Softkeys in landscape don't show up. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I enabled the on screen softkeys with the build prop tweak:
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
and they work fine in portrait mode, but in landscape they simply don't show up.

Any suggestions? I'm on SuperLiteROM (SafeStrap) but it was doing the same thing on stock 4.4.2 (NE1).

I ran the soft keys myself for a while and I'm almost sure landscape isn't available with that option. I'll edit my build prop and see if it works on my end
Edit: installed it and it looks fine in regular mode but this is all I get in landscape and I'm on an unlocked bootloader

I'm running a 4.3 rom currently so that's not necessarily true

You could try GMD auto hide soft keys app from app store. You should able to resize the height, hide or unhide with a tab or swipe and transparency. You just need root. Btw you also could use enable soft key app to turn on or off without the need of editing the build.props file, much easier, basically its doing the same.

To add to your comment, editing the build.prop file really isn't all that hard.

[Xposed] Modules

Double Tap
A user named _TB_TB_, ........has made an xposed module that allows 4.1.2 users to implement jellybeans 4.2's double tap app feature
i.e. allows you to tap on the app of choice twice to select third option to "always" "just once", not homescreen
Download link

Edit: tested and working on Darkmans 8010 4.1.2 rom
Con, slows down my task switcher....next to home button, let me know if you dont experience this

I've been using the AlternateAppPicker: ICS-style default app chooser for JB on my S3.
No slow downs. No need to double tap just to access the App "just once"

Yep, i saw that app, tried, it is deffinatly easier method, but one thing i didnt like is that it used the old ics version, i like the look of the jb slightly more, but that one you posted deffinatly gets the job done

* request * 4 Button Navbar (Menu Button / 3dot Menu)

anyway we can add a "Menu" button to the default 3 button Navbar for Xperia Z1?
something similar to the below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46622500#post46622500
You can use the xposed framework and the 3dot menu module.

3dot menu disables totally the nav bar.
Gravity box from the other works fine for that.

That's why I hate that stupid Xposed.
It's great idea but it rarely works well.
It'll ne best to have app for that.
I'll check few mods from XS and try to port it to Z1.
I already planned to build one but I saw problems with camera so I decided to wait for a bit.

[Q] need to change the wat to power phone off

i am having an issue when my phone is in my pocket it turns itself off it only happens in pants pocket so i think it is just pushing the buttons randomly and turning off so i was wondering if there is a way to change the power off to be after the lockscreen sorry if this is a very noob question but when i searched i couldn't find anything about it
thanx in advance
rojell
Try a pin or patter lock. It should prevent your leg pressing the shut down option.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
thanx for the reply
i do use a pattern on the lockscreen but i don't even need to unlock to power it off which i find kind of strange
Ah it's been a while since I used stock. I forgot the global power menu was still accessible.
Xposed modules such as gravity box can change the options in power menu. If you're rooted and not using ART, maybe that will help
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
ok thanx rootsu i am in the process of getting everything ready to root so ill just wait till i have that done
so will this not happen with most roms when rooted or is it just certain ones
thanx for the info
Can't answer for that.
I use gravity box with Xposed

but ill keep gravity box and xposed in mind once rooted
again thanx for the info
The power options still work even if pattern or pin is enabled. I can power off the phone without unlocking it. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Maybe a 3rd party lock screen can block it.

[SOLVED][Q] How to get rid of debug buttons in camera?

Did you change anything in the build prop? Like from user to debug? Or try And activate multi window?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I did change something in the build.prop. I'll change it back and see if that works. Thanks!
Edit: I swapped the original build.prop back and still no luck getting rid of the debug buttons

If it acts like multi window does after switching build prop back android retains the multi window functionality. I bet if ya dirty flash the rom again it may make it go away

Thanks for the response. I thought that had worked but no luck. I guess I'll just have to deal with it...
Edit: I figured it out! I had Switch Access turned on in the Accessibility settings. Turning it off solved the problem. Thanks again for the responses!
