I've got a Chinese version of OPO. It should work with AWS WCDMA (band 4) in terms of official information. And the threads on OPO's international forum show that it does works with T-mobile or Wind. I really want to know what's the difference between Int OPO and Chn OPO. I have tried everything posted on official forum and it still cant work on Wind network. I'm so frustrated and really need help to fix this problem....

Hi all, it's been a while since I was last on XDA.
I recently received a One Plus One in Hong Kong and I am unable to tell if I got the China or the International Version.
I do not receive LTE in uptown Toronto but I do get LTE in downtown. This leads me to suspect this is a China device as it doesn't support band 7 lte.
I am currently using Virgin Mobile (Bell network) and I think Bell uses Band 4 and 7 LTE (Please correct if I am wrong).
Is there anyway I can tweak the phone software wise to enable LTE on the network? it really bothers me sometimes when I can't load a page instantly and instead have to wait for a good 8-10 seconds.
Thank you and happy holidays!
There's one very easy way to tell which version you have, the international version has Cyanogen branding on the back and the Chinese version doesn't.

Unfortunately, mine doesn't have the cm branding on it
Is there a way to enable those lte bands still?

It is IMPOSSIBLE that you get LTE on the Chinese version of the phone, you can't get it in downtown and not in uptown... You have it or you don't
Try here not sure since i am not following that thread anymore

That's really weird, I have the LTE signal in downtown but not uptown!
When I was using the HTC One, I was able to get LTE both down and uptown too!
Bump, thanks.

NOTE: I am on Rogers Wireless.
I get LTE in Markham, Richmond Hill (A lot of H+, little LTE rates compared to downtown), Mississauga (Also a little, but a lot of H+) and Downtown (97% LTE rates)

Flash the latest 44S or 38R modems. Get out of the stock ColorOS modem.

This is false information, they are both the same device. The modem just needs to be flashed out of the stock ColorOS modem.

I understand, I was confused before when I had 25R modem installed, I didn't get LTE much, and I switched between G, H and H+ when I was riding the GO Train.
There's no difference between the China and International models, except the Cyanogen branding. Just need to get out of ColorOS modem.
I can confirm this as I have a Black China Model OnePlus One, and the Limited Edition OnePlus One Bamboo (which is only available in China). I'm from Hong Kong too so I handed over 4 OnePlus Ones to my friends in Toronto, from Hong Kong.
That is very good news to me. I will search a bit regarding that modem.
Thank you!

Good luck man, hope you get better signal!
Just fyi, when I ran ColorOS modem, I got worse signal than CM11 modems, but no modem is the best, you should try a few from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/ref-oneplus-one-modem-collection-t2858734
You can see a chart to see the difference between the modem versions, as they all report the same values in About Phone.
Hi,
I'm new to posting on xda, been using it for advice for ages but this is the first time I haven't been able to find my answer. So I'm going to apologize if I've posted this in the wrong place or done anything else incorrectly right now.
I ordered an R7 plus from Taiwan and received it a few days ago. A great phone, i am entirely in love with it. I can put up with the bits of scattered chinese in the settings as i will be flashing cyanogen as soon as it's available. My problem however lies in the connectivity. I didnt know a whole lot about wireless data before ordering the phone, but what little I did know I applied to my research and found that all three variants of the phone should work on my providers network. I have the Taiwanese variant, which does supposedly support the 2100mhz, and 2600mhz frequencies, which i believe are bands 4 and 7, anyway, these two frequencies are the frequencies my provider uses. Rogers uses FDD with 2100 being up and 2600 being down. Yet in the phone settings when selecting which LTE band 4 and 7 arent options, there's USA Band (Im unsure what this really is, I assumed it was 4 because much of the us uses band 4), 6, 33, etc. And I havent been able to get LTE to work. The APN is configured correctly. All anyone's been able to tell me is that it should work. I can provide any more information you guys need, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: For more info- My provider is Rogers, i have also tried it on Bell (still only 3g), and Wind, which works the majority of Chinese phones and it didnt even pick up their network. Any advice would be great!
Hello XDA! Longtime lurker, first post.
I've got a Korean LG G3 and T-mobile service, which means LTE and 2G bands are off limits in the United States. I'm running CM12 as of a few days ago - when installing the new OS, I flashed a new radio baseband as well. It included an HSDPA band that I'd not seen before.
As a n00b, I'm confused as to where hardware becomes firmware becomes software. I've read many a post on the forum, but confusion remains. From this post it sounds as though with some patience and method, modifying my phone's firmware to include additional bands is possible but putsy.
In the case of the G3, there is a variant for each major US carrier. The T-mobile variant is the D851.
The question: can I flash the baseband radio/modem of a D851 onto my F400L and gain access to T-mobile's entire frequency set?
If you could point me in the right direction, I'd be much appreciative. Thanks and cheers.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Could I get a few more details, like exact model number, what country and carrier it is being used for?
Also, any modifications that were done thus far?
If the G2 came directly from your carrier, shouldn't be an issue. By the sounds like it, the phone was bought outright and imported.
Thanks!
LG G2

Hi,
Since you mention the USA, I am assuming that you are using a carrier there.
So the D802 is the European model. EU phones and North American carriers do not mix well (and vice versa). Although you could get 3G on AT&T in theory, since the bands match up. LTE with AT&T doesn't look compatible, and Neither 3G nor LTE look good with T-Mo.
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800)
3G 1700/2100 T-Mobile USA; 3G 850/1900 AT&T
4G LTE T-Mobile USA 700/1700/2100Mhz; 4G LTE AT& T 700/850/1700/1900Mhz
This thread may provide some pointers:

Feel free to ask any questions there as well.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Hello,
Im using Moto g4 plus 32gb version in USA which is bought in India few days ago. Also im using Lycamobile carrier here in USA. My problem is im not getting an LTE signal on my device while i changed settings to LTE recommended and others in my area are getting LTE signal for the same carrier. Am i missing something here or is the fault that i brought this device from India that's not supporting LTE bands in USA. Is there an app in playstore for network unlocking compatible to bands in the U.S. Could anyone please help resolve the issue.
P.S. i updated the device to Android N 7.0 through OTA after reaching U.S.A.
Check your compatibility with Lyca.
BTW, you're on thhe wrong forum.

PS: It's not compatible.
