Custom JB ROMs will no longer work once you have upgraded to the official KK release. There is no way to go back and make it work. The only thing you can do is flash back to stock JB and that's it. Any JB custom ROMs are now null and void once upgrading to KK.
You'll have to wait for Batakang to update it's ROM to use the new KK bootloader and kernel.

Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't able to get custom KK ROMs on JB bootloader to boot, and I thought it was something I was doing wrong.

Are you trying to get back to stock JB? If so, there's also SamuriHL's House of Moto that does the same thing. He's made it simpler to use in the last day or so. Or, for Windows users, you can use use RSD Flasher util.
House of Moto is script-based and uses fastboot to flash FXZ images. You can get it here:
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/28162-house-of-moto-30/
RSD Flasher uses the RSDLite tool to flash FXZ images. You can get it here:
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/48904-rsd-flasher-beta-windows-only/

i know how to get back to JB..
all i want is the droid-razr-hd-utility-1-10

you can not use the utility to go back. it does not contain all the necessary files.
you have to use rsd or @SamuriHL's script.

Way too deep and sort of confused.

Okay so im going to try to summarize my issues and see if someone can help me figure out where I am right now.
I bought my sensation and it was great for a while but hten it began to have battery problems shortly after I rooted it.
I tried different roms and kernals and even radios and none seemed to fix the problem. Finally I just put the stock pyramid rom back onto the device.
I gave it to a friend whom simply bough a new battery which was apparently the problem (I just didnt want to spend the money but whatever).
Anyway fastfowarding to now I want to put the newest version of MIUI back onto my sensation because the stock rom is an awful awful thing.
I dont however know where to begin, Im still s-of however I dont have any of the superuser privladges. Im not sure if i need to change firmwares to support the new Jelly Bean version of MIUI and I dont really know what I need to do to get super user back or anything about that.
Can someone give me some tips.

[Q] FXZ from 4.2.2 CM 10.1 Flash to Stock 4.04 ICS At&t WHAT!?

I have installed the 4.2.2 CM 10.1 ROM on my Atrix 2 and need to return it to stock 4.04, I bought an S4
I can't for the life of me find anything concrete about flashing back to stock on the Atrix 2. A bunch of mumbo jumbo about "fxz" and "rsd" and "sbf"
Can someone please clear the air so I can get this phone safely back to stock??
EDIT: All I found is this video. . .
Read this:

Use this:

You do not need to patch the fxz, just load it into RSD and go. Just read the first link, it has all the need to know about flashing an fxz in it.

Darn, the same thing happened to me 2 days ago, a flash failure that is. If you're able to get into ap fastboot still then you can try again to achieve a successful flash. That's how you generally overcome flash failures which worked for me.

That almost definitely means you are using the wrong files. make sure you have the proper ones for your version of the A2. it must be the ICS one too, no way to get to GB if it is an ATT phone.
Problem is fixed. This issue was the battery was dying I had to MAcGyver style charge my battery

Yup, that's a classic! Glad it all works, and inn the future, never start something that could brick you without a full battery. This has screwed us all at some point.
Haha i will keep that in mind. Thanks

Am I most certainly hard bricked?

1) Was on stock 4.04 ICS
2) Rooted the phone
3) Installed Bootstrap recovery
4) SOFTBRICKED by trying to install a Kitkat based rom (Liquid kitkat ) using recovery.
5) So apparently Liquid Kitkat rom was installed..........and was SOFT BRICKED
Got Motorola logo then blank screen
6) RSDLITE failed to flash FXZ Gingerbread InlineFlashing_edison_5.5.175.16_cfc_p3_APBP_CID285.zip
This part failed on the reboot (I understand now this was a no no)
QUESTION: Would FXZ 4.04 ICS have been fine for fixing this with RSDLITE?
........ Now nothing will come up...will not turn on.........
no button routines will turn this on.......
the only light that will turn on is the white let when the battery is removed and plugged into pc.
So is this pretty much hard bricked without a way to DIY fix it?
Thanks.
Try the following link to recover your device
Hi,
Refer this link by which you can get your device back to working....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36834775&postcount=108
It needs FXZ file to be flashed to ics again. Then root and enjoy custom roms.....
As per my very little knowledge it is safe to use boot menu manager (BBM) then Atrix Boot strap.....
Please let me know if the above think works for you... It worked for me .....

By the name of the FXZ file, it seems you have an AT&T Atrix 2. Sorry to say, but your phone's hard bricked by downgrading it to GB from ICS.

Thanks for the reply. Didn't I effectively try to go from Softbricked "Liquid Kit-Kat " to Gingerbread?
Since I installled Liquid Kitkat CM11-based.......(which softbricked me after trying to boot that )................would the ICS version of FXZ worked properly?
In other words, did I need to use a kit-kat based FXZ to recover from softbrick with RSDLITE?..........or just ICS?
Thanks

There's no official Jelly Bean for our device, let alone KitKat and hence none of the respective FXZs. So, yes, you should have flashed ICS FXZ in order to recover from the soft-brick.

You might be having International version of Atrix 2 or you might be on ICS Leak or GB, and hence you could recover your phone.
Downgrading an AT&T Atrix 2 from ICS to GB is 100% hard brick. Read around and you will get information on more such cases.
You had 2 mistakes:
1/ Use Bootstrap recovery instead of BMM to flash kexec ROMs
2/ Flash GB instead of ICS when the phone (AT&T) has already been on ICS (deadly mistake)
Hi. hard brickIn this way the device is to survive
Issue Solved??
Did your problem solved? If not you could give it a try the method I told you..... Mine is an international version... I downloaded FXZ for retail asian.... My phone was not at all showing anything when I click power button..... So if you tried all options you can give it a try...

XT926 Razr Maxx HD rooted but locked HELP

Hey everyone so i have a XT926
System version 9.18.79.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android version 4.1.2
Build 9.8.1Q-79
Boot Mode 10.9B
AP Fastboot flash (device is locked status code 0
So about 6 months ago i tried to root and unlock phone, i rooted fine but messed up on the unlock. And the phone was stuck in boot loop. anyways i was able with help from here on XDA get it out of boot loop and working. My issue is a couple things.
1. Can it be unlocked (i have read and read and dont believe its possible)
2. It wont do a factory hard reset it errors out and just reboots.
3. I try to do the OTA and it just get the android guy with the red triangle and then reboots.
4. when i hold volume up and power and get the factory reset, normal boot etc options, any i select just reboot phone.
I would like to do 1 of the following things. and would prefer 1.:
1. if possible unlock and install custom rom.
2. Do the OTA update and have a fresh install
3. Do a factory wipe and sell phone.
Please any help would be great, as the phone has gotten super slow and i usualy like to do a factory reset every 4-5 months to wipe it.
thanks
#1= not possible on your build. you can only install safestrap roms which are limited and most commonly found over on razr forum.
to clean it up and go back to stock you could either, use rsd to reflash stock, or grab the one click utility from the dev forum to do the same. the one click utility is the easiest of the 2, just be sure to get the build that matches your system version or newer. you can flash the same version or newer only, trying to flash an older version will just result in a boot loop.

Hi, I have a question.
I had a hard time getting any of the utilities to work initially. Booting up was just scrambled and broken. Anyway, I used v1.34 and it's made progress. It worked it's way through writing system and such. Now the phone is stuck on a bootloop. The phone cannot make it passed the red M before rebooting.
When the phone is plugged in and on an inescapable bootloop, is it charging? My battery was hovering above empty before the v1.34 utility brought me here.

Are you rooted? If so, that is why.
Did you freeze or remove any apps? If so, that's another reason why.
In either case, you will have to FXZ back to stock, unrooted to take the OTA. However, you WILL lose root and there is no root exploit for Kit Kat unless you have an unlocked bootloader, which you already found out you can't have based on the version your phone was at (9.18.X). And, there is NO way to carry root over the OTA. Voodoo doesn't work with Kit Kat at all, and there is just no other way to keep root on locked bootloaders, period.
So, either hold off on the Kit Kat update and pray someone finds a way to root it for locked bootloaders, or else if you can't wait, then realize you may never see root on this phone again.

My bad for not realizing that.
Are you still getting the dead Andy screen after applying the OTA? If so, then you need to go back into the recovery as you did before and then apply the OTA again. This is a two-step process, especially if you applied the OTA manually rather than taking it automatically.
It's still waiting to continue the update for the OTA. So, go back into recovery and navigate to where you stored the OTA zip file on your external SD card and then apply it again and you should be good to go.

At that point when it reboots, it should continue on and you should see the android picture again as it continues on installing. This is the second stage of the install and can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Are you saying it just keeps rebooting at that point and never completes? If so, then you need to go here and follow SamuriHL's directions to the letter to get you up and running -> http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/45494-how-to-xt926-upgrade-to-kitkat-ota/

Were you rooted at any point in time? If so, did you flash back to stock? Just uninstalling root will not work.
Your phone must be completely stock with no evidence of it being modified in order for the OTA to work. Rooting is one thing that will modify it to where an OTA will not take.
I had explained earlier that if you rooted and/or froze/removed any system/stock apps, you must use an FXZ image to put your phone back to stock. The link I supplied you with in that previous post will give you a stock Kit Kat image to flash to your phone. That is what you must do.

the razr utility has been updated since you started this thread, to KK.
just go back to the utility post from before, and you will see the new KK version at the bottom.
use it the same way you used the old one and you will be on stock KK. its the same as taking the ota update.
Hi there:
I've been following this thread, as I'm in a similar situation. I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with either rooted JB or unrooted KK, but just wanted to confirm.
Here's what I have:
-Phone: Razr HD
-System version: 9.18.94.XT926 (VZW US)
-Android: 4.1.2
-Rooted
-Locked bootloader
I'd love some clarifications/confirmations on the following, if anyone has them:
-There is no way to downgrade the system version to an unlockable version (like 9.16). Not even with flashing back to stock everything with the Droid Razr HD Utility.
-There is currently no way to root KK without an unlocked bootloader.
-If I unroot (flash back to stock) and upgrade, I will lose root and likely not get it back.
-The only way for me to currently keep root is to stay on JB.
I'm not interested in custom ROMs, just root.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
I'm currently on 4.3 / VRUCML1, but would like to upgrade to KitKat. I actually dont mind TouchWiz and really just looking for a deodexed, debloated 4.4.x ROM. I've searched and read a bunch of articles here, but I'm still having a difficult time determining if there's an official ROM I can upgrade to that wont lock my bootloader. Is there a good option for this?
If there isnt a good option Im wondering if I should I just upgrade to something like 4.4 SuperLiteRom / VRUDNE1 knowing I'll be locked in? Im planning to upgrade my phone in the next few months anyway, so that wouldnt be the worst thing if thats my only option. If I do go this route, whats the recommended upgrade path? Go right to loading SuperLite? Or revert to stock, update OTA, then goto SuperLite?
Thanks in advance!!

Could someone clarify this (or point me to someplace that does) for me?
Thanks!

There is no rom available that won't lock your bootloader. They can't get a 4.4 rom to boot without the 4.4 stock kernel, so you're limited up to 4.3.

You would need to Odin flash kitkat stock rom first, then install through safestrap.
Just realize that once you do that you're stuck, there's no going back.

I am on 4.3 AllianceROM. I rooted and unlocked the phone before they came out with the official 4.3 update that, from my understanding, locks KNOX. Am I correct in assuming that I cannot load a newer version of Android on this phone unless I lock the bootloader? Are there no CM or ASOP options available?
I know this is lame but I want to put Pokemon Go on it and I need 4.4 for it to run.
Any suggestions?

If you're bootloader unlocked you're fine, lots of AOSP 5.0 Roms available.
Just follow directions to update the modem without locking your bootloader.
