Hi guys!
I have a phone (Doogee Mix) without hardware home button but with fingerprint sensor and don't like to use software buttons so it means I struggle to find a way to launch Google Search Screen (hold home Button which is impossible without software/hardware home button).
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Lol, let me get this straight.
You don't have a home hardware key and you don't like software keys?
But you want a way to launch without home hardware key and without using software keys???
You don't ask for very much......do you?

But I have the fingerprint sensor which I wish to make working like home button. I mean I have the function of home button but holding fingerprint sensor just bring me to home without screen search function.
Maybe there is some display gesture/trick with this fingerprint sensor to make it work? Maybe I don't explain it clearly?
I'll look into your app, thanks.

Damn, this app works miracles but not exactly this one!
In a shorter way: I need an app which allows me to simulate hold Home Button (to open Screen Search) using gesture or for example Volume + button or Fingerprint sensor. It must be a solution!

Does anyone know of a screen shot app that uses the designated camera button to take the shot? I would love to have something like this because I changed my hardware buttons around. Thanks

There's a designated camera button?

There is an app in the market called Drocap2. You need root access to use it, but it takes a screenshot when you shake your phone. Not exactly using the camera button, but as far as i know, there isnt a camera button on the hero.
Hope that helped!

ya if you reformat your keys.
I have it when I hold search button down it goes to my camera. aka camera button.
well you've already mapped that key to take you to the camera so it doesn't make sense that you would then want to take a screen shot with that same button. why not just map a screen shot program to a button?
The new m8 just got root, and I'd like to see if anyone could fix the issue i have with the hardware key placement. Specifically, the position of the power button annoys me quite a bit. On the old One it was at least accessible through your index finger, but the m8 must have been designed by lefties!
I'm looking for a module that would swap the function of the power key with the vol+ key to see if that will fix my little hangup with this phone. No pun intended.
Thanks!

I'm surprised this isn't a bigger complaint amongst m8 users. Well, if anyone finds anything, please let me know! Thanks!

I'm also not a fan of the power button being switched. At least we can double tap the screen to unlock. Cuts down the usage a bit.

Agreed, but it doesn't help when wanting to lock it quickly with one hand after the phone has already been unlocked. I'm more interested in that function than waking it. But glad to see I'm not alone in this.

I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock in tandem with Nova Launcher and just assign a gesture to it which in turn will turn the screen off and lock. Works great.
I just use gmd gesture control to do a three finger downward swipe to shut the device off.

For my purposes, I'm trying to find a one-handed solution. So 3 fingers is no help when the phone is in-hand. But thanks for sharing your idea!

What I did was use gravitybox > navigation key actions and then set back key long press to go to sleep. Works perfect but I am left handed so you might want a different key.

This is how I do it. Just a single finger swipe upwards shuts my screen off, then a double tap turns it back on. Works great for me!
Now if only someone could figure out how to get double tap (to wake) working in landscape mode.
Hey guys -- I just posted a fresh thread for this, but since I assume you all have weaksauce+xposed working...
After my soft-reboot to install xposed, wifi would not turn on. Did anyone else have anything similar happen?
I did weaksauce, phone off/on, install xposed, full reboot (accidentally), enable xposed, soft reboot, then no wifi when the phone came back up.
Any ideas?
Hey guys so i just bought the note 5, i still own my note 4. And i think i will, stick with the note 5 but there us just a few questions i would like to ask those who are more knowledge than me.

1. According to Samsung, this is the case
2. Try long pressing the back button
3. Don't know, haven't tried
4. Hold Power & Volume Down for 10 seconds
5. Don't know this either.

Press and hold the recents key. It's been like that since the Note 4
Edit: Actually I just got the phone and the long press doesn't bring up the menu anymore, brings up multi window. Weird

They moved the menu to long pressing the back key.
#6, Yes you can register multiple fingers.
I just installed ota of Android M and used to have a Tasker job run when dragging up the home button. This would allow me to lock the screen as if I hit the power button. Was a good way to eliminate a button press. Is there anyway to get similar functionality?

Yeah it's gone for me too. Found a bunch of subreddits, and everyone says theirs is gone too.
But Nova Launcher has a gestures feature, you can assign swipe up to anything you want, but it only works on the home screen.
So far we have established one thing.. Bixby is not ready for the prime time.
However, I have completely different but relevant issue with it.
Trying to launch Bixby with the dedicated hardware button doesn't work at times. It's hit or miss.. Sometimes it works.. Sometimes it doesn't!
Anyone has this problem??
PS: I tried the earlier remap workaround and facing this ever since.
Same here. Did you do the update. After I did the update for verizon it seemed to start doing it.
I think it was after the update.. Not sure what causes this but it is annoying for sure..
Take it as a gods sign.. Bixby not working even if you want it to. Lol
Mine was not working at all, then it worked occasionally and now it's working 100%. It seems you just have to warm it up a little
UK version here and I hate the flippin Bixby but the button works every time i accidentally press it lol

I have another thread going on this, but a lot of us are facing the same issue after the update. I've reset my phone entirely and set it up with a clean install, but it still happens. Samsungs fix for stopping the remap is probably the cause of this issue.
just updated mine on sprint and now I have to double press the button for it to work.. single press or long press doesn't work but everytime a quick double press works.

I have noticed that it always works if i press it really really quick. If i leave the button pressed for half a second it wont work. Either click it really fast or just double click.
Same issue here after the update

Don't know whose all aware of out but bxactions is back up and running with an updated version for the update. It only lets you remap it to one thing instead of 3 now, but still better than Bixby

But it is still a double tap after the update ugh this is weird

I'm wondering if the update did this on purpose to keep people from accidently hitting the Bixby buttin in stead of volume button and then would pull up Bixby when all you wanted to do was mess with the volume. I know I've done that a few times.
Try too double press the button...
Same here, what a joke.
I had to double tap all the time to get it out. I like it that way as it stops accidental presses for me lol
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
It's just that the button time is like 0.00005 of a sec before it thinks it's a long press and does nothing.
Fix is just a very quick tap of the button makes it function every time ... All the time ?
The new T-Mobile fixed the tapping for me.
