No
Verizon is based on CDMA where AT&T uses GSM network. The two networks are not interchangeable.

I see Amazon selling the unlocked Samsung Note and mostly all people who bought it are on At&t. I was wondering would this work with Sprint newtwork. I guess At&t and Sprint are on different networks. I saw that At&t guys had to change theie APN.

No. Sprint uses CDMA which means no SIM cards. The note will only work on AT&T, T-mobile, and basically every other network in the world besides Verizon and Sprint.
Hello everyone,
I just picked up a sidekick 4g I would like to use this phone on Verizon's 4g CDMA network, what would it take to switch this phone to accept CDMA?

Unless I'm misinformed, this is not possible at all. Sidekick 4G is a GSM phone, which will only allow it to work on other GSM carriers. Unfortunately, Verizon is not one of them. Sorry.

You're correct. The best carrier to use the Sidekick on in the US is T-Mobile.
I got a SIM unlock code from T-Mobile, and now I can use it on any GSM network worldwide. There are also other ways of unlocking it. But it definitely does not work on CDMA. Phonearena.com is your friend: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/T-Mobile-Sidekick-4G_id5158. Always check the specs before you buy a phone to make sure it will work with your carrier. Even if a phone will work on CDMA, that doesn't mean it will work on Verizon. For example, the Nexus 5 has CDMA but will work only on Sprint-based networks (in addition to GSM), not Verizon.
no its just GSM..
Hi!
I'm planning to buy the Moto G from Verizon, the $99 Walmart/BestBuy one, but will I be able to activate it with a carrier other than Verizon that uses CDMA?
As I don't live in USA it would be useless as a phone, thanks in advance.

You can't unlock the bootloader on the Verizon version, therefore you can not activate with another carrier.
You can however get the Boost Moto G and activate with another carrier.
I'm not sure what you mean that it would be useless as a phone because you don't live in the USA...
Why would you want a CDMA version if you don't live in the US? I would much rather use the GSM version of the Moto G but GSM coverage is fairly lacking where I live in Southwest US.. Cheers.
I live near the frontier with the USA, so I thought it could be easy to buy a Verizon Moto G and activate it here in Mexico with Iusacell, as it is a CDMA carrier. Looks like I'll have to buy the Boost Mobile one.
Thanks You! :good:
I thought it could be activated with Iusacell, as this guy said he did it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51014678&postcount=5
Hello,
I have a Verizon M8 that i'm using with AT&T. Is there a way to convert my Verizon M8 to AT&T so that I can get LTE? Or can I at least flash the AT&T radio? I noticed this video shows a method for converting Verizon M8 to Tmobile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GhybCyd4Pg He is getting Tmobile LTE with Verizon M8 no problem.
If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great!
This phone doesn't have the bands for At&t LTE. Best you would get is HSPA+.

Yes I know it doesn't have compatible bands for AT&T LTE. It doesn't have compatible bands for Tmobile LTE either, but someone demonstrated how to convert it so now he's using the Verizon M8 and is able to get Tmobile LTE without a problem. So there seems to be a way.
I figured it out. For anyone else out there that has a Verizon M8 and are using it on AT&T, you can convert your phone to the AT&T variant. I'm getting LTE but not constantly, it switches between LTE and HSDPA but it's staying mostly on LTE. Yay!

Hey there. I posted how I did it somewhere in the AT&T forum. I'm not sure where the post is though as it's been a few months and I don't have the M8 anymore. I sold it and bought a One Plus One, then sold that and bought a Note 4, so that was a couple of phones ago.
Hi,
My friend gave me an used Motorola XT557. HW V4.0. It was a Republic Wireless phone and he is not using it anymore and his contract expired. Because it is a CDMA phone, can I use it with other CDMA carriers? such as Verizon, Sprint, or those CDMA prepaid wireless providers? Or I have to tweak the OS/ROM in order to do that? Thank you for your help.

Probably not with Verizon. Possibly with Sprint, since Republic uses their network. The best people to ask would be Verizon or Sprint themselves.
