Stuck in download mode!! - AT&T LG G2

Today i decided to root my D800 but i had the 20u version and had to downgrade. After downloading the .tot and .DLL files along with LG Flash Tool i ran it and added the files where they needed to be added.
Well after i changed the COM port and it finally started i heard my PC disconnect something... well it was my phone. What shocks me i have a perfectly good USB cable and it shouldn't have fallen out or anything. Well i ignored it thinking it was my Bluetooth dongle because it always reconnects for some reason.
Well when i checked on my phone again the phone's display said COM 41 but was at 0% and the flash tool was at 10% saying 'PRIMARYGP'
Well here is what the last 4 lines in the log says
Code:
[21:28:55] Partition erase Success
[21:28:55] Set Progress bar 10
[21:28:55] PRIMARYGPT
[21:28:55] Start Write "PRIMARYGPT" partition
[21:31:44] Clear ALL NV Instance of NV Storage Current Storage size=36744
[21:31:44] Successfully Clear NV Storage
I attempted to do this a couple other times and it always freezes right at that point. I look all over and found nothing relating to this issue. I tried the stock recovery and it only goes back to download mode. I tried everything but it's stuck in download mode.
I attached the log file to the post if this could help any
::::::::::::::::::::::UPDATE::::::::::::::::::::::
I put the DLL to the root of the flash tool folder and it got a step futher saying MODEM
Code:
[ 2:33: 8] Finish Write "PRIMARYGPT" partition Written 524288 bytes
[ 2:33: 8] MODEM
[ 2:33: 8] Start Write "MODEM" partition
[ 2:37:14] Clear ALL NV Instance of NV Storage Current Storage size=36744
[ 2:37:14] Successfully Clear NV Storage
Then it froze again. I got a step further but what could be doing this. I'd prefer to fix this myself rather than send it in for a repair (considering i never actually rooted it..) I'm about to try a new .DLL and see if that work.

[Q] superpad III original firmware

Hi all,
I recently purchase a Flytouch3 from efox-shop with the following specification:
flytouch 3 X210 Jpad 10,2 " Zoll Tablet PC Infotm flytouch3 Android2.2 WIFI GPS und Kamera HDMI 512M 1 GHz 4GB Superpad
This is the actual site I procured it from is efox-shop and search for the above item.
It arrived in a box, stating superpad III on the side and only a frontal picture on the top.
However, when I installed Launcher Pro, and reverted it back afterwards to the INFOTM launcher, I remained with the black screen, only the taskbar was visible. I tried to update the firmware to that one of Tim, but it would not take any update directly from the SD card, I tried almost all versions around this forum.
The boot screen states INFOTMIC 0.6.1.5 (578), I'm able to flash it to this of to 0.6.1.2 (578). Before that I had: 0.6.1.5()
I can have it to communicate with my PC and burntool recognises it.
Now I'm looking to the correct files to flash back to the original format. The following details were in the original firmware:
model number: SAWEE10
Android version: 2.2 v2.1:#3925
Kernal version: 2.6.32.9 infotmic_infotmic-desktop #14
Build number: FRF85B
Is there somebody that can help me restoring my device???
Currently the device hangs at the INFOTMIC screen, and does not continue. Pressing bak+home+power brings me to the restore menu, but then it hangs at 1 second. Pressing within the 5 seonds back+home, it give a message that no recovery is found, try from SD.
With a bootable SD card I can have it start to update with a folder "android" on the SD card with the image files on it. However, the pad hangs during the "updating image linux-2.6.32.9" step. It can be there for very long time without any progress.
Anybody any ideas, suggestions, help.
Thanks already!!!
I encounter the same things :
"Currently the device hangs at the INFOTMIC screen, and does not continue. Pressing bak+home+power brings me to the restore menu, but then it hangs at 1 second. Pressing within the 5 seonds back+home, it give a message that no recovery is found, try from SD."
Nothing knows how to update this freakin f***ing superpad III ?
Mine is blocked cause i try to update with a micro sd bootable card, now it block on strat at "android" text and do nothing more...
Help plz !
I have this model too (SAWEE10) and I search every android forum on how to activate recovery process (something about zsys.img), no found.
Yes, this model can't boot from usual SDCARD, and thus we need bootable sdcard, googling around and we end up with creating a 704 MB sdcard and a folder name android.
I successfully boot from this bootable SDCARD, but I can't find a correct combination of uImage, ramdisk.img, and system.img (and optionally userdata.img). Flashing with SDCARD or burntool or IUW result the same, flashing system.img and userdata.img failed.
Currently my superpad III stops at ANDROID _, and I still find the correct *.img or a single *.ius file to burn.

I've got the firmware in the form of update.zip, so it must be flashed using recovery mode, and this just don't work, as my previous post, it said something missing/invalid about zsys.img, so I've converted it to the *.img form using ubuntu mtd-utils (basically it needs gzip, cpio, mkimage and mkyaffs2image), but as usual, updating/flashing system.img and userdata.img resultin FAILED....
Finally after a full of a week researching here and there, I've manage to hack the ramdisk.img to produce the exact problem, and here they are:
- dump the dmesg and /proc/mtd, resulting the actual RAM that's 256MB (ads says it's 512, however, after successfully running on SDCARD --more on this later, the system reporting it's actually 512MB of RAM), and the processor is X210.
- no NAND found! (cat /proc/mtd), so that's why we can't write the system.img/userdata.img, where to write? I've managed to get the original dump of kernel (mtdblock1), and via dmesg I could finally see the NAND partition. So, the most important here is the ORIGINAL kernel to identify the NAND partition (still dunno if it's actually sdcard or it's nand flash). Check the output of /proc/mtd, resulting the correct information of mtd0 - mtd7, but again, manual flashing to the mtd3 (system), still a no go...
- hacking the init.rc, I've managed to run Froyo via SDCARD! Somewhere in this forum someone has done it also...., by this method, we can update the system partition with any firmware release (tim, sol, official, whatever), just extract the firmware-discovery, and then extract the system.tar(.gz) into the system partition on SDCARD.
- I've tried to manually (from working froyo on SDCARD) mounting /dev/block/mtdblock3 and extract/copy the system.img/system.tar.gz into it, and change the init.rc to mount it as /system, but still the tablet hang on ANDROID _ (or whatever screen animation logo), although when I checked via SDCARD, I actually see the partition is there with the complete structure of /system partition (no lost, and it actually written in the NAND system block).
- Tried different partition from NAND to handle the /cache, /data and /local and it's running, so confusing.... only the /system from NAND has the problem. So my last scheme is /system from mmcblk0p2 (SDCARD), and the others are from NAND (/data, /cache and /local). Maybe I need to flash_erase the NAND, but still didn't find a pre-compiled working file (flash_erase, flashcp, etc) to try. I've tried to cross compile the mtd-tools and copying to the sdcard, but when I run them, resulting segmentation fault(!), maybe need some libs or what...
- Although I can run froyo from SDCARD, I've got a random freeze/hang and had to (hard) reset, or an instant quit in the middle of running when I play some games or programs, maybe need to tweak some memory options, or it's something about SDCARD speed and quality. However, this is the best result I can get this time, at least it works, buddy

The sequence of my problem was. There was the original firmware on the device: Firmware Froyo 2.2 v2.1 # 3925 downloader 0.6.1.5 (). Connect 3G modem failed. Reading the forums decided to flash the deb-r2.1.1623_update_zip, but in the recovery menu, exit failed. Device to respond only to the home center, and home at the top and press power. Found information that the modem is connected and the firmware 3245. Flashed through the cable. Hanging on android_. That is until this point I have repeatedly easily rolled away for 3925. Then put all the firmware on the queue, even managed to get recovery menu substitution ramdisk.img. But the firmware deb-r2.1.1623_update_zip well established with an error. I immediately thought of one feature. When the tablet was still alive, when you install Navitel, tested on multiple devices, this would not work. As it turned out the system at boot mounted sdcard, sdcard1 and sdcard2. At the same time on sdcart not create folders NavitelContent. I copied it from sdcart1 (top slot) and Navitel run. After rebooting, sdcard folder NavitelContent reinstall. I think maybe because of this feature when writing firmware sdcard.img it is not completely installed, and because of that all the problems?

[Q] How to fix INVALID IME (MTK MT6589M) ??? - Reward for solution

Guys, lets solve this. I tried almost everything, so It's not going to be easy, but I don't want to think its impossible.
Lets begin, my phone (Intex Aqua i-5) doesn't recognize any SIM Card, IMEI is invalid and Baseband version Unknown . The problem occurred when I flashed wrong recovery, somehow I got it working again by removing battery for half an hour, and holding power key for a minute before that, then flashed proper CWM recovery again via MobileUncle Tool.
Phone does not charge when it is turned off. To make things worse I found out that my nandroid backup (stock backup) is damaged. Here is the log of files that i have (boot.img and recovery.img are missing - problem with online nandorid backup script).
Files Backed-up:
"----rwxr-x 1 11264 Dec 8 02:21 cache.ext4.tar
----rwxr-x 1 530526720 Dec 8 02:21 data.ext4.tar
----rwxr-x 1 1024 Dec 8 02:18 modem.img
----rwxr-x 1 191 Dec 8 02:22 nandroid.md5
----rwxr-x 1 553781248 Dec 8 02:19 system.ext4.tar"
So obviusly when i try to restore it , since files are missing it gives me an error at the begging.
This is IMPORTANT: Cant recover IMEI via PC (my usb port is broken (charging part is working but cant connect to PC, pins for data transfer are damaged). So IT'S NOT AN OPTION.
But can transfer files from PC to Phone - Wifi transfer. So need to recover IMEI trough phone! (there is numerous methods I've tried, gonna list them below).
1. Engineer mode, - CDS info, Radio info, AT COMMAND - AT+EGMR=1,7,"1234567890XXX15" (tried variations with empty space before AT or before + , not working, gives me an error "AT command failed at sent ".
2. Tried to generate original IMEI on the computer with different "cmd IMEI generators" , write it to MP0B_001 file, transfer to phone, set permissions for it, transfer it to data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI and replace file at destination with custom one (tried next variations of this: all this but at the and making IMEI backup with MobileUncle Tools and restoring it, also tried different MP0B_001 generators, different permissions, tried deleting original file in NVD_IMEI folder first, then copying new one, etc). --- NO SUCCESS.
3. Tried MTK65xx apk software for changing IMEI , NO SUCCESS. - got error msg: "pttycmd1 device NOT found!" (eventualy i figured out how to make pttycmd1 file in dev folder, more about that at next line).
4. Figured out that I can create pttycmd1 at dev folder. Done that by Installing terminal emulator in the phone, writing for SIM 1 line of code: echo AT+EGMR=1*7*“my original IMEI number” >/dev/pttycmd1 and for SIM 2 this line: echo AT+EGMR=1*10*“my original IMEI2 number” >/dev/pttycmd1- AND VOILA pttycmd1 is created in dev folder, that should be solution according to many people, but after reboot, pttycmd1 is missing again, and sure IMEI is still INVALID. (tried different permissions for pttycmd1 file and even dev folder but regardless of it after reboot there is no pttycmd1 file anymore)
5. Someone suggested that after deleting nvram folder system will create new automatically and that will fix IMEI, first part is happening, system creates new folder with everything in it but no IMEI or Baseband or anything.
6. Someone posted modem images with meta inf for flashing on every MT6589M phone, successfully flashed different versions but no luck.
7. Stock ROM will be solution I believe but there is no STOCK ROM for my phone on the net, except one versionjust for SP flash tool, and my nandorid stock backup doesn't work , started another thread HERE in hope someone will upload stock ROM for my phone that is flashable with cwm.
I probably tried few other things but cant recall now.
My phone is rooted, there is custom ROM on it. (MIUI V5 FOR INTEX AQUA I-5 ). And CWM recovery for this ROM. ((CWM v5.5.0.4 ).
I will give little reward to someone with the right WORKING solution via PayPal (10 € / Euro), its all I can give at the moment.
hi,
did you check here ?? http://www.needrom.com/category/others/i-j-k-l/intex-i-j-k-l/
you may find a rom for your phone. maybe you can use another computer to Flash. good luck.

I ASSUME THAT THE PERSON READING THIS THREAD/ARTICLE IS FAMILIAR WITH WHAT IS ROOTING AND ITS RISKS. ITS YOUR OWN RISK TO ROOT YOUR PHONE AND INSTALL
CUSTOM RECOVERY OR CUSTOM ROM. ITS YOUR CHOICE. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKED PHONE ARISING OUT OF THE PROCESS/OBSERVATION FOLLOWED IN THIS THREAD
THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR THOSE:
=> KNOW HOW TO USE TOOLS LIKE MTK DROID TOOLS AND SP FLASH TOOLS
=> HAVE ISSUES OR DIFFICULTIES OR ERRORS WHILE ROOTING OR INSTALLING CUSTOM RECOVERY
BASED ON THE ABOVE POINTS, PLEASE PROCEED FURTHER
FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE FACING LOT OF DIFFICULTIES ROOTING AND UPDATING CUSTOM RECOVORY ON LENOVO P780 PHONE
THESE ARE JUST MY OBSERVATION, THE DIFFICULTIES AND ERRORS I FACED AND HOW I FOUND WAYS AROUND THEM IN DUE COURSE.
I WONT GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU, BUT IT MAY, MOST PROBABLY OR GIVE YOU MORE HELP IN SOME PARTICULAR SITUATIONS.
FIRST THINGS FIRST. DO IT WITHOUT FAIL
PLEASE KEEP A FACTORY IMAGE BACKUP OF YOUR WORKING PHONE BY USING SP FLASH TOOL. STORE IT ON A SEPARATE DRIVE OTHER
THAN PHONE MEMORY/PHONE SD CARD. PROCESS THIS ROM IMAGE WITH MTKDroid TOOL BEFORE DOING ANY KIND OF WRITE OPERATION ON YOUR PHONE
TAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR CONTACTS, MESSAGES, IMEI, PHOTOS/VIDEOS, PERSONAL STUFF, SETTINGS ETC AND STORE THEM ON YOUR DESKTOP/LAPTOP/EXTERNAL DRIVE
GENERALLY GOOD PRACTICE IS TO TAKE ALL SORT OF BACKUP FROM THE ACTUAL PHONE ITSELF BEFORE DOING ANY WRITE OPERATIONS.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF CHINESE MEDIATEK PHONES FOR WHICH FINDING PROPER IMAGE IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE
THERE IS NO BETTER FRIEND THAN A FACTORY IMAGE TAKEN OUT OF YOUR OWN WORKING PHONE. YOU WONT REGRET
PHONE MENTIONED THROUGHOUT THE THREAD:
LENOVO P780 8 GB MODEL. Bought in INDIA 2013
Android version : 4.4.2
Baseband version : P780.V24, 2015/01/06 09:40
Build number : P780_ROW_8G_S228_150112
IMPORTANT PREPARATION AND GROUND WORK
FIRST OF ALL HAVE LOADS OF PATIENCE. DO NOT HURRY IN TO DOING THINGS FAST AND REPENT LATER. DEVOTE LOTS OF TIME TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS
READ EVERYTHING AND WATCH ALL RELEVANT INTERNET VIDEOS FULLY, CAREFULLY AND PROPERLY.
DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE A COMPLETE FACTORY IMAGE BACKUP OF YOUR PHONE USING SP FLASH TOOL. PROCESS THE IMAGE WITH MTKDroid TOOL. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
1. Have a reliable PC or Laptop. I have rooted and updated custom recovery on my phone using Win 8.1 laptop.
Hence I would prefer a PC/Notebook with windows OS(7/8.1) installed. It is easier to find software and drivers for windows.
2. Connect your switched ON phone to PC and verify if it is detected properly by your PC.
You should be able to access the phone storage and SD card if any
3. Ensure your phone is always USB debugging mode enabled.
4. Use a tool like "usbdview" to clean up errant drivers first. Have a clean device manager at beginning.
5. Ensure you have installed proper ADB drivers. Check in device manager you should have something like "ADB interface" with no yellow triangle.
That means your drivers are properly installed. If finding drivers are difficult use PDAnet or search for universal ADB drivers and install them correctly
6. Preloader or VCOM drivers should be installed correctly. The one which worked perfectly for me was the one which I saw in You Tube by ITXTutor.
Search for "How to Install MTK Preloader 65xx Driver Correctly - Windows 8.1 64bit approved ! [HD]-PAxTCvRmlio" in You Tube.
Go Through the tutorial and download files from there. Do it exactly as it says in the tutorial.
[NOTE : IF YOUR ANTI VIRUS BLOCKS MTKDroid TOOL CREATE AN EXCEPTION]
7. Download MtkDroidTools-v2.5.3 tools on your PC. Once downloaded run the application as administrator. Switch ON your phone
Connect phone to PC. Take screen shot of MtkDroid tool application with your phone details. Create a scatter file and save it.
During this process MTKDroid showed only one error
04/06/15 14:09:29 ATTENTION!
04/06/15 14:09:29 File /system/recovery-from-boot.p which restore factory recovery in case of phone switching on in a normal mode Is Found!
[NOTE : I CAN SAY CONFIDENTLY YOU CAN IGNORE THIS ERROR. IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING THAT LENOVO USES TO ENFORCE ITS OWN RECOVERY IMAGE. THIS ERROR
FURTHER CREATES SOME PROBLEM DURING ROM IMAGE PROCESSING.]
8. Download SP Flash Tool v5.1352.01. Run the tool as administrator. Open the scatter file saved in previous step.
Go to Readback. Do a complete readback on phone. Start address always from 0x0000. Wait until READ back completes. It may take 15 to 30 minutes
and you end up with atleast 700MB size file.
My backup was 1 GB. Less than 700 MB means, there is some issue with read back. The factory image of kitkat which came as OTA was more than 700 MB.
Don't continue. Retry readback properly. You might have missed or incorrectly done some procedure(for e.g. wrong end address).
9. Once read back is complete, Run MtkDroidTools-v2.5.3 tools on your PC. Connect phone(switched on) to your PC.
Go to "root, backup, recovery" tab. Click on "To process ROM_ file from Flash Tool".
It will pop up asking to load the ROM image which you made in previous step.
Load that image. MTK should automatically start processing image.
At this point I got error as follows
05/06/15 19:16:27 --- Kernel Block Map to PMT mismatch!
05/06/15 19:16:27 -------------------------------------------

05/06/15 19:16:27 -------------------------------------------
DON'T WORRY ABOUT THIS ERROR AS WELL. LET THE PROCESS CONTINUE
MTKDroid TOOL will ask if you need to make a CWM recovery automatically, click no and one more window will pop up, press cancel.
[NOTE : EVEN IF YOU SELECT YES TO MAKE CWM RECOVERY, MTKDroid TOOL WILL THROW MORE ERROR AS COPIED BELOW.
IT WONT CREATE CWM RECOVERY IMAGE. HOWEVER PROCESS WILL COMPLETE]
05/06/15 19:16:34 --- ERROR :No find KernelGZ
05/06/15 19:16:34 --- ERROR :No Split Boot Image
Because of PMT mismatch error Flash tool will create two scatter files.
MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and
MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt.
MTK Log is as below.
05/06/15 19:16:27 --- scatter from PMTis write to the file:
C:\Users\..\Desktop\MtkDroidTools-v2.5.3\backups\Lenovo-P780_150112_ForFlashtoolFromReadBack_150605-191615\MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt
05/06/15 19:16:27 - Use it if SP FlashTool errors of 8038 or 4050 occurs
The entire processed ROM file will be kept in backups directory of MtkDroidTools directory. Ensure you make a copy of this for safe keeping. This
is very important especially MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt file will be very useful later.
[WHY YOU NEED TO DO ALL THESE FIRST IS BECAUSE IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE, EVEN A SOFT BRICK, MTKDroid TOOL IS VERY MUCH USELESS.
THIS TOOL WORKS ONLY IF YOUR PHONE IS SWITCHED ON AND BOOTED TO HOMESCREEN. MTKDroid USES ADB DRIVERS TO CONNECT WITH PHONE AND NOT VCOM DRIVERS.
IF PHONE IS NOT DETECTED BY MTKDroid THEN PROCESSING ROM IMAGE WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE. THAT OPTION WILL BE DISABLED ON THE MTKDroid TOOL.
SO NO SCATTER FILES, NO RECOVERY, BOOT, PRELOADER IMAGES, ETC, OF YOUR PHONE. SO BE VERY CAREFUL]
------------------- PROCEED FURTHER ONLY AFTER IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED ABOVE TASKS -------------------------
NOW ACTUAL PROCESS OF ROOTING AND CUSTOM RECOVERY STARTS
FIRST THING YOU WILL HAVE TO TRY IS ROOT THE PHONE USING FREELY AVAILABLE TOOLS
1. I tried various methods of rooting but, not one worked on Lenovo P780.
framaroot, towelroot, iroot, root genius, geno, mobogenie and many more didn't work.
Finally the latest version of Kingoroot did succeed to some extent.
2. Kingoroot version which worked partially was 1.3.8.2338
By partially, I mean kingo app did say Root was successful on both PC and phone. However Root checker application said "Root is not properly installed"
Application like SuperSU and busybox did not work after installation due to improper rooting.
[TRICK : DO A FACTORY REST]
3. I booted the phone in to FACTORY recovery. Did a "Factory Reset"
Now things started to brighten up!! The ever tough Lenovo P780 started to give in slowly and steadily.
After Factory reset done and phone booted up. The first thing I did was to take SP flash tool Readback once again, so that I have a clean factory image.
you may skip read back if you don't need a clean image.
4. Used another rooting application this time, i.e., iRoot older version 1.7.9.2
Viola!!! phone got rooted properly this time.
Root checker showed "Root Available", busybox and other applications started working.
NOW WE HAVE ROOT ACCESS TRY INSTALLING CUSTOM RECOVERY
[NOTE : EVEN IF YOUR PHONE DOES NOT GET ROOTED BY 3RD PARTY APPLICATION READ ON THERE IS STILL HOPE]
1. MOST HELPFUL LINK ESPECIALLY FOR ROOTING CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLATION IS GIVEN BELOW
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/rooting-tutorial-kitkat-t2835605
IF ROOT FAILED FOR YOU USE TUTORIAL IN LINK TO ROOT AND TRY. THAT IS A DIFFERENT PROCESS. BUT FIRST CUSTOM RECOVERY
2. Go through the link fully. Get a good understanding. No need to do it exactly as it says. A little bit of tweak worked for me,.
3. I first tried to overwrite the factory recovery with the same factory recovery image that I backed up earlier, to see how it goes.
It is always good to try this as a first step to write using flash tool. Use the scatter files and recovery image from back up.
Here's the sequence of steps I tried.
a) Using SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1352.01, Tried to overwrite only the recovery image again with same factory image(download only). Note I used
MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt scatter file which was created from my phone from MTK droid tools.
I got error from flash tool
"PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded"
Error number 8038. The image was not downloaded
b) Now I realized why MTKdroid tool created another scatter file MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt. It was for this issue.
I retried the same steps again, but now with MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt file. Flash tool downloaded the factory recovery image successfully.
I powered on the phone, but was shocked to see it was not booting up. It came to lenovo logo and displayed error something like "DL install failed"
It was never booting up. It was SOFT BRICKED!!!!
How come with just overwriting factory recovery image again with same image.... I don't know reason for that.
Even a simple, harmless operation of overwriting factory image caused a soft brick.
This is the main reason WHY do a complete read back and relevant back up before starting write operations!!!!
I tried several other scatter files along with TWRP and CWM recovery images downloaded from the internet. I tried with all scatter files from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/rooting-tutorial-kitkat-t2835605. It did not work.
c) Finally after several attempts, the working combination for me was a little surprise.
I tried MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt file created from my phone, along with SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119_lenovo and TWRP_v2.7.1.1_P780_ROW_KK_Corrected
both downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/rooting-tutorial-kitkat-t2835605
Select DA DL check box and do a download only.
This combination worked. Now I have a fully rooted and TWRP installed on my Lenovo P780.
Hope this helps!!!

UNZIP ALL WITH WINDOWS UNZIPPER EXCEPT SYSTEM.IMG system img is to go into the external sd card
File Path Should Look like this /storage/external_SD/DominicLGSTYLOB_S-V1.img
Files you will need the system.img being 2.5GB found at HERE
LG Drivers To install do not recommend using any other onesHERE
Send_Commands Unzip and proceed with instructions HERE
1.Place downloaded system.img to your external SD via adapter or through a Android running 4.0 n below without mtp you have or it will fail transferring to the SD card because it timed out
2.Now place SD back into your phone
3.Reboot your device into download mode pop out battery then pop it back in press and hold the volume up and plug in the phone into your pc
4.Download this folder and unzip it to your desktop:
5.Run ports.bat from within the extracted folder, to find your correct port (use the one with: LGVZANDNETDIAG1)Usually when your first installing the drivers and your looking at the progress it will briefly show the port number for you
5.In the Send_Command folder hold shift and right click and choose open command windows here
Please open notepad to make this easier on you
Copy all commands and erase the (Your Port #) in the code and then copy and paste everything that is on this
6
Code:
Send_Command.exe \\.\COM(your Port #)
7
Code:
dd if=/storage/external_SD/DominicLGSTYLOB_S-V1.img bs=8192 seek=42816 count=327680 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0
you will see a flashing _ line wait about 3-5 minutes and it should show up a # sign once that shows up
8
Code:
LEAVE
Your Device will reboot and it will take about 5-10 minutes to boot because it has to optimise all the apps 167 to be exact to be done
Have fun you can uninstall anything i installed on es file manager if you would like the hotspot please go into /system/APN+LTE Settings - Installer then make sure root browser is enabled and it should show a file that says import to sml and then it gets cut off move it to the sd card then go into the shortcut master lite then menu then import then import again after you find the file then once that shows up go to the apn settings then grant supersu then on the once that has a green blimp saying your connected to it click it then scroll down to apn type here's what it should say if you want a free hotspot (warning if you don't have unlimited/unthrottled data you will use your data very quickly)i used 20GB my first day of using this data - Enhanced LTE is a bit too quick lol
APN TYPE
Code:
default,mms,dun
this will unlock your native tethering  :good::good: remember to hold the resent button and be connected to lte when you use this or it will say you need to pay a subscription 3G Users i'm sorry for you
ONLY IF YOU HAVE BAND 41 (TDD-LTE) Turn off band 25 on lte settings and band 26 also so you will have the fastest internet all the time

[Tutorial] Flash Stock System Image on Vowney Lite

I bricked my device last week with a stupid flash, and since then I've been looking for a solution flash the stock ROM back on it, and finally here is what I found! :victory:
It will overwrite your system, not the kernel, but I hope you did not touch that, it worked for me.
Requirements:
-Vowney Lite (bricked for more fun)
-SP flash tool, download here: https://mega.nz/#!uEtxzSqY!pKLnobqUsrELE8VtTQRYIMwSlCAcrcDdix-avGvwqv4
-MT6795 Scatter File, download here: https://mega.nz/#!xE0QSS4D!avdr3ARS5cIiwEU4iK8stLVFHiiUeGFYVwg3ndwWJEE
-My system image dump, download here: https://mega.nz/#!FVVhnJzC!r72wbSVdZrwp1NnPhTC2Qz9fmffJBIQMMNbbisJMndQ
-MTK preloader drivers installed, tutorial here: http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-71-1-1.html#.VstQKvHhChc
1. Turn off your device (probably done )
2. Launch SP flash tools
3. Load the scatter file you downloaded
4. Uncheck everything, then check system
5. In the location section of the system, find the system.img you downloaded
6. Click on Download
7. Plug your device
8. When the green check appears, quit SPFT
9. Boot in recovery mode, with power + volume up
10. Wipe Cache then Wipe Data
11. Reboot :fingers-crossed:
In the image system I dumped from my phone you will get root permission with SuperSU, Cerberus Anti theft as a System App (call 2356 for settings), and few of my settings, like faster animations in developper options etc
Tell me if you find out anything else.
Hi Luxumbra! Me again
Phone was messing around yesterday and not opening any apps/crashing, so thought i'd just do a stock flash.
I followed all the steps, however I couldn't get the preloader drivers on my computer. Im runnning windows 7 and when I head to device manager, I only have "MTP USB Device" and then subsequently trying to update the drivers shows up with "WIndows has determined the driver software is up to date".
I figured out that the problem was a corrupted microSD card, however I did unroot in the process and would like to flash your provided system image on! Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks, I followed the steps and unbricked my Vowney. In addition to checking System in step 4, I also checked Boot. The phone is up and running.
Thanks again!
Happy to help aLmoravado
