How do I go back to stock?? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

LOL.
I am S-off and rooted running stock rom.
How do I do a factory reset?
I would like to just reload the stock rom but the option is not there in TWRP. When I go into settings and click reset, it reboots to TWRP and I cannot find factory reset.
I would like to leave S-off, TWRP, and root if possible.
Why am I not seeing it?

Ok I'll give you the thread link give me a second.

If you run the RUU you will have to flash TWRP again.
Next time around, take a nandroid of your stock system before you change anything. That way it takes you 5 minutes for a clean slate.

Did it work out for you?? And definitely take a nandroid

What do you mean, by going back to stock? If you want to go back completely to factory stock, you must Oden and flash the stock Image or tar with it

So I have to use odin to flash back.
Another question, if I just wipe everything and restart my GS3, will it just go back to a clean SynergyROM r## that I installed?

Yes sir. By doing a factory reset, it will only take you to a fresh clean rom (synergy)
I used this method and it works perfect!

soft brick i guess...any advice

So I rooted, unlocked, and flashed cwr and had no problems. I decided to flash PA last night. I did a factory reset and wiped caches before and caches after and I ended up with the following picture. I'll used ODIN I guess to restore stock? Any tips for me? This screen (my pic) isn't new is it? Sorry I just got the s3 a few days ago. Goodbye droid x.
You did not unlock the bootloader. Odin back to stock, download EZ Unlock 1.2 to unlock bootloader with after you root them go thru the same steps you already have to flash the ROM that you want.

Yep Odin back to stock. That means your boot loader isn't unlocked. You probably used version 1.4 of easy unlock. Use version 1,2 after you go back to stock.

I used ez-unlock 1.1 and thought it worked. 1.2 wouldn't work for some reason, it just froze. I'll try it again. Thanks everyone!
1.2 is the better of the choice because the newer version of ez boot would still say unknown but still unlook the boot loader. Weird..

Starting my phone after 2 months

2 months back, I upgraded my phone to S3, so I kept my infuse aside. Today morning when I tried to switch on the phone, phone doesnt start.
It was perfectly working before I upgraded my phone.
Is it bricked? I am able to open CWM, I wiped cache, dalvik cache and factory rest through CWM. Is there any other way to get back instead of download mode. my last destination is download mode, go back to stock. but just checking, if there is any other way, before trying it.
TIA

yeah if you had adb access there is a chance you could identify the issue but the idea that you'd be able to correct it is iffy. but if you hadn't already done a reset you could potentially use adb to backup your data and apps before a reflash. anyway I think you will like the selection of jelly bean ROMs. the infuse might not be a galaxy s3 but with cm10 its not so bad.

Well if your phone wasn't rooted or didn't have recovery, how did you try flashing ICS, start over using a back to stock, then follow instructions to a t, on root, recovery, boot loaders, and finally go for a jb ROM there are a few very stable ones available.

I am using •Heimdall One-Click Back To Stock UCLB3 + Easy Clockwork Recovery Mod Install (FOR AT&T USERS) Last Updated: June 03, 2012
this to goto stock, then flash boot loaders.
After flashing boot loaders, I am trying to root the device using super oneclick, then I am stuck on the screenshot shown in my previous post.
If you have clockwork mod recovery you don't need to root. Find an ICS ROM and flash away. BUT FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE OP. Not shouting at you just emphasizing the importance of it.

Sure just flash the old firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322755
bootloader clear storage
fastboot flash your new custom recovery
Then load whatever rom you want and install it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
or another way, I did, just to see if I could go back if I wanted to
flashed stock recovery
factory reset from bootloader... waited for it to do it's thing.... when it rebooted to phone I held down the power button to reset it.. held down volume down to get back into bootloader.
made sure it was in fastboot usb mode
ran RUU
But that was kind of overkill.

Sure, it's not going to get rid of Soff or anything.
That only happens when you use the ****** (fastboot command that will not be named, because someone will use it and have a paperweight)

Thx for your advices !
By doing the 1st or the 2nd method, then I'll have to re-unlock via HTC Dev ?
I ask that because I want to restore with RUU and I see everywhere that I have to relock the bootloader before doing this.

You don't have to relock bootloader to run RUU on s-off device.
Just reboot to fastboot, make sure your pc can see your phone and execute ruu*.exe

Yes, that is the important bit, clear storage in bootloader when you have the STOCK recovery.
The stock recovery fixes the issues. (from what I have read on our forums)

It's a common issue. You need to factory reset with stock recovery (or possibly format data with TWRP, unsure of that). Make a nandroid, copy it to your computer, flash stock recovery, factory reset, flash custom recovery, restore nandroid. Fixed.
This information is also hidden away in post #2 of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
