I can not get Heimdahl to work on my pc.
I once before rooted captivate glide from SD.
I have now a new captivate glide, which I because of reasons above - need to root and install CWM from SD.
I need to know where I can download file which I can install from SD to get phone rooted.
Please can I get any help.?

When ever I download a Rom, kernel, etc for my rooted Evo, it says to place it in the root of my SD card. The root is just the highest set of folders on the card right? Also, why do I have to put them there?

Hey I'm new to android, I rooted my epic 4g but didn't install any roms yet. I realize that I now want to upgrade my SD card storage. Would this mean I would have to root it again?

Samsung galaxy s2 rooted but not unlocked version 4.1.2. I want apps to go to my SD card bc they always go to my USB storage I don't want that bc I've ran out of available space

You should be able to go to : Menu - Settings - Application manager . Then move the Apps to the SD Card manually. You can also use Titanium Backup to move the current apps, and data to the SD Card. But for the future you can use ROM Toolbox to make sure the apps install to the external SD. Finally you can check out THIS thread that discusses some of the same things you asking. Although the OP is trying to accomplish the opposite.
I have samsung galaxy s3 (I9300). I don't have external SD Card in my phone. I have already rooted my phone and installed custom recovery CWM. I have gone through the steps of flashing Archi Droid ROM but it says to copy the files to root folder of SD card. As I don't have SD Card , is there any way to flash the ROM without SD Card ? Hello everyone. I bought this phone for my niece because her htc phone broke. I've always rooted via Odin with my Samsung phones but can't find any dedicated root method for the zte solar. It only has 4gb internal memory so I want to root it so I can set up folder mount for her so she'll have more room for apps. I've tried king root and towel root without success. Does anyone here have an idea on what else I can try to root it or so i can use the sd card for app storage? It's running on 4.1.2 if that helps. I've gotten spoiled with my 64gb s6. Thank you.
Just tried framaroot and that didn't work either. Also, USB Debugging is grayed out.
