Hey guys, is there a way to just Flash a stock Boost ROM instead of having to flash the stock firmware using PC?

From what I've found, this is the only flashable stock ROM:
http://androidforums.com/cdma-moto-...k-4-4-2-deodexed-unmodified-boost-mobile.html
I haven't tried flashing it, myself - when I need to go stock, I just flash the stock firmware via PC.
:good:

Thanks, will there be problems going from 4.4.4 to 4.4.2?

I couldn't tell you, to be honest.
Make a Nandroid, and if the flash fails, or you encounter issues, restore your backup.

Ok thanks, the last time I made a backup and did a wipe for the phone, my backup also go deleted. Does it only do that on TWP?

I use this recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639583
I haven't used TWRP on this device, so I couldn't tell you with complete certainty. PhilZ's recovery has an option to clean your device for flashing a new ROM (wipes data, system, dalvik, & cache). SD contents will remain untouched.

OK thanks very much

[Q] I did something bad in ICS

I thought I could flash a theme to the stock ICS leak. But apparently that doesn't work because it's not de-odexed. Is there a way to de-odex the stock ROM on my phone? If not, is there a way to undo my theme flash (I forgot to make a backup ). Or, can I go back to stock ICS by just flashing the Odin one click ICS leak?
If you're not worried about losing anything try factory reset. Sometimes themes will stick, if it does just flash through Odin and your good to go.

Yeah, I tried the factory reset. It didn't do anything. I'm not worried about losing data though. I have everything backed up with Titanium. So, I can flash directly from Odin without clearing cache, etc through CWM?
Themes do not work on odexed . Period. Flash one of the custom . Deodexed ics roms if u wsnt a theme
If u flash the collective ics rom . You will not loose data or anything. Just download and flash. It will sort out your issue. And give u a good rom check it out here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1548469
Its the 4.0.3 ics rom at the bottom of the op

I'm a little confused. Do I just flash it in CWM without wiping anything, or do I follow these instructions?
1. Make a nandroid backup, it is always a good idea
2. Have your apps backed-up with titanium
3. Downloadrom, and place onsd card
4. Shutdown, and boot to cwm recovery
5. Wipe data, wipe cache
6. Select mounts/storage, and choose format system
7. Flash rom
8. Fix permissions
9. Reboot.
10. Enjoy

Follow his 10 steps then restore your apps using titanium as step 11.

[Q] Restoring to Stock ROM on GT- P3100

Hi All,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 P3100,recently I rooted it and flashed Ubuntu,it was successful but I was unhappy with what Ubuntu offers me right now.
Now,I want to switch back to the backup which I created when I was on stock.
Will this work
Factory reset --> Wipe Dalvik Cache --> Wipe Everything --> Restore to Stock ROM (Backup)
Everywhere I see here, they mention downloading the stock rom and then installing it with odin. Is it needed? Can't we just restore to a backup with wiping everything?
Please advise!!
Thanks in advance!!

Yes, once it revert back to factory stock, you may received an OTA upgrade to 4.3, make sure don't take the upgrade if not the 4.3 will lock your boot loader and you will NOT able to flash custom rom or custom recovery (you probably knew this right?). Also if you already on the 4.3, you CAN NOT REVERT BACK TO MF1. You will soft brick your device.

Yes, I plan to update her phone to the new 4.3 ROM in the dev section but right now I can't do anything with the phone because when I am in TWRP recovery it keeps rebooting on me during Restore and when ever I try to wipe as soon as I swipe to wipe it reboots. That's why I am just going to odin back to stock, reroot and flash 4.3 in recovery.
BTW, Thank you for your help!

Did you try wipe: cache, dalvik cache, system and data? (wipe all 4 at the same time) then reflash the firmware with twrp. BTW what version is your TWRP? It may help to take a look at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553199

Yes, as soon as it says wiping data without wiping data/media it reboots, i'm on latest TWRP version 2.6.3.1.
My phone on that recovery kept on crashing when it had to wipe data. Not sure why, but i had to odin flash cwm recovery. Im afraid to go back to twrp, in fear of the same issue. Any idea what to do?

I would just stick to CWM, they have a touch version.
Sent by me.
I'm on cwm now, but when twrp had to touch anything /data related, my phone would reboot to a bootloop, since it corrupt the data when it crashed.

[Q] Reverting back from Kartini Engine V2.0

Hi,
I was about to flash the Kartini Engine V2.0 (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600244) on my XL, but before I do that I wanted to know how I would revert back to my original state if I wanted to (I'm on stock 4.2.2 build 15.3.A.1.12).
From what I understand, I can either:
1. Reflash the stock firmware using Flashtool or,
2. Restore my nandroid backup
Is this correct or am I missing something here?
Also, for the 1st case even if I don't select "wipe data & cache" options in Flashtool that will still do the job, right?

Yes, you're right. If you have CWM you can just restore your nandroid backup, but when you have stock Kernel flash a ftf using flashtool. If you exclude wipe data and cache your data will stay, but your phone can sometimes get in to bootolop, so i,reccomend to do a clean FW installation.

OK, but just to be sure, reflashing the stock firmware will also unroot my phone? So the better option (if one has CWM) would be to just restore the nandroid backup, right?

Before sound was working perfectly no issue. Yes i post my prob on rom thread no one reply.
Somewhere i read that factory reset can solve problem but ibdont want to rest my phone. Is there any othe possible solution for this ??
Maybe reflash the same rom over the existing rom without wiping data? Or create a backup using twrp, reflash, and restore data?

Thanks so much .. Just let me know i have backup of old rom 5.0 can i go back to stock just flashing backup by twrp or i need to use anyother method??
If you backed up your old ROM using TWRP, you can restore it using TWRP. Before restoring, I recommend wiping the system, cache, and data. Just make sure you have a back up of your data somewhere in case something goes wrong.
