Live mail change 'from' address

I have my Live mail set up to be able to send email from two different email addresses (mine or my dad's), because sometimes he will have some important business email to send and doesn't feel like sending it (figures... he has an iPhone, hehe)
I want to be able to send an email from his email, but through my account. I can see this option when I access my account online, but not from my phone (Samsung Focus, Live account set as main account)
Is there any way to do this? Or is my only option to setup my dad's account on my phone as well?
yeah, If you already have access to his email, then I would just add his email to the phone. You can select to sync only email, and select to sync manually, so you wouldn't have to get notices for every email he receives.

[Q] How to keep email offline

Hi all
I have problem with my email, when i down email from my company server in device but don't keep it after delete mail on mail server.
thanks
Most likely you're using an Exchange server and the IMAP4 Protocol. IMAP has synchronized email inboxes, so deleting an email on the server should delete the email from all synched inboxes (your phone).
Maybe try setting up a POP3/STMP account, I guess that could work if you want your email inboxes to be not syncrhronized.

[Q] gMail vs eMail?

I'm a newbie with smart phones. I'm coming from a dumb phone and just ordered a Nexus 5. Looking at Nexus 5 specs and stock apps, I don't understand why the Nexus 5 has an Email app and a Gmail app. Isn't Gmail, e-mail? Why does Google separate e-mails? I have Gmail accounts, AOL e-mail accounts and Time Warner (Road Runner) e-mail accounts. Can I send and receive all my accounts in my Gmail app? Can I send and receive all my accounts in my Email app? Isn't all e-mail, e-mail? I don't understand the separation. Is Google making e-mailing, unnecessarily complicated? Are some e-mail accounts blocked out from one app or the other?
The gmail app is only for GMail, and is highly optimised for GMail. For example, it has the tabbed inbox (General, Social, Promotions, Updates, and Forums).
The email app is for any e-mail (POP or IMAP). Of course you can use the email app for GMail through the IMAP feature in GMail, but you won't get the optimised experience.

Use Email app to add all your email accounts.
But, if I were you I would start phasing out the AOL and RR email acounts and only use Gmail, this use only Gmail app.
I did this a few years ago and set an auto-forward on all my RR email. Whenever I would get an email sent to RR, I would update my profile's email on that account/service/website's. I now have one email and have the additional features that someone already mentioned above.

How to change "FROM" when replying to a email within the GMAIL app?

I use the default GMAIL app for my email. I have three email accounts, all linked to each other. When I receive an email sent to my personal account "PERSONAL", I want to reply from a secondary account "SECONDARY" or from my business account "BUSINESS". When I open the email and select reply, the FROM gmail account is fixed. There is no drop down shown so I can change the FROM address.
Question: How can I reply to the email with one of my other email linked accounts?
Thank you for your time
Bob
Default GMAIL app? Is that the one from the ROM, or the google GMail app from playstore?
This one works just like it should: GMail
btw: This doesn't seem like a specific s7 question...

If an email is sent to your personal account, you can't reply to it from a different account. You would need to first forward the email to your Secondary account, and then reply to it.

Need Email App that Handles Multiple Contacts

Hi I have a friend that has converted from an iPhone to a S8
they are liking the new experience that Android is giving, but one thing they are missing the functionality of the iOS mail APP,
where you can have multiple email accounts (Exchange,Gapps,Gmail) and you could send an email from any one of the accounts and all the associated contacts where in 1 global address book.
ie. so they could send an email from the Exchange account and when typing the email address they were able to select a email contact from the Gapps email account,
i know the stock Samsung Email app has this functionality but it dosent list all emails for an exchange account, which is an issue.
is there an email app on the playstore that has this functionality?
thanks
