[Q] Power button for camera? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Just a Quick question please: Is there a Exposed module download I can use for power button to take pictures? Or a setting in kitkat im not aware of? I'm on 4.4.4 using the Google camera app. For some reason I prefer a dedicated button instead of touching the screen!
Cheers all for help

The stock Motorola camera allows the use of volume buttons to take a picture, are you on gpe or stock Motorola?

Im using the SKY ROM variant and it has a mod to use the power button as camera shutter.. Can we change it so that it only functions when in camera app? It's just a pain losing the boot menu when outside the cam app...
If anyone has any idea, it'll be a great help! Thanks in advance!

Screenshots with android 4.2?

Hello xda developers,
I just flashed CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly which installed android 4.2 onto my Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 model GT-P5113. I am really happy with this update as I was able to keep my tablet rooted and upgrade to Jelly Bean. However, I am not sure about how to either add or setup a screenshot button like I had in the stock Samsung android ICS. is a screenshot setting available for Jelly Bean version 4.2? I would like to set up a screenshot option so that i can take a screenshot at anytime.
I thank you all for your help and assistance

Search in settings -> system -> power menu -> and ativate "screenshot" option.
Then if you long press power buton you will have the option to take a SS.
oh so thats how you do it...
Duarte777 thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate your help with this. Do you know if its possible to add a button so that it can do the screenshots instead of having to use the power button constantly? If anyone knows how I might be able to add that function I would be very
grateful.
Thanks

Pressing Volume Down + Power at the same time makes a screenshot.
Works on all Stock Android style ROMS like CM and AOSP.

pressing power + volume down at the same times
okay okay...
I have been using the power button to take my screenshots, but what I really want to know is how I can add a button on the bottom menu with the back button and home button so that button can be my screenshot button. If anyone knows how to do that I would be really grateful. I tried adding a button but all I can add is a menu button or a blank button or a search button. I did that from settings...
Any ideas?...

[Q] Can we switch the back button??

I always had a Galaxy S phone (S1 and S3). The return button was on the right side. On the Z3 the back button is on the left side. can we switch this?
If you are able to root there is a variety of apps and xperia modules which let you rearrange your soft buttons. Without root Im pretty sure there's no way.

If you're willing to accept some other changes, yes. Settings--Developer options--Force RTL layout direction. Results in some "interesting" layouts especially in lists.
Hey guys, can you please help how can we do this (taking back button to the right) for rooted devices? I mean is it something inside Xposed Module?
Can be done with Gravitybox
Hello,
I tried to look up how I can switch back button in Gravitybox but could not find it, can anybody guide?

Lol, let me get this straight.
You don't have a home hardware key and you don't like software keys?
But you want a way to launch without home hardware key and without using software keys???
You don't ask for very much......do you?

But I have the fingerprint sensor which I wish to make working like home button. I mean I have the function of home button but holding fingerprint sensor just bring me to home without screen search function.
Maybe there is some display gesture/trick with this fingerprint sensor to make it work? Maybe I don't explain it clearly?
I'll look into your app, thanks.

Damn, this app works miracles but not exactly this one!
In a shorter way: I need an app which allows me to simulate hold Home Button (to open Screen Search) using gesture or for example Volume + button or Fingerprint sensor. It must be a solution!
