time it's done it's a fail.. I'll keep trying though.

yeah it didn't work, did everything right but when it tries to reboot I get the dead little droid guy.
Exactly like I said, I accidentally tried flashing a ROM on my encrypted XT926. I got a sinking feeling because I knew exactly what I did as soon as I did it. It's my only phone, so I'm really kind of screwed here because I don't know hw to fix this! I can get into fastboot and recovery just fine, but I don't know how to wipe the phone and get back to normal from here. Can anyone help me, please?

you can just wipe system, data ,cache, and dalvik then reinstall the rom but if you want to go back to stock then follow the instructions in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-hd/general/fxz-4-4-2-183-46-15-t2873083
Thanks so much, I managed to flash back to stock ROM with RSDLite. I learned my lesson! Again, thanks for the reply.

Are you running stock? Which version? Have you tried downloading the stock image from Asus and manually updating?

um, im so going to sound like i know nothing about technology................................................................but yes its stock never rooted nor gave any issues like this before. version, im not sure is there a way i can find that out without having to turn it on? as thats kinda not possible
have not tried dowloading anything . i just factory reset it to see if that helps....
How did you factory reset? From the Settings menu and then it started to bootloop?
Or did you figure out how to get into the bootloader menu and used the Wipe Data option there?
If you did the latter already your last option (short of sending it in for repair) is to reflash the firmware.
Here's a step-by-step that I updated fairly recently: http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...e-firmware-tf700-tf701-tf300-tf101-tf201.html
anyway to find path?
if i cant get my tab on how do i know what sku to use?
trial and error?

Hold down volume down and power when powering on and it will stop on the bootloader screen. It will tell you your current version and sku in the top left.
tab working
guys thank you soooo much, you just basically taught me about rooting my device along with the steps provided. hehe
but my infinty is back up n running as of last night.
again guys bless you all so much with all the desires you guys got.
humbly grateful.

Hey guys,
it did come on and work properly for a while, but after installing just a few apps, i held the power button and hit resart. and well it has not restarted since.
im unsure if i did something wrong on the initial root and install. i followed the instructions step by step. grr :crying:
so? is it advisable to go back into the bootloader menu, wipe data again, and try the install again?
NO!!!
Never wipe data from bootloader or Settings with a custom recovery installed!
Do it in recovery to your heart's content but nowhere else.
I don't have time to research your story right now and no idea what steps you followed, so I'm not giving any advice right now. Maybe someone else can, I'll be back tonight...
