Anyone know if there is an equivalent to the stock camera app that leverages the dual cameras available for AOSP based ROMs?
I know they released the SDK, just wondering if anyone has leveraged it yet...

The stock gb camera apps is horrible.
Any good ROMS with good camera apps that you can recommend?
any touch to focus apps? Thanks in advance.
MIUI has a pretty sweet camera.
Also any Froyo based rom has the LG camera app. I believe whitehawx's weapon rom has a hacked version of the LG camera app too, but not sure if its fully functional with the front facing camera.
Can someody do this? The google camera v4.4 has 2 problems with our device: It requires arm64, yet there are versions for arm in xda, but then another problem appears.. it requires camera2 api.
Can someone port this to our device? Like the moto camera that requires camera2 api was ported for us.
I agree, yes please! If possible. I'm running pixel experience. Maybe the latest version with portrait mode instead?
Google camera got only ported to Snapdragon 820/821 and 835 . I am very sceptical that somebody would actually do this, I better wish that video recording could be fixed in Oreo ROMS...

It's semi working on the G5 plus but only using 64bit ROM
Hello friends,
I'm little confused about the refocus thing which is recently introduced by Vivo in its V9 model.
How this works?
Is it works on other phone models having dual camera?
Is it to do anything with different aperture of dual camera?
After coming such technology, is it able to be ported to other mobile devices then why it's not yet ported.
These are some beginners questions about camera development technologies.
I would really like to root my phone to get access to the Android 9.0 features, but I don't want to lose the stock camera. I know GCam port exists, but there are things that it can't do that I like doing on the stock cam. So is there any hope we can use it on an S9 version? Or would Samsung need to do that?
Only way to use the Samsung Camera would be to be on Samsung's Android, due to proprietary code that powers the camera.
If you want Android 9.0 features, and the Samsung camera, you'd need a 9.0 ROM port from the Note or S9, which don't exist because 9.0 hasn't arrived on these devices yet.
If you only want the latest camera, there's usually camera ports like https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/port-samsung-s9-camera-port-ar-emoji-t3826284
Hello to everyone.
I know this isn't the place for my subject.
But I've been looking for a long time.
And the section of applications and problems is almost unseen.
Please excuse the members and supervisors
In fact, after trying out a lot of cooked turkeys,
I couldn't find the original camera quality for Samsung.
In the oreo version 8
Specifically, it's about rear cam selfie.
The original camera gives an impression and effect that I didn't find in the Android pie cameras.
I searched a lot online to find the original Android 8 camera with all its components and effects.
But I couldn't.
I want to get the original camera with its effects on Android 9.
Since I can't stay on Android 8 right now.
And at the same time, I don't want to lose this great camera.
I hope you pay attention.
If you use AOSP Pie, you won't get Samsung stock camera working respectively Samsung stock camera results.
I'm not sure about Pie stock ported versions like FloydQ (it's Q, not Pie, actually), but as they're based on Samsung firmware, there could be a better chance that you'll get your desired results.

I'm already on the TW version
And I tried most of the pie versions
But it's not good as the original Oreo camera.
By the way... Other oreo-based roms aren't the same as the original.
The only rom that has the same camera quality is a super-man rom.
I tried to extract the camera files from him and insert them in other roms with a rom control, but I failed.
I wish I could find what I'm looking for.
To get the same quality as the original Oreo camera on the pie.
