No mobile data Connection with correct APN - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am using my OnePlus One (64GiB) several days already but today i expierenced a total no data connection. It connects to WiFi and uses the Internet with no problems but if it comes to the mobile data connection it can't connect to the Internet while I have full network shown on the upper right corner. I can call and send SMS with no Problems. This Problem appeared just today and i called my service provider and they say that there is no problem with there network availability and I should check my APN settings which I checked and they are correct. Then the customer consultant said it could be my phone.
I inserted a SIM card from another service provider but it also does not connect to the mobile Internet connection.
So it seems to be that there is some faulty settings on my phone or even an defect. How can I fix that?
Thanks in Advance.

Ok. So your data connection was working fine with that same build previously? Nothing changed on your phone, it just stopped working?

That's strange! It seems like a very random glitch then, which often seem to fix themselves as randomly as they occur.
Have you tried rebooting your device, turning off/on data? Also, in Settings>Mobile Network Settings, is your preferred network type set to LTE, or the highest that's there?

Ok, and the "Data Enabled" checkbox in Mobile Network Settings is checked? And you are positive APN is all correct?
If yes and yes, then I'm not sure what could be the problem, considering how it WAS functioning previously. I would just suggest to keep rebooting and fiddling with the Network settings, such as turning off/on data, verifying APN settings, checking Network Operator, making sure SIM is properly inserted, etc.
I wish I knew exactly what was wrong, but I'm not sure.

A factory reset was my last option. Thank you this did fix it.

Did you resolved? I've same problem. Factory reset didn't work for me!

Hi,
I have the same problem. I only had the phone for three weeks now and two days ago internet stopped working in the middle of browsing/watching you tube video. Did not start since even though I've tried several methods (except factory reset, as I want to leave that one as last resort.
Is there any other way than factory reset to fix it ?

Do you all have franco kernel installed?

Need help
I lost the internet connect when I installed CM12 Nightly -> thought it was a bug in the ROM and sorta lived with it.
But when I reverted to 11-S I realized that the internet connection didn't work on that rom either. I've tried everything factory reset - Soft/Hard - reset -> flash other rom's on it. EVERYTHING!!! -> I also tried a couple of different SIM-cards none of them worked, I tried to contact my ISP, they couldn't help me, they said I had all the right settings so it's most likely something with my phone...
I've got no idea on how I can fix it. and would love if anyone could help me sort this problem out -> I don't have any important data on the phone so we can reset it as much as needed...

I did ask One Plus about it, they send me this zip (re-uploaded) http : // www . mediafire . com / download / rmuaie7f8ch5dji / ONEPLUS % 2BONE - StockRecovery - Windows . zip
(can't post links yet) which I then ran to fix the problem. just be aware of that it locks your bootloader again, if you don't want it to lock your bootloader edit the .bat files and delete the line which says "fastboot oem lock" and you should be good to go (worked anyways for me).

Thanks a ton this really was Helpful.. I guess OnePlus One has a glitch 11.1 and now also with 12.1 CM.. Will try Factory Restore and will update.. Same thing happen with my Frnd in India.. who switch between SP's. He had to restore to fix the internet issue.

I have had the same problem on one of my oneplus 2's. One phone works fine. The other phone was working but is not connecting to Internet using data connection. I have checked the settings and they are exactly the same as the other phone which is working fine.

Signal / Sim issue?

Hi Guys,
Strange problem that has me a little stomped and nervous..
Basically I was on the one plus one official forums and found a thread talking about how much better 25R is when it comes to battery life.. I have a brand new Oneplus one that is is / was on 44S.
In this thread they linked to xda for the rom, it was just a stock 25R rom that was made a flashable zip. Well I figured what the heck might as well try it, made a nanoid backup and titanium backup, wiped and flashed away.
Well as soon as I booted into 25R I noticed I had no signal at all, like nothing. So then I set up the system a little figuring whatever just need to reboot I guess.. Still nothing.
I then pop out the sim card and notice now the "No sim card" icon displays then disapears over and over.
I reverted back to my nanoid and still my sim card issue persists.. Nothing I seem to do restores my signal, I have flashed multiple modems etc..
Has anyone ever heard of this? I find it very hard to believe I some how developed a hardware problem the same exact time I flashed 25R.. sure as hell seems like a hardware problem though.
*** Edit I tried one more.. on the Android Developement area there was a stock rooted 44s with a zip that has 44s etc.. modem etc.. I flashed this file - even though I already flashed another 44s modem zip.. Seems to have given me back my signal and sim detecting abilitie.. Thankfully..
I don't know what triggered this, this is the thread I got the 25R zip from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/rom-xnph25r-cm11s-zip-t2820008
Teach me to flash anything while at work without access to fastboot.
I had this problem aswell, actually still have it whenever i flash a new rom.
The thing you have to do to get your signal back is changing your preferred network type in Settings > Mobile networks.
Mine has no option ticked standard, so i had to manually set it to 3G which solved my problem.
Tell me if it worked for you!

[Q]Opo keep rebooting...

Hello,
it's been a week that my opo keeps randomly reboot...at first i was thinking about it could be a kernel problem (I was on stock CM11S) so i decided to jump on CM12....nothing changed. The phone keep rebooting every like 2min, last_kmesg just give me a "no error" string. Meanwhile i tried on get my opo to 100% stock using this guide but nothing changed.
Then i focused on efs...could be a corrupted efs partition...so i tried the recovery guides out there...the strange fact is that my IMEI is showing correct while my IMEISV is just 00 ...Is that right??
Now I'm going to try this guide and see what will happen
THank you for any help you will provide.
Having 00 for the IMEISV is normal so don't worry about that. When you returned your device to stock did you completely wipe the internal storage too? And did you leave it completely stock or did you install apps?
Transmitted via Bacon
Thanks for your reply.
While stock it did reboot like 10 times after SIM pin unlocking, so nothing installed
And yes, everything is wiped out, including storage.
Have you tried this?

Yes, already tried this out.
The only differences i see on the whole system is that my phone number is noto showing anymore while 3g network still works, and also no bluetooth address shown...
Reboot happens the most during app update or when trying to connect to mobile network or when switching from WiFi to data

[Android 5.1] no service

My phone has suddenly stopped having any service whatsoever, I have tried everything, factory reset, format data, but have still been unable to get anything. I tried playing around with the radio settings and the APN but that hasn't worked either. If anyone has some ideas, they would be welcome.
Did you try putting the sim card into another phone?

Does the SIM status screen show your phone number and IMEI? I had a Galaxy Nexus once that quit working, and those were blank (or maybe it said unknown) in the status screen. I figure possibly the EFS partition developed a fault or got corrupted.
I flashed the 5.0.1 radio and was able to get service again and can now text but I'm still unable to call anyone.Whenever i try to dial the number it simply goes silent, loses service and ends the call. I am also still unable to receive calls as well, all calls people attempt seem to cause me to lose service and only get a voice mail afterwards.
I haven't checked the sim status screen yet and I am unsure as to how.

If it was me, I'd try flashing the radio from Factory 5.0.1 (LRX22C)
It is baseband M8974A-2.0.50.2.22
Extract the radio from the .tgz
Here
You can always flash back if their is no improvement
Thanks for the suggestion but I have already done so and I have observed no improvement. am beginning t suspect that it may be an issue with the EFS but I'm not sure what steps to take to verify this.

After flashing 5.01 radio, did you try to wipe cache and dalvik cache? Maybe the phone process still has bad cache (if possible). Just a try! I hope it works. Otherwise there is some big problem
Thanks for the advice. I am considering filing an RMA with google although I'm unsure if I'll be covered since I live in Canada

If you suspect EFS corruption, try restoring any TWRP backup you made prior to the problem.
The EFS partition will be present in the backup, unless you unchecked if you checked that partition in TWRP Backup.

Efs is not backed up by default. You have to choose it.

I have a similar issue. After I updated to 5.1 my mobile data doesn't work. I tried everything listed before in this thread with no result. I don't know what is happening. The first one I updated using 5.1 factory image. Reverted to 5.0 Factory image and it worked again. So, I update by OTA to 5.01 and then to 5.1, same results. This drives me crazy! I want 5.1 on my Nexus
BTW I have D821 model. Any suggestion?

There is another topic on this matter (i.e. common problem): http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/sim-card-recognized-upgrade-to-nexus-5-t3054267
For me it helped, ejecting and reinserting the SIM card. But I had also flashed other ROMS and cleaned the SMS/call/contacts database. So not sure why it worked.
I also notice that my System UI frequently stops. Does anyone have a stock System UI for me? Many thanks!
I am having similar issue and SIM status shows Radio off, how do I turn on?
Thanks.

This problem is killing me -- "Not registered on network" -- I've tried everything
I have the SM-G920F model S6.
Custom rom initially was XtreStoLite 1.4a with the latest bootloader and modem installed via Odin.
It was working fine for a month or so... Then suddenly I received network connectivity issues (doesn't connect to 3G/4G and I can't make or receive any calls or texts). I thought the sim was damaged, I bought a new one with a new number, still not working.
I upgraded the rom from 1.4a to 1.5 via TWRP (doing a factory reset too).
Still nothing.
I've tried turning phone off and on, clearing the cache for the "phone" app too.
Also checked the IMEI number, it's fine, no mismatch and it's not banned/been blocked either. Tried the whole selecting a specific network/finding network automatically thing too, no dice T_T
Nothing is working.
Anyone help? It's crazy that my phone isn't working despite all these actions I'm taking!

Maybe you really should try stock ... Or if you managed to root without triping Knox you could unroot and go completely stock and if it works test it for some time and if stock dose not work ... Then at least your phone is stock ( taking in account that Knox is not triped ) go to service and see if they could help you in any way ...
Also if you have warranty at all ...

Reset SIM Settings! SIM dead

Hello,
Yesterday I called my network operator since I was the only one in the office (compared to others with the same network operator) unable to receive calls.
The support made me receive a Network Configuration SMS, I applied it and immediatly the SIM started to turn on and off (see link):
https://imgur.com/a/uLAhcDU
As of now, my SIM works on other phones, other SIM (from same and different network operator) works on my phone. Looks like a configuration issue directly connected to my SIM/IMEI.
Tried to reset what I've been able to reset, and to reflash ROM. The only option left is to factory reset, but I'd not like to.
Is there a way to reset the SIM configuration? I am rooted if needed.
Thank you!

Was afraid of that.... Strange that reinstalling the rom did not work, would expect a reset to the older APN settingswith the new install. You can try to delete the system partition first before installing the rom again, don't know if that will work, but hope you will get the old APN settings again. With a factory reset it should work ofcourse but can inmaging thats not your first option....

Deleting system partition didn't work. I'm sure it was some config in my data.. Maybe it was just a file to delete/modify.. Anyway I've ended up doing a factory reset.
